    Finish training for a race in 6 weeks just so I can complete the race.

    I use to be on Spark People and they had these groups (200-ville, 190-ville, etc.) that you could join and it was a big motivator for me to lose weigh in 10 pound increments. There's not a lot of action now in those groups but I still do this mentally.
