Eff me. I knew I should have bought it. I said I didn’t want it because I didn’t want my property split be a county road.
Someone’s building a house here. Welp, hope they ain’t bashful and don’t care about a long haired country boy, bare assed, playing on his property. 😂
Crap on a cracker!
That really is a bummer.
Always buy the land next to you if you have the money!!!!!
Ya may need to plant some privacy.
I know. I could have but want to keep the cash on hand because I’m holding out for the hundred or so acres that is adjacent to the other sides of my property.
I was here first. They can avert their eyes. I’m not muslin’ up my hay fields. Cattle’s going over there eventually too 😂3 -

So true.A million years ago a piece of property was offered to all us neighbors that abuts all our backyards. I wish we'd had the money then to enlarge our property and fill in the swamp that was there.
C'est la vie.
I guess Tman will be wearing a towel around the pool from now on.2 -

People who refuse to advocate for themselves and question their doctor, their insurance companies.....they simply accept answers without doing any searching or questioning.
And there's a big difference between refusing and not being able to.....
Maybe I'm becoming much more cynical as I've gotten older but I see people being figuratively S@rewed all the time by the corporations.
I took my dogs to the vet over the past couple of months and with all the catching up we had to do to bring them both up-to-date, I told the vet right upfront that finances were a big consideration right now. She then decided what would be extremely important, vs. kind of important and gave me options. Bless her heart. She understood.
And don't get me started on insurance companies. They say they pay this and that but I see people getting denied who don't appeal. My sister, TG, decided to appeal some charges she was told her insurance wouldn't cover. They ended up covering it all. They probably figure most people aren't going to bother. Because hey, they're big biz and know what they're doing, right? Like doctors know what they're doing, right?
I advocated for myself. Got called a hypochondriac to my face and thrown out of my neurologist’s office.
I actually do have a brain tumor. It’s benign, but slowly growing. She saw my balance disorder, decided it wasn’t Ménières, gave me a bunch of tests I didn’t ask for, found nothing, forgot about the brain tumor I went to her to monitor, screamed at me when I mentioned new symptoms (which turned out to be diabetic neuropathy, so…. Not actually in my head…)
So that left me furious and not wanting to ever speak to any doctor ever again.
I tried to advocate for myself. I really did.

Not gonna hit disagree on your post. But I do disagree with your post. Everyone has a right to decide for themselves what they do with and to their own bodies. I took the vaccine, because I believe in it, and in modern medicine. I also believe that we have a right to each decide for ourselves what we want to do, and not to be judged for our decision. If the vaccine works, and you took it, you are safe. If it does not work and you are at risk, it does not matter what your neighbor does.
My opinion...does not mean I am right, but what I believe.

Hi there. I'm very glad to hear you got the COVID vax, but am sorry to hear your thoughts on the proven efficacy of the vaccine. It's not a matter of "if the vaccine works". It works. The science proves that. You simply cannot argue against facts. In the case of infectious diseases like COVID, it very much does matter what your neighbor does - as we have learned the extremely hard way over the course of the past year and a half. I can't fathom how one cannot see that by now.9 -

No arguing with you regarding the efficacy. Fact of the matter is, if it works, you are protected. If people who choose not to get the vaccine and get sick, that is on them and not on you. If they pass it on to someone else, shame on that person receiving for not getting the vaccine, but again, nothing to do with you.
Everyone needs to do what is right for themselves, and quit worrying about what other people do. I get the flu shot....my neighbor does not. If he gets the flu, that's on him. Same with any other vaccine. Same with covid.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes IMHO. You and I got the vaccine. Good for us. (If it works, we are safe). If our neighbor chooses to refuse the shot because of their own beliefs, and they get Covid, that should not affect us at all.
I realize that there is plenty of published data showing the vaccine works. That being said, I personally know of a dozen or more people right now, not heresay, but people that I know, that have had the vaccine and currently have Covid. (or at least have tested positive for it with some symptoms that could be anything.) I also know a guy who had 5 independent Covid tests on the same day, 3 being positive and 2 being negative, so I really do not know what the truth is or what to believe.
My point over the whole thing is we should all do what is right for us and quit telling people that we know better than them what is right for them.

what seems to be flying over yours and others heads is that with a public health crisis, it actually does in fact matter what others are doing, not just yourself. that is readily apparent right now. yes there are breakthrough cases from those who have received the vaccine, but as you admitted those cases tend to be mild or asymptomatic, PLUS a small fraction of total cases. the VAST majority are unvaccinated, and our hospitals are reaching capacity again due to the UNvaccinated.
I'm so frustrated with the lack of care outside of one's own self.9 -
I'm sorry I can't be as calm and flippant as others about the whole anti-vax thing. I have a number of family members working in healthcare, as well as family and others I love who are under 12, and/or immunocompromised and CAN'T get the vax yet so are reliant on all of us to suck it up, get the vax, mask up, etc.
So it irks me. Yes, it irks me a whole helluva lot.7 -

Nothing personal, but we must agree to disagree. I am speaking on behalf of myself, an American citizen. I know this post will probably be taken down and I risk a warning by saying this, but it is relevant. In this country we have freedom. Women have the freedom to terminate the life of their unborn child. There are more innocent children's lives terminated in the US in a year than there were "Covid Deaths" in 2020. (And everyone knows that the total number of reported Covid deaths is elevated.) If this country says we have the freedom to do one, we MUST have freedom to do the other. You can't tell me it is ok to have an abortion, but that I must take a shot to protect others from a virus that has a 99% survival rate. If we are going to take a stand to protect life, we MUST protect all life. It will be said that this argument is apples to oranges, but it is not. If Covid is a "public health crisis" because of the number of lives lost, then so is the other. If we have freedom to do one, we must have freedom to do the other. My body, my choice has to apply to all areas, not just those that fit the narrative of one group or other. Freedom covers us all, equally.
Or at least it is supposed to.
Again, nothing personal and no emotion here...just my opinion.

Yes.. and no..
Grade school was in another country . Don't recall having a mandatory there (from memory).. when coming here... have to get updated shots for the rest of my school years and what not .. Wanted the educated.. so took the shots. No fuzz no muzz .. these where proven immunization shots and ppl gotten for YEARS if not decades..
Apples to oranges .
let's say.. your retired adult neighbor have other medical reasons not to get the shots.. you going to force them to take one even it kills them? You must really not like your neighbor. 🤷♂️

oh holy hell. I don't even know where to begin. I just -- I'm rendered speechless. Are you unaware of the assault on women's freedom to choose what we do with our bodies? Are you unaware as to how the two things have zero in common?
I can 100% tell you that being pro choice does not one iota conflict with being 100% pro vaccine, pro masking. A woman's right to choose to terminate her pregnancy or not has zero impact on her neighbors or the random person she walks by or sits next to on the bus. A person who chooses not to get the vaccine and not mask up can absolutely impact the next person they walk past or sit next to or wait in line at the grocery store.10 -
Argh. Sorting through the billions of kinds of dog food available is hard enough but why does a site lead people on providing the "13 best grain-free dog foods" out there, and the 1st 3 they list have brown rice. Correct me if I'm all of a sudden stupider than usual but isn't brown rice still considered a grain???
Why does feeding your dogs have to be so daMn complicated. I feel like I need a chemistry degree. The vet's not much help. The farm store isn't any help. And now the internet, who never ever leads anyone astray(saying heavy on the sarcasm), isn't much help.

For all y'all who are fixin to disagree with my post, I love y'all anyway.
I can't fathom how one cannot see that by now.

I'm so frustrated with the lack of care outside of one's own self.
For those of y'all that are fixin' to disagree this post, I love y'all anyway.
oh holy hell.
This is why it does no good to debate.
Life is life, until its not.
I give up.
