8/13-- 208.2-- expected this as I've been doing quite a bit of nibbling the last couple of days out of worriation. My fur baby had a procedure done Wednesday and watching her that evening constantly pacing around like a zombie, not knowing if she was in pain and not being able to give her pain meds because her stomach was empty (she has to eat before any meds--sensitive stomach) was just too much. It was 2 a.m. before she started coming around and wanted something to eat. I could finally give her some meds and she was ready to go out at 3 in the morning to do her business. I weaned it yesterday with 4 and a half hours of sleep and any sugar that I could find in the house. She's eating well and moving around, just a little slower so, I'm not worrying as much now and the nibbling will be handled.

Don't need hugs because this was self inflicted -- I have eaten anything I've wanted since Wednesday. I even went to the store and bought home candy!!!! And exercise, it's been out the door. I had no idea that my quote for this round would be advice to my ownself. I will surely have a gain at the end of this round.
8/17-- 211.0- Sooo, my dog was doing pretty good this morning and I decided to run to the store and get her some treats and drop something off at the post office. I came home and she had tore up a few of my new meal prep containers that my son sat on a barstool and pooped on my floor. She has NEVER messed with anything I have sitting around-- she won't even play with toys. I'm just wondering if it's the prednisone they put her on. Going to call the vet in the morning. Bright side-- I didn't eat up everything as I cleaned up the mess (literally lol).

The upward climb started with seeing friends that we haven't seen in almost 2 years, so although I don't like it, I'm not real upset about it, because it was great to see them. Also "food in transit" going slow, lol. Haven't been great with water either, so trying to push more of it. Hope I can at least get back to my round start weight by the end.

I was really hungry around 9 last night, held out until 10, then ate a piece of Dave’s Good Seed thin with a T of peanuts-only peanut butter. So calories a bit higher than planned, but not stupid high. I’m going to try for a walk right now, but we’re under a heat advisory with very high humidity and it’s already hot and muggy out, so I don’t know that I’ll get far. 8/14: 210 lb. Had a headache last night and this morning. But I am proud that I brushed my teeth after dinner and didn’t eat in the evening. My doctor said the first month won’t be easy but that it improves.

Challenge for this round is to continue yet again to work back towards maintenance – any loss will be a win! A healthy life style has to be a permanent way of life.
Covid restrictions have mostly been lifted in England – we have reached “freedom day”, but remember there is still a pandemic, continue to wash hands, be kind, wear a mask in crowded indoor settings, always consider others.Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, It's took me 75 rounds to achieve my under 130 target; back to maintenance again!! 8/11 135.4 - 11.87 miles walked yesterday. A really good day, I reset my eating, well in credit with calories and all other macros, hope to emulate it today and shortly see the reward on the scales.
8/12 134.4 – 8.99 miles walked yesterday, Calories well in carbs 4g over.
8/13 135.2 – 11.12 miles waked yesterday pushing DGS in his buggy, 30 minutes of which was not only uphill, but was against a brisk wind!! Don't really know how that affected my cardio as Fitbit was attached to my belt loop as when pushing him it doesn't count the steps; but it must have pushed heart rate up (felt like it anyway!!) Calories under, carbs & fat 7 &12g over respectively.
8/14 DNW – went away for the weekend in our caravan and forgot to pack my scales, in addition, we were in Wales with a very bad signal so abandoned trying to post! 10.12 miles walked yesterday.
8/15 DNW – 13.14 miles walked yesterday, enjoyed a Welsh cream tea and a few adult beverages.
8/16 135.6 – That's the result of being lax over the weekend – 8.34 miles walked yesterday.

@quiltingjaine Thank you for sharing the article about snacking. Hopefully a couple things in it will stick in my brain. Will try to sneak in some movement before I reach for a snack. My ideas are: a couple stretches, squats, jumping jacks, a few kicks, a few punches, march in place, drink of water. Things I can do in my office at work. Maybe even some back exercises.

But didn’t measure my amount of 1% milk & the Hershey’s chocolate syrup that I drank with my dinner last night. Chocolate milk was scheduled but only a certain amount. I got lazy. What an idiot! Lol so we’ll see what happens when I weigh in the morning. Lol
8/13 159 I guess not bad after yesterday. And forgot to mention that my sweet dog had a big seizure that I woke me yesterday morning. She’s still recovering from it. Needs assistance standing when not on carpet. Poor baby. Her condition improved as the day went on yesterday. But for a few hours afterwards she was very disoriented & bumping into walls & things. And my Mom had a slow motion fall yesterday even with a caregiver. New caregiver wasn’t trained or updated on her condition (poor mgmt & training/communications at the ALF) & wasn’t prepared. Supposed to have supplies ready before getting residents up & don’t leave a resident alone on toilet when they have dementia & can’t walk. So a very stressful day yesterday. Plus extra stressful events at work yesterday. All in all, I did pretty darn good! Lol
8/14 159 did ok yesterday.
8/15 159 diet was pretty darn good yesterday. Stressful day tho. Caregivers obviously forgot my mon yesterday. I had to call the ALF for them to get her out of bed. Of course, their excuse was that they get her up later as that’s what they usually do. Well, 11:30m for her to leave the room is way too late & besides they usually get her up at different times ranging from 7:30am to 9:30am. Plus she usually has morning meds with breakfast. Wtf. My dog had another seizure yesterday. She’s not doing well. My Dads eye infection was much worse. Just not a great day fir me, a gain… Today is a new day!!!!!!!
8/16 158.8 Did pretty good, yesterday. Normal work stress. Was awakened by SNF calling re: my Dad -- at 5am. He required wound care at that time... ghah! Then, noticed that my Mom was having an issue at the ALF. She can't walk anymore & has to be in a wheelchair, but she had gotten herself to a sitting position on the edge of the bed & was trying to get up. A caregiver finally went in there. (Motion sensors alert the caregivers on their pagers...) Luckily she arrived just in time to help my Mom, so no fall, thank goodness!
8/17 158.2 Did well dieting yesterday. At work this morning, got a terrible no good migraine, wasn't sure if that was all it was since I haven't had one this bad in so long. Was nauseous & had chills, felt incredibly tired, sneezed 6 times in a row & ended very congested. Had to call my husband to come help me at work. My co-worker was kind enough to offer to help when he saw me lying on the floor in my office. He's such a sweetheart. He brought me cold damp papertowels to put on my head & neck. My husband came & helped me do a Covid test -- thankfully negative, no fever, O2 was good, pulse was fine, Threw up, Gradually was better. Stayed at work & when better actually got work done. 8/10: 168.4 - IF 18.5 hrs, 80oz water. Rowed 30 min. The garden is really starting to produce now so it's that time of the year where every meal has vegetables out of the garden. Today I made zucchini noodles which I had never made or eaten. I didn't have anything to spiral them with so I just used a peeler. They were more like egg noodles than spaghetti. I was surprised how good they were. I like zucchini but cooking them this way really did make you feel like you were eating noodles.
8/11: 168.5 - IF 17 hrs, 64oz water.
8/12: 168.2 - IF 17 hrs. Not enough water, or vegetables yesterday. Replaced them with too many carbs/salt. We'll see if it catches up with me tomorrow on the scale, but, either way, today I'm back on track. I want to continue on this healthy track because I am feeling so much better!
8/13: 168.3 - IF 18 hrs. 44oz water. Rowed and Free-weights.
8/14: DNW - IF? I forgot to log when I quit eating yesterday and can't remember the time.
I usually stop by 5pm but had watermelon sitting on my counter and ate some every time I passed by it last night. This is also the reason I decided not to weigh this morning.

@quiltingjaine - Thank you for the reminder about watermelon. When I stop sugar and refined flour products, I tend to overdo sweet fruit like watermelon. I was more mindful of it yesterday. It's a beautiful Sunday morning with the humidity dropping. I'm going to ride over to the ocean this morning - should be beautiful with the clear blue skies.

8/10 - 240.4 (+.4) I usually try to eat before 6pm, but yesterday was a really busy day so I didn’t eat until after 8pm. That usually impacts my weight the next day. Looking forward to swimming in a few hours. My sister and I take weekly progress pictures. It was really inspiring to see the changes in the last 3 weeks.
8/11 - 239 (-1.0) Yay! Into the 230’s for the first time in several years. Yesterday’s swim was wonderful I’m recovering faster after each lap and able to keep moving the full hour. I swam 825 yards which is the most so far. Still a bit awkward with my strokes, but getting better.
8/12 - 238.4 (-1.6) Another nice drop. In the last two weeks, after my weight loss slowed, I lowered my daily calorie goals and that’s seemed to have an effect. My goal is 2 pounds a week so if it goes over that, I’ll bump the calories up until it balances out. I’m back to the pool today in between painting sessions.
8/13 - 237.0 (-3.0) Wow! I had a good swim yesterday. My endurance is getting better and I’m not using the kick board as much. I ate back less than half my exercise calories. I probably need to eat back a few more. Today is my indulgence meal, so I’ll gain back a little over the next two-three days.
8/14 - 237.6 (-2.4) A little bump up from my indulgence meal. I may have another bump up tomorrow. I did my workout at Orange Theory Fitness For some reason I was really tired yesterday. I haven’t felt that way for weeks, but after a nap, and a good night’s sleep, I’m back on track.
8/15 - 237.6 (-2.4) Yesterday was my rest day as far as exercise goes. Today is another hike with my sister. It should be a beautiful day!
8/16 - 237.6 (-2.4) Stuck for a few days at this weight. I ate late yesterday and didn’t eat up to the exercise calories I burned during my hike yesterday. But I am down from my starting weight and very happy with that.
8/17 - 237.8 (-2.2) I’m a bit disappointed and surprised, but I’m expecting a whoosh any day. I’m staying within calories. I have very busy days and am not eating on my previous schedule. Who knows…staying the course.
8/18 - 237 (-3.0) Back to my low weight. I can definitely live with that. Swimming was good yesterday. I swam 900 yards in about an hour. I’m slow, but steady. Leaving for a trip to see my son tomorrow so the next week is going to be a bit of a challenge.

8/10 - 251.3 Slight uptick today. We had alfredo pasta for dinner so probably some water retention. Also didn't run this morning after sleeping in. I always find the last pound getting to the next decade harder than any of the pounds in the middle.
8/11 - 250.2 SO CLOSE! 1 pound away from being 50 lbs down. Less than a pound away from under 250. Got in a short run this morning before work, doing a longer one tonight to see if I can see 249 on the scale tomorrow. Crazy to think that the start of round 159 will be on the 4 month anniversary of starting this and I could be down 50+ lbs. Really giving me that extra motivation I need during this period of 11+ hour work days!
8/12 - 249.8 Out of the 250s which means half way to the 100s. Also, this takes me out of the Morbidly Obese BMI and into just Obese. I'm just obese! The scale was teetering this morning between 249.8 and 250 but I gave it a death stare to get under 250. Did a short run again this morning but our A/C is broken... again, so that took up my morning.
8/13 - 250.7 Not really surprised by this after a stressful day dealing with the A/C and work. Had a high salt dinner so I expected a bounce up. Ran 2.5 miles this morning, though. I feel like the last week or so was a linear downtrend in weight so this is just normal life. Expecting a drop this weekend per usual.

8/16 - 247.4 The weekend drop strikes again! I was honestly surprised with the weigh-ins on Saturday/Sunday because of how much yard work I had to do this weekend. I spent almost 2 hours yesterday pulling up a patio and moving bricks across the yard. Now that I can officially say I'm 50 lbs down, the next goal is 60 lbs which is 1/2 way to my goal. The small goals like this group keep me motivated along the way!
8/17 - 246.9 Nothing really motivational today, because I'm really tired. I spent my morning shower thinking of what my next goal is after 60 lbs down because I've been so focused on that for 4 months. Long term I think it'd be cool to be down 100 lbs by Christmas but I know the weight loss is going to slow down so I don't want to pressure myself. Ran 2.5 miles this morning pushing through my exhaustion!

I’m going to try for a walk right now, but we’re under a heat advisory with very high humidity and it’s already hot and muggy out, so I don’t know that I’ll get far. Right now I’m having a second cup of coffee in the garden with about eight pairs of goldfinches, two Ruby-throated hummingbirds, some house finches, a bunch of sparrows, and a couple of wascally wabbits. Perfection!

How does that make any sense? Has to be water, even if yesterday was a false low, since my calories have been consistently below maintenance for more than a week. Frustrating, though. No hugs needed, just venting where I can! I think next round I’ll go to recording just my running average — much less volatile.

Reminding myself that my running average has dropped this round even if daily numbers are weirdly bouncy. I’m still having a snack in the evenings but have stopped crazy late-light snacks while reading, so that’s progress. And I’ve kept my calories below maintenance all round without trying for crazy low and without feeling deprived of anything. Yesterday I dug up two humongous plants I’ve decided to remove from my garden and planted a good sized hydrangea I had in a big pot, so that was my weight training for the day!

⭐️⭐️8/9 115.5 Great Greek for lunch yesterday with DD#2 and DSIL. (3rd Sunday in a row!😁♥️) This was an interesting week food wise. I ate several products with refined flour and they have not caused an increase in my weight but my knees are hurting again like they did 4 years ago.

8/10 116.5 ⭐️⭐️And there is the anticipated bounce! DGD#1 and BF came last night after leisurely trip with sightseeing from Oklahoma via Phoenix. They’re spending most of the day so they can see our DD#2, her aunt who works until 3:30 teaching. Then on to LA to his family.
8/11 116.0 1/2 Omelet House green chili omelet for brunch. DGD and BF stayed again last night because they would have been so late arriving in LA. Went “B Dubs” for dinner with DD, DSIL, and 2 youngest DGDs. I ate half of a chef’s salad.
8/12 116.0 DGD & BF left for LA around 1:30 yesterday afternoon. It was so nice to see her and meet him. We are so appreciative of them changing their route to come to LV before LA. We were concerned about the # of people and places they might expose us to inadvertently.

Goal today is to get water in.
