The beagle was abused when we took him in at about 8 years old, he looks for confort from my other dog, they are 2 peas in a pod now, and he over came most of his fears of humans after being with us 2.5 years now. I wish I could read his mind.
There's not a day goes by that he isn't sitting on my lap after being so terrified of people.

I hate the thought of poor defenseless animals being abused. One of the lowest forms of humans IMO. One of my wishes in this world is for each and every homeless pet to find a loving home.

One of our rescue dogs was found very pregnant just roaming the streets in Arkansas somewhere. When we brought her home, she was the most appreciative dog I've ever seen. Even my dd remarked at the time that she seemed grateful for everything.
