All of his books are like that; haven't read a single one that wasn't wacky and wild in some way.

I'm on Babylon's Ashes (Correy), the...6th?...book in the Expanse series.
...and when I asked if it was Carr earlier...not Carr...Michael Shaara! I bought it at the same time as, oh, probably The Italian Secretary, and so always think of Carr when I hear the name.0 -

Read Kite Runner several years ago...it was very well written and very hard to read (emotionally). Have not wanted to read anything similar. I read for fun, I get enough reality my job.0
