Once you've lost some weight & don't fit into some of your clothes anymore, what do you do with them?

goodwill.
Or try a battered women's shelter0 -
Some people offer them to MFP friends. Personally, I make use of them by altering them and making them brand new!0

salvation army, purple heart, if u want some money for them, maybe have a garage sale, or donate to a local church, etc.0

Donate.0 -
I have 2 friends that are my size...so I gave them to those people. I have already given away 1 entire wardrobe of clothes and will be equally excited to find someone to take the next size.0

I donate them.
It makes me feel good. You might get a tax break idk lol

Donate them. Or if it's possible I tailor them into funky new clothes I could wear :-)0

I just cleaned out my closet had 76 empty hangers! (I was so excited) but I donated it to Goodwill and will use as a tax write off!0

they took the words out of my mouth, but ive found if ya keep em its an excuse not to lose the weight so you can fit em still. <--- resembles that remark0

The nicer pants (Banana Republic, etc) I'm getting altered to be taken in a size or so. I spent ~ $100 on fixing 5 pr of pants, and that's way less than what I would've spent at BR all over again.
Other stuff is going in my goodwill donation box. After being cataloged VERY specifically so that I can take a nice deduction on my taxes
A friend gave me a pair of pants (she's right at a size smaller than me, I think) and I was super stoked about FREE pants.0 -
give them to me.. duh0
-
donate!0
-
Give them to your jealous "fat" friends, who did not support you during this process
))))) I've read that happens a lot, so don't get mad, get even

I donated them to a woman's shelter.0
-
Give them to my fat friends in exchange for adipex? hmmm....0

If you have suits or nice work cloths, please consider "Dress for Success" in your area where they help women, and men I think, who are being helped back into the community from being homeless or incarcerated. It's a worthy organization and yes, it is a tax write off.0

I donate to Salvation Army or the Society of St. Vincent De Paul.
I can't wait to get to the point where I can donate some clothes!!!!0 -

HAHAHA! I have a friend who keeps telling me she's a lot smaller than me. But when I said I lost weight & cant fit into some of my clothes anymore she said she really wanted them all.... LOL!?!?!?! She wants to clothes I wore 35lbs ago, yet she thinks she's smaller than me now? Hmmmm. LOL0 -
I never had many "fat" clothes to begin with but at some point I'm going to donate them somewhere. As a stay at home mom on a tight budget I really only have one pair of pants at a time (sad, I know) and I've lost two sizes, so I have two pairs of pants to get rid of. I'm pregnant again so most of my shirts will fit for a while.0

some went to goodwill and others went to my FAT friends, lol0
-
Donate some - but ebay some too - to fund new skinnier clothes0
-
I'm going to hang onto one pair of the large pants but give everything else to my little sister.0

Whatever you decide, make sure it does involve them leaving your possession. I've dropped three or so sizes a couple times in the past and have kept the clothes packed away. This makes it way too easy to allow yourself to gain the weight back. I believe I wouldn't have gained the weight back if I didn't have the clothes buried in the closet to run to when my new clothes starting getting snug again. If I know it's either buy more new clothes or start watching what I'm eating again I'm pretty sure I'll just start watching my meals. *This* time I will donate them.0

save some for your before and after pictures or donate them0

i shop name brand so my clothes are expensive.... i guess that's why i just dont want to give them away... but it's not like keeping them is any different than giving them away... that and i guess i'm afraid to gain weight again, because i've tried a few times in the past to lose, and just gained it all back =( but everyone is right, i do need to get rid of them. at least the pants! some of the shirts i'll keep for when i get pregnant again, maternity clothes are so expensive!0 -
I say donate them, but I'm keeping one pair of pants. I'll think it'll be fun to see the size difference at the end0
-
Ebay them or give to charity.0

Considering I have lived in floppy t-shirts and stretchy pants for the last 3 years since I didn't want to fund larger size jeans than the 16's I had hanging in the closet I will probably just wear the torn/stained/etc.for cleaning and sleeping until they are just too crazy big and then trash them and any that are in decent shape I will give to my pregnant friend.
I already have given away my 1 pair of size 18 Jeans - right back to the lady who gave them to me because they were too big for her0 -

Love this...Best revenge is to live well!!!0 -
Donate! : ) Or do you have any consignment stores were you could "sell" them? I noticed you said you have lots of good name brand stuff . . so that's what I do with my "good" stuff - I take them to secondhand/consignment stores that will sell them on my behalf. It beats having to have a yard sale and you can possibly make some $$.0
