Hello EVERYONE! I'm trying to lose the 30+ lb gained from pregnancy and the first couple years of motherhood. I followed this group from Sep and lost 6.9 lb in Sep. More importantly, I ENJOY doing this together with you guys!
9/30/2021: 140.8 lb
10/1/2021: 140.6 lb. Eat out tonight with friends so total calories probably reach 2000.... and it's Friday night
10/2/2021: 142.2 lb. Again, day with friends.... probably 2000 calories today weekends are hard...
10/3/2021: 142.0 lb. Total calories around 1300. Happy Birthday to me.

I am trying out this challenge for the first time! I am 44, 5'4", and just beat breast cancer this year! I am trying to get to a healthy weight so it will lower my chances of reoccurrence. I have 25 pounds to go for a healthy BMI. I am also on some medication for the next 5 to 10 years with not so great side effects. Eating healthy and exercising will help those side effects not be so bad.
My goals for October are to weigh, get 10,000 steps, and track calories every day.

October 4 169 Not sure if I trust this number or not. I ended up not getting my steps in or tracking yesterday because I was not feeling great. I was afraid I was getting sick, but I don't seem to be as bad this morning. Probably just from my medication. I have a busy day so getting my steps in will be a challenge, but I am going to try my best.

⭐️October 2…211.6…I was stress eating yesterday for my daughter, but today I’m over it! I’ll put my nervous energy to good use and dance while she takes her SAT this morning, and I’ll clean up her room and bathroom…which will make me feel better! HAPPY SATURDAY!

10/01-…...187.0 Well, there I am, off to a bad start. I had a full-on binge last night so this is not surprising. Today I will try to compensate as best I can but tomorrow may be a travel day. That means restaurant meal and less than normal movement. Ugg, why does it have to be such a rough road?
10/02-.…..185.0 I worked outside yesterday on painting and staining. Over 16,000 steps back & forth into the house. 6 flights of stairs and 2900 calorie burn overall for the day. That helped. I stuck to my guns and avoided over-snacking last night which is my #1 downfall. It all paid off. Today is travel so tomorrow the scale will be up again due to restaurant meal and lots of car sitting/driving but no worries. I will quickly turn it back around.
10/03-.…..187.0…..Well there is the uptick I expected. My goal today is to work it back down and not let it pull me in the wrong direction any further. Rain all day and thunderstorms expected too. Lots of workers will be here today again. No privacy until late tonight after 9:00 but I will try to go up & down my steps in the house, at the very least.
10/04-.…..187.2…..Some unexpected travel yesterday which took me away for about 4 hours late afternoon until evening. However, the shorter trip did not blow my dietary goals. I just lacked movement and as much water as I would normally drink. I hope today goes smoother.

@kkay2345 Welcome! Congratulations on beating breast cancer. I, too, am a survivior and taking medication. This is my 10th year on it. I am currently undergoing another scare and will be having surgery on the 22nd of this month. I think it will turn out to be okay but I'll have to wait out the process. You are 100% right about the healthy eating and exercising helping. I'll be rooting for you in all your goals. I may PM you later and would like to add you as a friend. Be looking for my request.
@deepwoodslady Thank you! I am excited to have another breast cancer survivor on here. I will definitely look out for your friend request. I hope your surgery goes well and everything turns out OK. I am finding the mental aspect of cancer can be so hard at times! How has it been for you being on the medication?
@kk2345 The medication has caused long bone pain (mostly in thighs) which does get better over time. Brain Fog for sure. Some memory loss (especially short term), and some pretty severe hair loss. I work on all those things as best as I can. I saw a dermatologist for a very long time with head injections, prescription pre-natal vitamins in their purest forms, prescription hair oils and prescription shampoos but none of it helped. After a couple of years I finally stopped going. I get the prescription prenatals filled by my primary care doctor and I skip the rest. It was a lot of long travel every month and just didn't help.
The side effects aren't always pretty but life is beautiful. I do feel the medication has help stave off any cancer return and I've been 100% grateful for it. I am staying positive!2 -

10/01-…...187.0 Well, there I am, off to a bad start. I had a full-on binge last night so this is not surprising. Today I will try to compensate as best I can but tomorrow may be a travel day. That means restaurant meal and less than normal movement. Ugg, why does it have to be such a rough road?
10/02-.…..185.0 I worked outside yesterday on painting and staining. Over 16,000 steps back & forth into the house. 6 flights of stairs and 2900 calorie burn overall for the day. That helped. I stuck to my guns and avoided over-snacking last night which is my #1 downfall. It all paid off. Today is travel so tomorrow the scale will be up again due to restaurant meal and lots of car sitting/driving but no worries. I will quickly turn it back around.
10/03-.…..187.0…..Well there is the uptick I expected. My goal today is to work it back down and not let it pull me in the wrong direction any further. Rain all day and thunderstorms expected too. Lots of workers will be here today again. No privacy until late tonight after 9:00 but I will try to go up & down my steps in the house, at the very least.
10/04-.…..187.2…..Some unexpected travel yesterday which took me away for about 4 hours late afternoon until evening. However, the shorter trip did not blow my dietary goals. I just lacked movement and as much water as I would normally drink. I hope today goes smoother.
10/05-.…..187.2…..I did sneak in a few extra calories last night after I closed out, but not enough to hurt the scale. I’m so glad to see a drop today. It’s time to see 185 point anything again. Hopefully in the next couple of days.

10/3 - 206.6 (18883 steps yesterday as I golfed 18 holes and walled the course. Had another meal out so the slight uptick isn't surprising.)
10/4 - 207 (13060 steps yesterday - tried HIIT for the first time, got out for a walk, and did my yoga)
10/5 - 208.4 (11011 steps yesterday, did a nice hike of Tunnel Mountain in Banff National Park, later supper and lots of sodium)3 -

Hello EVERYONE! I'm trying to lose the 30+ lb gained from pregnancy and the first couple years of motherhood. I followed this group from Sep and lost 6.9 lb in Sep. More importantly, I ENJOY doing this together with you guys!

10/1/2021: 140.6 lb. Eat out tonight with friends so total calories probably reach 2000.... and it's Friday night
10/2/2021: 142.2 lb. Again, day with friends.... probably 2000 calories today weekends are hard...

Hi everyone. I hope you don't mind a late comer joining in. I have done this whole, I am back again post sooooo many times but I really want to stick with it this time, so I think this might just help me stay on track.
I am a 37 year old 150cm (4'11") mother of 2. I gained a lot of weight with my first pregnancy, then was able to lose most of it, then gained it all back with my IVF treatments for my second child. Unfortunately, I never got in the grove of losing it after I had my son, so here I am 74.4 kgs and not very happy with myself. I am looking to get back into the normal weight category and just get my energy and fun loving spirit back. With the weight gain I have stopped living life like I used to and have found myself dealing with more depression, anxiety and short temperedness. Hopefully, losing weight and getting back to healthy will help alleviate some of that.

October 6: 74.4kg I am feeling really motivated today. Between reading this page and the posts over in the "What surprised you about losing weight" group, I am determined to get back on track. My main goal for today is to get in 10000 steps and eat within my calories.
