I made it up the very steep sledding hill at the very end in 1:44 though at the top I felt like I might fall backwards and roll to the bottom. 😂 The fastest several people did the hill was 20 seconds = wow! Only 44 people did it in under one minute.
Thank you for this post. You have motivated me to get off my duff and start exercising again. I have used the excuse for too long that I'm too old (68 currently). Have lost 100 lbs. so far, but would like to firm up this body and possibly lose the last 60 lbs. a little faster with exercising. Happy belated birthday. Hope you had a good healthy one.
Thank you for letting me know. I love that I can be someone's motivation!7 -
Size 4 jeans!!!! From 14/12 to 4!!!!! Never EVER thought I’d be buying jeans that size.32

Competed in my second strongman competition over the weekend and PR'd 2 of 3 events. It was a blast!30

I had to order some new scrubs today. I love scrubs because they don’t care if you gain a few pounds, but they also fit for a long time when you’re losing. My scrubs are all the same size, but some run larger and some run smaller. All the larger are long gone. The smaller now needs replacing.24

I saw my deltoids!17

Congratulations! Coincidentally, I've done the same thing!
My latest NSV is hitting 300,000 steps in a single month. This is far beyond what I had been doing.
I had my daily goal set to 2,000 steps a day. As I progressed, I got to where most days I'd exceed that, but some days I wouldn't hit the mark. I have a Garmin watch, and Garmin has these challenges in various activities. I've joined many of them. For October, I joined these 2 challenges, among others:
1. take 300,000 steps from October 1st through October 31st, and
2. take at least 10,000 steps/day for 30 days in a row.
(As you can see, since I started on October 1st, I could accomplish both goals on October 30th.)
So far, as of today October 26th, I've managed 10,000 steps a day for 26 days straight. Yesterday, I met the first challenge when I exceeded 300,000 steps for the month. I have 4 more days to meet the 2nd challenge of hitting 10,000 steps a day for 30 days.
I'm kind of amazed. There's no way I would have accomplished this without the motivation that these challenges provide.

Doing PT for sore hip and all the exercises have resulted in my jeans fitting better! Oh yeah....my knees & back are better too.21

@Deanner03
Scrubs are forgiving when your losing. I was rolling my waist band down about 3 widths. Got new ones 6-8 weeks ago (2 sizes smaller than previous ones) and they are starting to get baggy now too! Hoping they will do till I can get to 2 sizes smaller again!
Also, as I have seen others commenting here, today I was sitting on my son's sofa and I was crossing my legs, without even thinking, comfortably both ways, left over right and right over left! With my L leg broken in 2015 near my knee and all the metal inserted to repair it, I NEVER thought I would be able to do that ever again!27 -
My "fat" jeans that were to tight to comfortably wear this summer kept falling down.
Tried on a pair of skinny" jeans and I could zip them up after getting them over my thighs. I'm definitely losing weight and inches.23 -
I did a pull up!48

keep getting distracted at work, looking at my skinny fingers.31

My favorite coat is just hanging off my body right now. It'll work for this winter, but next winter I will either need to buy a smaller one or take this one to an alterist/tailor to get it fitted. Will also need to buy more work slacks because mine are getting a bit big.24

I work from home and usually just work in lounging pants and t shirts. Yesterday I decided to run to the store so I changed clothes, looked at myself in the mirror and realized that the bra I was wearing wasn't supporting anything as it is too big, it was just kind of hanging there (and so were my boobs, lol) fine for around the house but that's all. Changed that before going out. Granted it is probably the largest size I own but it used to fit. Other bras that I used to spill out of just a little, now fit so much better.29

My most recent NSV was being able to wrap my hair towel around me after shower (after realizing my bath towel has gone to the laundry basket and not been replaced )23

I started out with size 18 jeans. Yesterday I was wearing size 14 jeans (U.S.A. sizes, have been for a few weeks) and they were so baggy and I kept pulling on them because they felt like they were going to fall off. I told my son, who is amazed how well I'm losing, I probably should have tried the 12's on. Well I put them on today and they went on very easy. So I don't think I'll be in them long. Glad I only bought 1 pair.
Also a very pretty leather belt I bought in Bermuda years ago fits again! Last hole. But it FITS!
My closet is stocked from years ago with 0-8 and hopefully 10's waiting for me to get down enough to wear them again. (Classic styles that don't go out of style.) So I am down 3 sizes!27 -
Nice! I'm in a similar position (when it comes to pants sizes). As for belts... I need to buy a new leather belt for work. My current one can't do the job anymore. I do have a casual, fabric belt that's getting a lot of use right now, though.14

I noticed that my fingerprint reader on my phone would only work if I pushed harder to make my finger flatten and get wider! I re-scanned my finger and now it works instantly again. 8^)31

Day 1 of sitting in training from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. has screwed up my usual dog walks before work. Instead we walked 4+ miles in evenings yesterday and today, with same planned for tomorrow, weather permitting. Got this message after tonight's walk:

Mentioned before. I had this pic I meant to post. Snug? Maybe, but I didn’t pass out wearing them all day at work 🤣. Last time I wore that size was 🤔 30 years ago! I actually bought some 30x32s as well for more break. The pic ones are 1/4 break. An additional NSV is they don’t sell 30s at Costco so had to order them Costco.com. Typically was the other way with bigger clothes. 🤣

Three straight days of significant activity.25

Taking 30 seconds of my km time with no extra effort. Still recovering postpartum and getting a kick out of getting faster /stronger each time I workout.21

I looked down at the time on my elliptical today and realize I was over half-way through my normal time. I felt like I had just started. Might seem silly, but this is a huge improvement over the "OMG I'm dying, can I stop now?" of a couple of months ago.33

I have lost almost no scale weight (which is fine, I neither need nor want to at this juncture; I'm in maintenance).
But I've dropped a solid pants size since any real weight loss.
...Ok!36 -

I remember those days.
Yes. It’s a great feeling!9 -
Before summer, I couldn't get into my wetsuit, so I ordered a larger size. The new one was fine for summer but definitely thinner. Last week a friend invited me camping by a lake in her van and suggested swimming. I took a chance and only packed the old, warmer suit (it's late October!!) hoping I might squeeze into it. It fit easily, more easily than before I became a mum actually!21

Another pair of sweatpants pants falling off my keister. I had to roll the waist down in the middle of physical therapy because they were sipping enough to potentially trip me.
Fortunately they’re Seahawks pants, and the new owner is already lined up and happy to be gifted them.16 -
So - I have been a bit under the weather for the past few days, not feeling my best. Even so, today I was messing around with my office chair and randomly decided to try lifting myself up so my weight was supported only by the arm rests, kind of like you might on parallel bars. I was able to do so, even when my legs weren't touching anything so I was supporting myself only by my hands! I weigh about 150 right now so I was pretty happy about that.21

Went to Sea World today and tried to ride a roller coaster. I ended up riding all 3 coasters! First time in over 25 years that I fit.33

I shared this on my wall, and in another group. One of my MFP friends reminded me that it was an NSV.😊
Yesterday (Thursday), I almost forgot to get my pick-up order from the grocery store. I was already home, so I really wanted to change into sweats before heading out again. Anyway, I decided to keep my nice clothes on. My truck was still warm, so I didn't wear a jacket. It was snowing out, but not cold. I'm in the store and all of a sudden, I hear, "Lee?"
I turn around and see someone I knew, I knew but couldn't place... She said, "It's Sarah." I realized in that instant it was my Junior High School dance teacher. Yes, JH...😳 She just stared, then said "you haven't changed at all." "Are you still an athlete?" I could tell she was doing the math to guess my age... Anyway, I was gracious enough to say, "no, I workout a lot, and eat reasonably well."
In JH I took modern dance, was a sprinter, did the long jump, and high jump. I neglected to tell her that over the past year I've lost 50 lbs. and am continuing to get into better and better shape... She of course looked as tall and lithe as she ever had. I did tell her that. It absolutely made my day!! Trust me, I'm a few Klicks past JH!!😆🤣🤣33
