    Fitness Marshall LOL No wonder you get bursts of energy exercising to those for a few minutes. Do you ever have anyone at the restaurant join you in the moves during a break?

    I only do songs if there are no customers in the restaurant, which is usually somewhere between 11am and noon.
    Yes, it always lifts my spirits and unlocks any stiffness.

    I think that this is my 8th round.
    If I don't have 500 calories in the Green on the tracker (on average) I don't lose weight.

    Day 1: Fri, 10/22:- 134.0 - Using my EW from the last 100
    Day 2: Sat, 10/23 - 136.6 - Had a healthy day, I don't understand the big gain.

    Day 3: Sun, 10/24: 135.9 - very late dinner after a super long workday
    Day 4: Mon, 10/25: 135.4 - No split shift today just a regular day shift, so I will be home for dinner at a reasonable hour. I am going to have a burger on a Kaiser, so had better eat very light all day until then.
    Day 5: Tues, 10/26: 135.1 - Going back to split shifts today, trying to have smaller dinners when they are late
    Day 6: Wed, 10/27: 136.0 - Trying to stay positive. Absolutely no reason for this gain, not like there was at Thanksgiving.
    Day 7: Thurs, 10/28: 135.8 - Well, I ate an entire small takeout pizza last night, planning to have half only. I can't remember the last time that I had pizza (except for my own low cal Pita pizza). I gave into my frustrations that no matter what I seem to do I have been gaining weight, so basically said *kitten* it, I am having pizza.
    Day 8: Fri, 10/29: 136.6 - Pizza caught up with me as I knew that it would. Kind of worth it : - )

    Day 11: Mon: 11/1: 137.1 - Too high. I will work hard on this. Really glad that I have an active job.
    Day 12: Tues: 11/2: 136.4 - Long way to go to get back to that 130.6 and beyond, but going in the right direction.
    Day 13: Wed: 11/3: 135.6 - 2 nights of steak and prawns, but only half each night.
    Day 14: Thurs: 11/4: 135.3 - Really happy to see this coming down. Back to chicken breasts and veggies for dinners. Tonight I will be having dinner at a "normal" time, so hoping to see a nice drop on the scale tomorrow.
    Day 15: Fri: 11/5: 135.0 - Glad to see it coming down, but I am being too strict with myself which is not a recipe for the longterm.
    Day 16: Sat: 11/6: 136.5 - not happy about the number, especially since I was at 135.0 yesterday. Day off today with lots of activity and dinner at a reasonable time.

    wow...I've been going over my updates chart & I see that my posts are not all accurate!
    So, I am starting over (nearly from scratch here...had some trouble with a chart on my phone but it's fixed now)
    I have been back to walking outdoors since Wed. 10/13/21...1.2 miles, 44 mins., 125 calories ~ and I did this 3x, rode my new trike a couple of times now as well...my RunKeeper chart tells me that the day I logged a bike ride I worked off 300 calories! I'm not sure how accurate RK is with riding vs walking...but I guess I'll take every calorie output I can get at this point! LOL ...anyway...back to the challenge....

I'll find out for sure tomorrow when I weigh in again...see where it lands.

    Today I am raking with my adult daughter, adult (autistic son) and hiring a local kid to help pick the leaves up with the riding mower and trailer. I will also likely burn leaves all day once finished. (We are just doing the front yard this time.)

    This evening I will be making a low cal and low carb dinner I think. Perhaps zucchini boats with some cream cheese, carmelized onion and bacon inside. I want to make sure I use up the zucchini in my fridge before it goes bad. I still have some pumpkin cheesecake in the fridge so I will save room for a small slice tonight to watch during the Dexter episodes I am watching with my daughter on my Amazon Firestick hooked to my smart TV. Today the new Dexter drops (after a 15 year hiatius) so I am watching the original 8 seasons with my daughter because she had never seen them. I'm hoping to see 2 episodes tonight if my handyman doesn't stay past 8:00 PM. I will also be offering the two expected handymen today some more of that pumpkin cheesecake (like I did yesterday). I want to get rid of it because it's too good. I am going to ask my daughter to stop making them for awhile. I've got to get this glucose more under control! I'm still too weak to say no to anything, especially lately. It's just best not to have it around, no matter how unfair that seems to everyone else. It's my house, right? LOL

    Raking is great exercise!!

Walked 3.3 miles, Strength Training 1 hr (this class is wearing me out I’m useless after returning home for hours on end!), 2282 cal, 249 net carbs, 2 glasses wine. Our dog ate the steak and then Plan B: Pizza did me in on carbs & calories! GO ASTROS!
    Day 7: Thurs, 10/28: 207.8 Walked 3.1 miles, ? cal, ? net carbs, AF. Decided to take a little break and not track but choose wisely. That worked right up until the Dove dark chocolate raspberry sorbet bar at 10pm.

    Day 10: Sun: 10/31: 209.0 @ fishing camp 🎣 Walked 3.6 miles, fishing caught 21” Speckled Trout, 1653 cal, 124 net carbs, 3 drinks. Way too many chips (even counting them) with fried fresh fish tacos w/ avocado. Driving home today to spend the evening with our adult kids eating traditional chili and handing out full size (not fun size) M&Ms candy while we sit out on the driveway. Taking my mom with us for a long visit.
    Day 11: Mon: 11/1: 209.6 Long drive, .5 mile walk, bad food choices, ? cal, ? net carbs, AF. Time to turn things around and get focused on getting back under 205.
    Brought my mom back to visit for the baby shower at the end of the week as well as doctor’s visits she scheduled in Houston.
    Day 12: Tues: 11/2: 207.9 Walked 3.2 miles, gardening, 1692 cal, 70 net carbs, 3 glasses wine. Bought and planted flowers yesterday in front of my house! Snapdragons, Pansies, Kale, Alyssum, and a few extra for the large pot next to the door. Great exercise weeding digging planting ... not to mention lugging big bags of mulch.
    Day 13: Wed: 11/3: 207.7 Walked .6 miles, Strength Training 1 hr, 1848 cal, 171 net carbs, AF. Lots of shopping & mom’s doctors visits. But did cook chicken enchilada soup (added zucchini) in crock pot so we had a healthier dinner when we returned home!

    My mother self diagnosis and medicates usually. She has had neuropathy for 4 years but would not see someone about it. Took my mom to a doctor about her neuropathy in her feet & lower legs. Her doc has not done A1c lab work but this one thinks she might be pre-diabetic so she will get more lab work to check. He is switching her from over the internet TrueWell (150 mg alpha-lipoid acid) to EBM’s pharmaceutical grade EB-N6 (600 mg alpha-lipoid acid). Said she is not a candidate for his program to reverse with surgery. She is 85 (5’4” 175 lbs) and eats primarily carbs with few vegetables & protein. He recommended she start keto and then switch to Mediterranean diet. Read Sugar Crush and Fat for Fuel to better understand what she is doing to her body with all the carbs. We checked these books out from the library. She needs to walk, bike or swim at least 20 min 3x per week so I took her out for a short walk … she is active but doesn’t exercise. I also have her doing daily stretches and exercises for her sciatic nerve issue. It is hard to incorporate these changes in an 85 year old … but reinforces my path to healthier lifestyle and I need to get back focused on my own journey to lowering the number on the scale!
    Day 14: Thurs: 11/4: 207.5 Walked 3.8 miles, 1530 cal, 138 net carbs, 2 glasses wine. Baked pumpkin cookies and pear cake for the baby shower on Saturday at my house. Also cooked a very large pot of chicken sausage gumbo to prep for all the company coming in Friday evening. Kitchen sort of day which was good activity given all the rain in the afternoon/evening.
    Day 15: Fri: 11/5: 208.3 No exercise, did not journal food, 2 glasses wine at my sisters … relatives are in town for the shower already and she cooked dinner for us. I was dressed for strength training class when my DIL called crying ~8am. My son is out of town and she is pregnant due late Dec. She was at the school where she teaches. Spotting/bleeding. Drove the 50 miles across Houston picked her up then drove back into town to the med center to see her doctor. All is fine with mom & baby no sign of preterm early labor. Small infection that can cause early contractions so antibiotics and she is good. Lunch out to feed her and then took her home to rest until my son arrived back home from AZ. Then back to my home to care for my mom who I had promised a mani pedi.
    Day 16: Sat: 11/6: 207.2 No exercise yet again. Did not journal but ate at home no restaurants! Long visit at the doctor’s office with mom, errand running for the baby shower, my son & his wife arrived from Austin, decorating the house … never seen so many balloons & star garland LOL, gumbo and late night talking with our adult kids over bottles of wine. 3 glasses wine.

    It’s going to take me forever to get back < 205 and to this year’s goal of <200 if I don’t start paying more attention to what I put in my mouth and get back into my exercise routine.

    Day 18: Mon: 11/8: 207.9 Walked 3.3 miles, ? cal, ? net carbs, 2 glasses wine. Wonderful jazz music brunch at Brennan’s with our adult children (they threw in their credit cards and would not let us pay), 60th birthday celebration for DH since we had the kids all together. Walked through our daughter’s new home built in 1948 … definitely a fixer upper in an up and coming area of town. She told her siblings she was pregnant at brunch. So much celebration this weekend. Taking my mom to the airport today and pulling the plug on gluttony for the rest of the week!

    wow...I've been going over my updates chart & I see that my posts are not all accurate!
    So, I am starting over (nearly from scratch here...had some trouble with a chart on my phone but it's fixed now)
    I have been back to walking outdoors since Wed. 10/13/21...1.2 miles, 44 mins., 125 calories ~ and I did this 3x, rode my new trike a couple of times now as well...my RunKeeper chart tells me that the day I logged a bike ride I worked off 300 calories! I'm not sure how accurate RK is with riding vs walking...but I guess I'll take every calorie output I can get at this point! LOL ...anyway...back to the challenge....

    Day 2: Sat, 10/23 - 136.6 - Had a healthy day, I don't understand the big gain.

    Day 3: Sun, 10/24: 135.9 - very late dinner after a super long workday
    Day 4: Mon, 10/25: 135.4 - No split shift today just a regular day shift, so I will be home for dinner at a reasonable hour. I am going to have a burger on a Kaiser, so had better eat very light all day until then.
    Day 5: Tues, 10/26: 135.1 - Going back to split shifts today, trying to have smaller dinners when they are late
    Day 6: Wed, 10/27: 136.0 - Trying to stay positive. Absolutely no reason for this gain, not like there was at Thanksgiving.
    Day 7: Thurs, 10/28: 135.8 - Well, I ate an entire small takeout pizza last night, planning to have half only. I can't remember the last time that I had pizza (except for my own low cal Pita pizza). I gave into my frustrations that no matter what I seem to do I have been gaining weight, so basically said *kitten* it, I am having pizza.

May daughter who moved back in is celebrating her 27th birthday today. There will be a special dinner, cake, ice cream and lots of fun and love. I will try to watch portion control but the menu will put me over the top of my goals. Tomorrow back on 100% track. Lots of snow last night. Everything covered in lasting white here. It’s very pretty but not very useful. I will have to get creative on movement again today.

Taking my mom with us for a long visit.

    Brought my mom back to visit for the baby shower at the end of the week as well as doctor’s visits she scheduled in Houston.

Snapdragons, Pansies, Kale, Alyssum, and a few extra for the large pot next to the door. Great exercise weeding digging planting ... not to mention lugging big bags of mulch.
    Day 13: Wed: 11/3: 207.7 Walked .6 miles, Strength Training 1 hr, 1848 cal, 171 net carbs, AF. Lots of shopping & mom’s doctors visits. But did cook chicken enchilada soup (added zucchini) in crock pot so we had a healthier dinner when we returned home!

    My mother self diagnosis and medicates usually. She has had neuropathy for 4 years but would not see someone about it. Took my mom to a doctor about her neuropathy in her feet & lower legs. Her doc has not done A1c lab work but this one thinks she might be pre-diabetic so she will get more lab work to check. He is switching her from over the internet TrueWell (150 mg alpha-lipoid acid) to EBM’s pharmaceutical grade EB-N6 (600 mg alpha-lipoid acid). Said she is not a candidate for his program to reverse with surgery. She is 85 (5’4” 175 lbs) and eats primarily carbs with few vegetables & protein. He recommended she start keto and then switch to Mediterranean diet. Read Sugar Crush and Fat for Fuel to better understand what she is doing to her body with all the carbs. We checked these books out from the library. She needs to walk, bike or swim at least 20 min 3x per week so I took her out for a short walk … she is active but doesn’t exercise. I also have her doing daily stretches and exercises for her sciatic nerve issue. It is hard to incorporate these changes in an 85 year old … but reinforces my path to healthier lifestyle and I need to get back focused on my own journey to lowering the number on the scale!
    Day 14: Thurs: 11/4: 207.5 Walked 3.8 miles, 1530 cal, 138 net carbs, 2 glasses wine. Baked pumpkin cookies and pear cake for the baby shower on Saturday at my house. Also cooked a very large pot of chicken sausage gumbo to prep for all the company coming in Friday evening. Kitchen sort of day which was good activity given all the rain in the afternoon/evening.
    Day 15: Fri: 11/5: 208.3 No exercise, did not journal food, 2 glasses wine at my sisters … relatives are in town for the shower already and she cooked dinner for us. I was dressed for strength training class when my DIL called crying ~8am. My son is out of town and she is pregnant due late Dec. She was at the school where she teaches. Spotting/bleeding. Drove the 50 miles across Houston picked her up then drove back into town to the med center to see her doctor. All is fine with mom & baby no sign of preterm early labor. Small infection that can cause early contractions so antibiotics and she is good. Lunch out to feed her and then took her home to rest until my son arrived back home from AZ. Then back to my home to care for my mom who I had promised a mani pedi.
    Day 16: Sat: 11/6: 207.2 No exercise yet again. Did not journal but ate at home no restaurants! Long visit at the doctor’s office with mom, errand running for the baby shower, my son & his wife arrived from Austin, decorating the house … never seen so many balloons & star garland LOL, gumbo and late night talking with our adult kids over bottles of wine. 3 glasses wine.

    It’s going to take me forever to get back < 205 and to this year’s goal of <200 if I don’t start paying more attention to what I put in my mouth and get back into my exercise routine.

    Yesterday my puppy gave me quite the workout while doing my steps inside...she wanted to play tug-o-war with one of her toys so it ended up being a great resistance training workout lol

    I think that this is my 8th round.
    If I don't have 500 calories in the Green on the tracker (on average) I don't lose weight.

    Day 1: Fri, 10/22:- 134.0 - Using my EW from the last 100
    Day 2: Sat, 10/23 - 136.6 - Had a healthy day, I don't understand the big gain.

    Day 3: Sun, 10/24: 135.9 - very late dinner after a super long workday
    Day 4: Mon, 10/25: 135.4 - No split shift today just a regular day shift, so I will be home for dinner at a reasonable hour. I am going to have a burger on a Kaiser, so had better eat very light all day until then.
    Day 5: Tues, 10/26: 135.1 - Going back to split shifts today, trying to have smaller dinners when they are late
    Day 6: Wed, 10/27: 136.0 - Trying to stay positive. Absolutely no reason for this gain, not like there was at Thanksgiving.
    Day 7: Thurs, 10/28: 135.8 - Well, I ate an entire small takeout pizza last night, planning to have half only. I can't remember the last time that I had pizza (except for my own low cal Pita pizza). I gave into my frustrations that no matter what I seem to do I have been gaining weight, so basically said *kitten* it, I am having pizza.

    Day 14: Thurs: 11/4: 135.3 - Really happy to see this coming down. Back to chicken breasts and veggies for dinners. Tonight I will be having dinner at a "normal" time, so hoping to see a nice drop on the scale tomorrow.
    Day 15: Fri: 11/5: 135.0 - Glad to see it coming down, but I am being too strict with myself which is not a recipe for the longterm.

    Day 13…..11/03…..189.0…..(Trend weight 187.9) Good News Folks. No sign of cancer in my breast skin tissue! Pathology reported today. Today is a double day of celebration. May daughter who moved back in is celebrating her 27th birthday today. There will be a special dinner, cake, ice cream and lots of fun and love. I will try to watch portion control but the menu will put me over the top of my goals. Tomorrow back on 100% track. Lots of snow last night. Everything covered in lasting white here. It’s very pretty but not very useful. I will have to get creative on movement again today.
    Day 14…..11/04…..189.6…..(Trend weight 188.1)The celebrations are over. It’s time to get serious now. Today I take my DGS’s to their hair appointments and dinner afterward. I will not be ordering. Today will be a good day. I have no choice. Look how close I am to the 190’s again!

I also had a bit fewer steps yesterday and not as much water as usual. Today I rake with a small crew of help. This should get in more steps and calorie burn. Just what the doctor ordered! Speaking of doctor…..I hope this will not cause problems with my stitches healing. I will try not to get over-zealous!

I know what good habits are. I know what low calorie is and what low carb can do to help me. I recognize the right foods. It’s time to stop glancing at it all and start staring at what I need to do. It has been out of control since just before my surgery.
