Help with logging in workouts

I need your help. I want to log in my current workout, but it’s more of a hybridized strength and cardio workout called Soldierfit. How do I log in such workouts?

    It's hard to tell exactly what it is from the web site, but consider logging it as one of the calisthenics or circuit training options, if it's potentially like one of those. If it's mostly bodyweight, maybe calisthenics, if more like fast-paced high rep relatively low weight things with weights, consider circuit training.

    It might be circuit training now that I think about it. Because we do hybrid strength and cardio training. For instance, on one day we did stations one station we do battle ropes, next we do plyometric boxes, next kettlebell squats, and then push ups. But the workouts vary.

    It's probably close enough. I'm fairly enthusiastic about logging accurately, but a workout like that is harder to estimate . . . and it's the kind of thing that most fitness trackers/heart rate monitors aren't likely to be super-accurate at estimating either, as there are various sources of heart rate variability in there, beyond just work effort.

    Maybe try estimating it that way for a few weeks, see how your results work out (noting that the exercise isn't the only thing that causes variability in results, either! 😉).

    I entered (Android app) a couple of "Create an Exercise" workouts in the Cardio section, based on the info from other sources. Those include resistance training routines. Seems if you paid for this program the providers could well be able to provide the energy burn estimates for its various elements or routines. The DIY Workouts go into My Exercises and are available for Diary entry.

    They aren't going to know how many calories it burns either - doubtful they'd pay the big bucks for a study of many participants using a metabolic chamber individually to see what they burn, and then math out some figures.

    No - they'd be doing exactly like Ann suggested - looking up existing studies (which the database entries are based on), and estimate time on the different types of workouts, making a hybrid result.
    They could spend a lot of time trying to be accurate doing that, or my guess very little - look at 2 entries and estimate an average.
    Even better when that's done - they'll use just 1 weight for the math and throw that calorie burn out, sometimes without mentioning the weight used.
