The Ultimate Accountability Challenge (UAC) provides both weight losers and maintainers with incredible accountability partners AND an emphasis on life-changing basic healthy habits.
This is not the flash-in-the-pan 'biggest anything" short-term challenge. This is the real deal!! We are a non-commercial volunteer group with a proven track record of significant team member success.
We enthusiastically welcome our returning veterans and newcomers too!
The accountability part is a daily report of:
1) 20 minutes (minimum) of daily exercise;
2) Tracking everything that you eat and drink;
3) Consuming no more than your chosen limit of daily calories
4) Reporting of your fulfillment of the above in the group daily..... or at a minimum every couple of days.
A non-fulfillment of any of the above equals a Pass Day. There are 3 Pass Days allowed per month. It seems simple enough - but it is not easy!
Those who end the month with less than 4 Pass days are celebrated in the monthly Winner's Circle Qualification!! And those who stick with it even after they've used up their Pass Days - are celebrated as Champions!!

I first started working on my health 15 years ago when I had crazy high cholesterol numbers and pre-diabetes. In that time there has been great successes as well as setbacks. I've lost and regained weight a few times in those 15 years. I've been in my best health and my worst. But I have made lots of progress which has resulted in me being where I am today, the healthiest yet in that 15 years, in the lowest weight ranges of my adult life (although still technically overweight by 40-50 pounds), with perfectly healthy cholesterol and A1C blood labs for the first year ever since starting 15 years ago. It's been a long fight and I have learned quite a few things. But the most important things are the habits I have learned over those years to keep my health on track when I maintain those habits, I am most successful on this journey. What are those habits?
1. Exercise - Yes, I have lost weight through diet alone, but simply weighing less has never made me healthy. My quality of life is exponentially better the more healthy I am than when unhealthy. I suspect I'm not alone in that regard.
2. Keeping calories in range - Whether it's losing weight, maintaining, or even for gaining muscle mass, you will have a target calorie range you wish to maintain daily. It's really that simple. I'm only successful with my weight management when I do this.
3. Tracking - I have the most success when tracking. It ensures I am hitting my calorie target, and also helps me analyze my food choices. Over the years I've learned what foods and macro targets work best for me.
I only discovered this challenge back in May this year, but I am so happy that I found it! I wish I had it all those years ago! While I had already learned what works for me, and was tracking everything on my own, having a monthly challenge format filled with a variety of people around the world all with their own wonderful insights and approaches has really expanded my knowledge, and most importantly helped me fully realize that all of the starts, stops and trying something new over these 15 years were really all one journey that could have all been started here, and would have been a lot faster and easier if it had all started here.7 -
The UAC group has been the driving force behind me losing 24kgs. I have been a part of this group for 11 months now and it has helped me so much! I hve been at my goal weight for 3 months now but continue to stay in this group as this place provides a place for me to be accountable. Now enough about me let's talk about u giving UAC a shot. Trust me when I say you will not regret it, these people are kind, encouraging and supportive and you will work towards your individual goals whatever they may be!! It will not be easy because as simple as the 3 rules may sound its actually pretty challenging.. I have no doubt you can do it though because if i can do it any one can!! I hope to see you in December and if not i wish you all the best on your health journey!7

The UAC is a unique challenge there are many individuals who strive to be a healthier person and this is a great spot for support and encouragement sometimes it causes one to do some serious thinking. I have been with this challenge over 2 years and it has been a driving force in my lifestyle change of almost 50 lbs. Don’t sell yourself short join us for a month and see for yourself. It’s not as easy as it looks but if you are determined you will be a winner in the long run.6

I will keep it short and sweet. Best challenge ever. Try it.6

My first time doing the challenge was November. I am definitely joining again and participating in the conversations.8

I agree with everyone. It's the best challenge ever! I wish I saw and joined a challenge like this earlier in my health journey.
It is a challenge that fit all- maintain, lose or gain!5 -
To me, accountability is the acknowledgment of personal responsibility to:
- report your actions and inaction; and,
- accept resulting consequences.
Even those among us who reach a high level of knowledge and experience still need someone or something to be accountable to for our workouts and nutrition. This has been repeatedly proven by so many successful programs.
The Ultimate Accountability Challenge (UAC) is that for me. I joined for the first time in August 2021. I credit my ability to be consistent, persistent, successful, motivated, active, and engaged in best choices to my involvement with this group. Each month a new UAC is established. Every member in the group has recommitted to be accountable and support others.

What gets measured, gets changed.
The true value of this program, which reboots at the beginning of each month, is that it fosters self-awareness in a supportive, encouraging, ready-to-offer-alternatives-or-a-hug environment.
The three daily goals can't always be met every day. Life Happens. But even if you get to a fourth "Life Happened" day before the end of the month, you are ALWAYS encouraged to Just Keep On Reporting. That makes for self-awareness of what nuances will or won't work for YOU as you discover what works best for your own preferred details of a sustainable healthy-living lifestyle.
The brain is basically lazy, and will default to the most RECENTLY often-used neural pathway. By continuing to do what you can manage every day, and owning it, you strengthen positive default settings.
Habits are habits. Let us help each other reinforce positive ones.
December will be my second month back after 7.5 month MIA from both UAC and MFP in general. I promised myself that I would ONLY expect myself to faithfully log, with NO JUDGEMENTS - until I had some data about what I was tending to eat when, and make refinements from there.
I was very (PLEASANTLY) surprised that the very act of "just logging and reporting each day" immediately rebooted the other subroutines. Here I am almost likely to keep to the 3-or-less pass days limit after all. (Being from Canada, I didn't have to face a November Thanksgiving ... I expect December to be a bit more challenging)
But if Life HAD Happened - maybe because I had a bad cold to recover from, or relatives had finally been able to visit, or it had taken longer to reset my snack-choices .... and I had been at 4+ passes before the end of the second week ... continuing to just plain Show Up, asking for and providing support within this wonderful extended virtual community, I would still have been reinforcing the positive habits of self-awareness (not only which of the the three I didn't manage to meet that day, but why - and which one the most often ... ) and in "pre-season training" for the NEXT month's try for 3-or-less Pass Days.
I hope we get a chance to learn from you, and you get a sense of support from us.

Daily check-ins are so critical to success. If you are looking for something to help you on your journey, this will do just that. Lots of friendly folks, a wide variety of perspectives, and good old fashioned accountability!! You won't regret it.
I recently hit the 100 pounds lost mark and credit being part of the community as one of the reasons why.6 -

This is not a “lose 10 lbs by Christmas” challenge or a “lose 5kg in 8 weeks” challenge.
In fact, it is not a weight loss challenge at all. It is all about your overall health and fitness. It promotes good habits, is encouraging and supportive.
I joined my first UAC in January 2020 after losing 22kg and successfully maintaining for some months. But, as many of us know, losing weight is only the first step – it can be more difficult to keep it off once the motivation of seeing the scales move down is no longer there. So many of us lose weight only to see it creep back again. This is where continuing to log and watching your other nutritional and fitness goals can make a big difference.
Join us wherever you are on your health and fitness journey and see for yourself!

I've been with UAC for several years. It is an ongoing accountability challenge, and a great motivational space, where you get valuable support from the kind, caring members.
UAC has helped me finally reach my UGW (just before Covid hit the world for six) and stay there for the duration. Posting everyday helps build solid habits which will help you on your quest for better Health and Fitness.3 -
I just joined your group :20 ago and now I see your post. Must be a sign of great things to come.
I can’t wait to get to know you all.5 -

I’m in for December and going to try at least. Not in best place but need a push5

I first saw and joined UAC for September, and it has been so helpful to me. The people in the group are so friendly and wise. I didn't think I had much more to learn about weight loss, since I've been working on this for a while. But I have learned so much from others' stories, the answers when I ask questions, and the encouragement I get when I stumble. I highly recommend the group, and I will be back for a 4th month in December!2

This is such a wonderful group. Very accepting and helps you to focus on something very simply.2

I'm in for December as well! November was my first month, and I found it an incredibly welcoming group with a lot of good insights every day. The challenge is to build or maintain good habits of exercising daily, eating within your calorie goals and tracking those calories - all 3 things that I need to do continue my path to healthiness. More importantly, the group encourages self-love so that you don't beat yourself up if something happens and you can't meet your goals on a particular day (or two, or three).
I encourage folks to check it out and give it a try!3 -
Hi there!
You: want to lose weight or maintain.
UAC: a wonderfully positive & supportive group that provides a structure for YOU to craft YOUR path to success.
Since April 2018, I’ve been a continuous member of the UAC. I lost my final 25 lbs of 75 and have maintained for 3 years 3 months. UAC is a primary reason for my continued success.
I’ve seen 100’s of folks join & gain confidence, learn tips, & identify methods to lose weight and/or navigate the challenges of maintenance successfully. All you need to do is keep posting!
I know it’s tough to decide whether to try a new group or even to join a group when you I have on idea how to.
We are all here to welcome you & assist if you need help joining, etc.
If you scroll up 5-6 posts, you will see a link in blue. Just click that to discover what I like to call my life preserver or safety net.
What we all are working to achieve is not easy, but UAC does make it easier!!
Join us! Your Future Self will thank you❣️
