We are all here for you, Donna, in your time of grief and sadness. We love you. ❤️
I wish I could send you a big pot of homemade chicken noodle soup so you wouldn’t have to even think of food for a little while.
@jm216 Okay, now you went and made me cry, but in a good way. And I needed the release. The accompanying smile was something I needed. My brother had a lot of wrapped chicken in his freezer and he was a wonderful cook. Back when we lived in a bigger city he volunteered at the local "soup kitchen" and made the most wonderful soups. I think I will thaw some of that out and make that chicken noodle soup afterall!6 -

12/09.…..190.4…..(Trend Weight 189.7)….. Same weight for 3 days in a row but my trend weight is creeping up 0.1 each and every day. I still haven’t made the changes I need to. I am not eating my meals proper, then I’m snacking too much at night turning snacks into meals. Cravings are all over the place. Back and forth from salt to sweet. Glucose numbers still up, even with new meds. I am not even giving them a chance to work. Self-sabotage is putting it mildly. I promise myself everyday that it will change today, and then I begin the tasks for my brother’s death and I either lean on food for comfort, or I get to busy to plan for success. I suppose the first part of success and change is recognition, so here I am standing at the confessional podium. Better planning is next and success (while currently elusive) is mine to take.

Hello Everyone!
I'm Mary 64, 5'4" from Pennsylvania. My goal is to get back down AGAIN to 122 lbs. Kept it off for about 5 years and then got lazy. My body just stores Carbs to easily. I work long hours and exercise on my 3 off days/week, making up for my 4 work days. I started this challenge in November and will continue through December and January. Great group of motivating members! Thank you Jill! My goal is 5 lbs for December. My other goal is 15 lbs for Nov, Dec and Jan. JOIN US!
🌲December Challenge🌲
Highest weight: 255 lbs (twice) :-(
Current weight:176.2 lbs
November goal-5 lbs
November loss-5.6 lbs
December goal-5 lbs
December weight lost so far: -5.0 lbs :-)
Nov/Dec/Jan weight loss so far (Goal-15 lbs): -10.6 lbs :-)
Loss since 9/14/20-83.8 lbs :-)
December 1-176.2 lbs. Pre logged yesterday for today and Pre logged tomorrow. Stayed within my calories, carbs and water minimum.
December 2-176.2 lbs Pre logged for tomorrow.
December 3-175 lbs
December 4-173.8 lbs! I'm No Longer Obese by BMI charts! I'm overweight now! Even as a RN I don't dwell on BMI. I have always weighed more than what people think. My boys are all the same way. Solid. My one son in the military when he was about 4-6% body fat was Obese on a BMI chart. So...
I'm wearing size 10 jeans but put on a pair of 8's today and easily zipped them up, but not wearing them because my flabby belly hangs out over bad. Did my Elliptical for 222 minutes for 16.3 miles today.
December 5-171.8 lbs. Did 224 minutes on my Elliptical for 14.25 miles. I was obviously moving at a slower pace since I didn't get to my usual 15-16 mile range. Thrilled by the swoosh of weight though today!
December 6-172.8 lbs-Stayed on track so hopefully just my usual uptick before a drop! Worked today, off tomorrow so will be on my elliptical again.
December 7-171.2 lbs Was on my Elliptical for 250 minutes/18 miles. Had a Nursing conference dinner at a restaurant and figured I would make sure I had more than enough for a calorie deficit. Pre logged today for tomorrow. Had 150 oz of water today.
December 8-171.2 lbs Thought I would have a drop today but maybe tomorrow.
December 9-171.2 lbs. :-( Didn't drop yet. 220 minutes on my Elliptical today for 14 miles.

Getting ready to visit family on Sunday! I’ll be going out to eat a fair amount next week so I’ll focus on mindful eating. I’m not sure if I’ll be weighing myself then so I may not get back on track again until next Sunday. Met my workout goal, but not the food goal. Planning to work off whatever I gain!

My name is Donna. I am 5’ 5” tall, 61 years old and from the Midwest USA. In 2016 I weighed 253 lbs. I am on a journey of health and to get back to the real me.
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

12/02.…..188.2…..(Trend Weight 189.4)
12/03.…..189.8…..(Trend Weight 189.5}….. I don’t understand the huge increase overnight. It actually should have been lower. Trusting the process….
12/04.…..188.8…..(Trend Weight 189.4)
12/05.…..189.4…..(Trend Weight 189.4)….. Pizza last night for all the visiting family. Not surprised by this. My brother was cremated yesterday morning. We await his ashes.
12/06.…..189.6…..(Trend Weight 189.4)….. Little Debbie’s that I no longer even find special. Frosting like Crisco after dieting and staying away from processed baked goods (for the most part). I guess I am just trying to find comfort where there is none yet. I’m donating the junk today to my handymen. It came from my brother’s house.
12/07.…..190.4…..(Trend Weight 189.5)….. I am a little surprised by this. I didn’t overeat yesterday and I was so active in going through and laundering my brother’s things literally all day and much of the night. I also started the decorating process. Maybe one of my 4 new meds. Maybe stress raising my sugar causing fat storage. Maybe just loaded down with continued grief. I’m going to log today to see if I am missing any parts of this picture. I’m fuzzy headed right now and that is always possible.
12/08.…..190.4…..(Trend Weight 189.6)….. I’m a hot mess. Now I’ve ran my glucose up and I am feeling like sheer crap on top of it all. I’m making changes today to get to a better place. More paperwork and business for my brother is due today. I don’t even feel like I can raise a pencil to paper! It’s the food choices.
12/10.…..189.8…..(Trend Weight 189.4)….. I went up to the store yesterday and bought some sugar-free Russell Stovers individually wrapped candy. When the sweet cravings hit me in bed, I had 3 pcs. Tonight I will move it to 2 pieces. Cutting out the night time sugar binge seems to have helped the scale. I’m still too much of a mess since the death to really focus as I should, but any change will help at this point. Today I will choose a better breakfast also.
