Now that I walk 5 miles a day in the morning, I have gotten to meet so many other neighbors. My life is really small as I am a housewife with no kids and I can't drive due to seizures. So now that I walk, I meet all kinds of people every single day!! Kids walking to school, sometimes with their parents, sometimes with siblings, neighbors out walking their dogs. Neighbors just taking advantage of local trails to keep their fitness up. And the birds!! I see the most interesting migratory birds every single day! The dawns are just gorgeous. Honestly, that morning walk is really an anchor of blessings. I am so grateful for it!29

My blessing today is being able to enjoy walking in my hilly neighborhood. I've started walking every night when my neighbors have their Christmas lights on, and it's been so pleasant. Walking the hills used to wear me out. Now I just head out the door and enjoy being outside whenever I want to--just for fun! It's not even a workout anymore, just a bit of quiet time to enjoy life.14

My blessing is that even though I am losing weight, I can enjoy really delicious foods. Specifically, just now, I ate a Chobani Key Lime Greek Yogurt (blended) for 140 calories. It tastes like a dessert!11

This is such a beautiful, uplifting thread! It makes me smile and my heart warm reading through it. There are SO many blessings to being fit and healthy and one of my favorites is that my 10 year old son thinks of me as strong and loves my muscles. He wants to have muscles like me.11

Add a squirt of canned whipped cream (15 cal). Next level!5 -
Tonight I got down on the kitchen floor and scrubbed the whole thing clean. A year and +37lbs ago, it wouldn't even have occurred to me to do that because it was too hard to get up. So my blessing for today is the fresh energy and extra agility I have now that I once thought I'd never have again. I'm incredibly grateful for that every day.15

I feel younger at 53 than I have in a VERY LONG TIME too!9 -
That I woke up this morning after 8 hours of solid sleep - no pain while I slept, no pain when I woke up, no reflux in the night. I'd long ago accepted those as 'normal'. They were there for nearly twenty years.
They're not there anymore and it's amazing.18 -
I got my booster shot yesterday and while I'm a bit sore this morning, I'm a way healthier person than I used to be so I had no concerns about dealing with any side effects. Stronger, healthier, happier and now even more protected.12

My blessing is to be able to do what I love which I found out is biking. When I was in the 270s back in July it was so difficult, now I am in the 230s and I can ride 50km easy! (still feels weird to say 230s since I havent been in them since high school)13

@JustRamona ...such a WONDERFUL feeling!!
@wunderkindking ....it's amazing the things we used to think were normal, isn't it? Solid sleep with no pain--that's gotta be a MAJOR gamechanger in your life.
@gatzb ...how cool that you have found something you love to do so much!1 -
Standing up. I just bounce out of my chair, without thinking about it. I still have 75-100 pounds to lose, but some benefits are already here!16

I love the wholesome tiredness I feel after working out. It's so different from the blah tiredness I used to live in all the time.18

@springlering62 Thank you, I just tried the key lime yogurt with whipped cream! You're right--it is over the top! And even though I know everyone's tastebuds are different, I feel a little sorry for the person who disagreed with me. I used to make a graham cracker crust pie topped with that goopy canned cherry pie filling. In between the two was a sweetened condensed milk, cream cheese, vanilla, and lemon juice mixture. I think that this yogurt flavor tastes like the lime version of those wonderfully yummy pie guts. That is one of my very favorite pies; it would always be my choice for my birthday 'cake' every year. We also made it for Christmas when I was a child. I believe that the recipe was either on the label of the sweetened condensed milk or on the cardboard protective wrapping around the cream cheese.5

my preferred theory is that people sometimes hit "disagree" by accident while scrolling, and don't see they did so.
I'm going to have to try the whipped cream thing. I also love that yogurt, and it IS a great treat.
