• You did not gain the weight quickly. You will not lose it quickly. Better to lose it slowly, and KEEP IT OFF, then lose it quick, and gain it all back and more!

Yup, that about sums it up!

I'd add:
- make this as easy on yourself as possible: you don't get bonus points for suffering by eating too little, depriving yourself of foods you like and making yourself do exercise you don't enjoy.
- read these forums, lots of useful info here and lots of people willing to answer your questions if you're unsure of anything
