Wahoo!!! I'm down 6 pounds for the month!!! I'm halfway there. I didn't meet the goal of 3500 calories for the week but considering I spent half the week in the hospital I'm thrilled I lost weight.
This week I'll continue with the water. My plan has not changed. I will continue to plan my meals and grocery shop. For me preparation is key.
I am so proud of everyone on here. I read story after story, success after success this is awesome!!!0 -
I lost 2 pounds this week which is much better than the last week ( less than 1/2 pound).
I was visiting with my son this week and went shopping for a new pair of jeans. I was very unhappy with the way my rear looks in jeans now. I knew that I needed to start toning after my weight loss but it really showed in all of the jeans that I tried. It seems that the stores only sell skinny jeans now and my rear looked awful. It was quite an awakening for me.
1. I will drink at least the recommened 64 ounces/day of water
2. I am going to join a exercise class with a friend and burn more calories
I purchased a kettlebell 5# with workout dvd so I am going to give that a try between class days. Not sure how many calories that will burn. Does anyone know how to log it?
Everyone is doing so well. Congrats to all!0 -
Hi All!
Here are my challenge stats for this week:
1) 488oz of Water - exceeded that challenge
2) 2,254 Calories Burned - unable to meet but I did try a new workout - Jillian Michael's 30 day burn.
3) Favorite Recipe - See below
I’m a creature of habit when it comes to food. I can eat the same thing for weeks. One of my favorite recipes is super simple and bursting with flavor. I call this recipe Spanish Wraps.
1 package of Lean ground turkey
1 package of Taco Seasoning
1 jar of Green Spanish Olives
1 head of Lettuce (your choice)
Cook the ground turkey until almost brown. In a bowl, mix taco seasoning with the juices from the jar of green olives, for a less robust taste, add some water. Pour the mixture over the meat and mix well. Cook covered for 10mins. Next, add the green olives; cook covered for another 5 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
Pour meat on a leaf of lettuce, wrap and eat. I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do!0 -
So happy you brough up the subject to PLAN your week and stick with it. My coworker and I actually wrote out a workout plan for us last week and it started this Sunday. Our workout plan is Sun-Thurs here it go.

Happy Friday everyone! I am down one more pound this week although I burned a great deal of calories. Water is a problem for me. Still not exceeding 3 to 4 cups. So my goal for next week is to burn the 3500 cal but also drink 8 cups of water every day. I have all intentions of doing so but don't do it. So anyway down one lb. now 184. Have a fabulous weekend everyone.0

Well I'm stuck on a plateau right now . . . No loss for this week
Week ending 09/16/11: 237 pounds.0 -
I have the same plan as last week (and the last 6 weeks) with the added bonus of a Les Mills launch day:
Saturday - 9.30 Body Combat, 10.45 Body Pump, 12.00 Body Attack
Sunday - 9.30 Spin, 10.15 Spin
Monday - 5.30 Body Step, 6.30 Zumba
Tuesday - 6.30 Zumba
Wednesday - 5.45 Spin, 6.30 Body Combat
Thursday - 5.30 Body Pump, 6.30 Body Attack
Friday - 5.30 Body Step, 6.30 Body Combat
It's difficult to plan my meals as I eat around work/the gym but I'll try and post later.0 -
I lost 1.6lbs since my last weigh in I am very happy with that considering that since the last weigh in my family went to the Los Angeles Fair and ate a ton of food, had a birthday party for my husbands Grandpa and my husband and I went out for our Anniversary...all you can eat sushi and then movie snacks lol.
I FAILED on water. I am so bad at drinking water
I did burn 3577 calories with exercise since the last weigh-in
AND I tried 3 new things this week Boot Camp Conditioning, Cardio Kickboxing and Body Pump (which is a free-weight class)
Hopefully I can see a bigger loss this week since we wont have any food filled celebrations.
Keep up the good work everyone!0 -

FYI...if this thread hits 500 posts (which it probably will very soon) this one will get locked. I don't know if it will automatically create part 2 or not, but if not, then I'll do it when I get back home tonight, so don't worry...there will still be a September challenge thread.0

And in case you missed it:
MINI CHALLENGE FOR NEXT WEEK:
1. Don't give up on the water!
2. Make a plan and follow it!
Let me explain...a lot of people have a really hard time sticking to any sort of "diet" or workout regimen because they have no plan. They just half-@$$ throw something together and actually do it only about half of the time and don't see results like they want to (hmm...wonder why...). If you already do this or don't want to do this or whatever, then stick with the 3,500 calories burned. If you want an extra push and some accountability, then by Sunday evening I want to see the following - a menu for Monday-Thursday AND a workout schedule for Monday-Thursday...as in...I literally want to know what time you're working out what day and what you're doing for that workout - as well as what you're having for each meal each of those days. THEN...I want you to EXECUTE YOUR PLAN on Monday-Thursday. You may not be much of a planner, but just TRY it...it's only 4 days! I understand that life happens and you may not stick to your menu 100%, but I fully expect your workout schedule to be followed. You have to make time for yourself and properly managing your time/resources (food) is an easy way to take control of your healthy lifestyle, no matter what stage of it you're in.0
