I feel younger at 53 than I have in a VERY LONG TIME too!9 -
That I woke up this morning after 8 hours of solid sleep - no pain while I slept, no pain when I woke up, no reflux in the night. I'd long ago accepted those as 'normal'. They were there for nearly twenty years.
They're not there anymore and it's amazing.18 -
I got my booster shot yesterday and while I'm a bit sore this morning, I'm a way healthier person than I used to be so I had no concerns about dealing with any side effects. Stronger, healthier, happier and now even more protected.12

My blessing is to be able to do what I love which I found out is biking. When I was in the 270s back in July it was so difficult, now I am in the 230s and I can ride 50km easy! (still feels weird to say 230s since I havent been in them since high school)13

@JustRamona ...such a WONDERFUL feeling!!
@wunderkindking ....it's amazing the things we used to think were normal, isn't it? Solid sleep with no pain--that's gotta be a MAJOR gamechanger in your life.
@gatzb ...how cool that you have found something you love to do so much!1 -
Standing up. I just bounce out of my chair, without thinking about it. I still have 75-100 pounds to lose, but some benefits are already here!16

I love the wholesome tiredness I feel after working out. It's so different from the blah tiredness I used to live in all the time.18

Well said!!!!!!!4 -
@springlering62 Thank you, I just tried the key lime yogurt with whipped cream! You're right--it is over the top! And even though I know everyone's tastebuds are different, I feel a little sorry for the person who disagreed with me. I used to make a graham cracker crust pie topped with that goopy canned cherry pie filling. In between the two was a sweetened condensed milk, cream cheese, vanilla, and lemon juice mixture. I think that this yogurt flavor tastes like the lime version of those wonderfully yummy pie guts. That is one of my very favorite pies; it would always be my choice for my birthday 'cake' every year. We also made it for Christmas when I was a child. I believe that the recipe was either on the label of the sweetened condensed milk or on the cardboard protective wrapping around the cream cheese.5

my preferred theory is that people sometimes hit "disagree" by accident while scrolling, and don't see they did so.
I'm going to have to try the whipped cream thing. I also love that yogurt, and it IS a great treat.

I had to think about this as I've just started again. My blessing is that I'm trying again and my new medicine, Ozempa (not spelled right) has helped me feel fuller. I'm also blessed to have Jesus in my heart and I know he is with me always even on bad days.

My jeans keep falling down!11

I had a big cheat day yesterday and I still met my calorie goal. Today for my morning weigh in, my weight didn't change.13

To me is all about not eating everything I cook and bake for everyone else, I did very well with all the treats we have at work, I can say NO, and that is a big accomplishment for me.11

My weight loss blessing is that I have cut loose and am enjoying holiday baked goods, chocolates, and even a first class pizza.
And that I know on Dec 26, it’s no biggie to go right back to plan. And that I can do it.21 -

This!!! Knowing that I can relax and just enjoy for a couple of days and then also KNOWING that I'll be back at it when the weekend is done is very freeing. Food isn't the boss. I am.

My Christmas blessing is this: today, with a 3/4 lb loss since yesterday, and minus 18 total pounds for the past month, I left behind the "obese" category for the "overweight" one on the BMI chart. Whew!17

Smashed a HIIT workout today. Yes I didn't finish all three rounds and yes I modified. But even a month ago I wouldn't have even tried doing a HIIT. It's such a blessing to scroll through workouts on YouTube and click any that look like fun and just be able to try them instead of looking at the entire workout first to see if you can do the things11

I love th his thread
One of the things I love is being able to enjoy my family and keep up with the grandkids. Before I lost 100 + lbs I couldn't enjoy having all the family over. I would look at it as so much work, a chore. I wanted to have them over. dong get me wrong
But I couldn't enjoy my family like I do now. I was just so sick, constant pain, migraines and lack of energy.11 -
More than just a one-day blessing, maybe more like gradual improvement that's finally sunk in:
My knees hardly ever hurt anymore. I used to limp probably a couple of weeks out of most months (off and on during the month), was pretty much always uncomfortable, sometimes enough pain that it interfered with sleep.
Weight loss made a big difference, took things back to mild discomfort sometimes, occasional pain: That's a big deal.
But it's improved even more, and I'm not sure why. I still have the torn meniscus (maybe two of 'em). I still have the OA. But a lot of the time, I'm completely comfortable, knee-wise.
Now, a long walk will hurt some while I'm doing it (I usually walk 5 miles if walking as an intentional activity), but it doesn't seem to make things worse as an overall pattern. (In fact, it may help, as conditioning so that daily-routine walking isn't stressful.) Alternating rowing and cycling as my routine exercises maybe helps, too, vs. over-focusing on rowing, not sure.
But less pain - nearly none, for now - is for sure a blessing!17 -
A blessing that's easy to take for granted since it happened gradually: the ease with which I can now get up and get out of the bath tub, and how easily I can wrap a regular towel around me.13

I went to Orange Theory Fitness yesterday after a two month break. I have been swimming and hiking regularly. Wow! The difference in my fitness level from the last time I went is amazing. My cardio has really improved and I could get up and down off the floor easily. It was so inspiring and it only gets better from here!!12

I'am 66 years old and I can keep up with a toddler.13

Feeling genuinely HAPPY to be back in the gym after the holidays eating my normal foods again. Also a blessing that I'm NOT in New Year's Resolution Mode about my weight this year. I like how I look, and I love how I feel. This time last year I was a hot mess. What a difference a year makes!12

Was able to cycle a lot quicker to a "far" destination today. I left my house early because I feel out of shape in comparison to a month ago but I'm still waaayyy quicker than I would have been in the summer 😳
Very happy about it & I even enjoyed the ride there12 -
Bump
But also I cycled to my friends new place and didn't even arrive sweaty 🎉🎉8 -
this is a bit odd, but...last night I crawled into bed a different way, since lying down on my usual side was blocked by a temporary furniture change. Used to be, there was only one way I could get up and down, but now I have options.12

I feel blessed to now be able to easily distinguish my clothes from my BF's when sorting the laundry! Generally, the style would give it away, but telling apart our jeans was tricky 70lbs ago! Not anymore 🙂
I just gave my old leather belt to my BF —it's now 12 inches too long for me, but perfect for him!8 -
My little Kitty is a real lap cat and she is so happy that I now have a lap for her to snuggle on 💕 I am so happy too 😊14 -
I’m really loving the feel good factor of this thread 😊5
