Happy Saturday Everyone!
Weekly Check In:
Jan 1 - 218 (SW)
Jan 9 - 213.8
Jan 15 – 212.6
GW: 170
January weight loss goals:
1. Mindful Eating (eat less and foods better for me - no more snacking)
*Update: I am snacking but healthy snacks!
2. Move more!
*Update: Needs improvement. Shown in my progress numbers. Will do better.
3. Log my food intake everyday into MFP
*Update: Still doing this daily and find myself constantly looking for new recipes to try that keep my calories, protein, and carbs in line with my goals. This is a big deal for me, as normally I know what I like and don’t wander too far or experiment too much with food.
Challenges this week: Motivation to exercise and …sodium intake!!!
I am really embracing this journey.
How are you making out?

Happy New Year!!
SW: 216.4
Jan goal: 8 lbs
1/3- 216.4
1/8- 210.8 - I had a great week! So I didn’t get a chance to introduce myself.. I was too busy getting in a bunch of challenges last week. My name is Liz, I’m 5’8 and 38 years old. I lost 35 lbs 2 years ago and just gave up and gained it all back. I’m determined to do better and make a lifestyle change. My brother is getting married in October and all the bridesmaids are skinny.. I got work to do 😂😂. Good luck everyone!
1/15- 207.8 - had a great week but I feel myself snacking more and more which I need to put a stop to.
Total loss: 8.67 -
My mid-month weigh-in was today and I'm on track with a 3 pound loss (well 2.8, but I'm rounding up). I can only weigh myself twice a month or else I get obsessed, but knowing I have to wait two weeks makes me excited.
I've only gone swimming twice this month, but I'm really going to try to push myself to make the time and get to the gym at least 2/3 times a week. Overall, my eating/logging is on track. Just gotta keep on keeping on.💜8 -
Hi, everyone.
We're halfway through January, and I'm halfway toward my goal for this month:
SW: 215
January 1: 205
January 15: 202
January 31: Hoping for Onederland
Goal weight: 180 - by July 29, 2002.
I have to be weighed to get on a float plane in Alaska on that day, and I told the pilot I weigh 20 pounds less than I do now. The reported weight includes full gear.
Not making flight weight = a disappointed 90-year-old mother on her birthday whose bucket list item is to see the grizzlies in Katmai National Park. Inspiration/Pressure ! 🐻🐻🐻🐻
My progress is slowing down, probably because I'm hunkering down and not going to the gym until this latest wave of the virus peaks and subsides where I live. And it's too cold to walk the beaches around here right now. I'll give home workouts a go this next week -- I'll look back to some of your posted suggestions for great at-home workouts.
There are so many successes already this month --way to go @RavenStCloud, @kramereh, @MacKenzieLeeCan, @imgoff232, @sargemarcori - And that's just on this page !
A lot of inspiration and support here. Thank you guys!

Glad to be back and Thank you @RavenStCloud for this thread. Great support here!
Mary from Pennsylvania 64 Heaviest weight 255 lbs twice. :-(
UGW-122 lbs. I was there in 2009/10 and kept it off for 5 years then got lazy.
My goal is to continue with what seems to work for me. 1000-1200 calories, low carb 15 Net +/- 3(My body seems to not do well with carbs. It doesn't know how to burn them and hangs onto them way too much!), minimum 70 + oz of water, 2 meals/day on my days off(3) and 3 meals on my work days(which are long), exercise on my 3 days off. My weigh in day is Sunday.
9/14/20 SW-255 lbs
5/3/21-240.5 lbs Emergency Gallbladder surgery
5/14/21-232.2 lbs started MFP and Low Carb/1000-1200 calorie while recovering
6/1/21-228.8 lbs
7/1/21-222.2 lbs
8/1/21-212.0 lbs
9/1/21-200.0 lbs
10/1/21-191.4 lbs
11/1/21-181.8 lbs
12/1/21-176.2 lbs
12/26/21-165.6 lbs
I went to Texas Roadhouse on 12/28, and the weight went up. It should be just water weight from sodium.
1/1/22-168 lbs
My goal is 5 lbs for January, down 6 lbs and 15 lbs for Nov/Dec/Jan. Met my goal of 15 lbs already!
Nov/Dec/Jan weight loss to date-19.8 lbs! :-)
Down 93 lbs so far!
1/1/22-168 lbs. I did my Elliptical today. 240 minutes for 16.5 miles.
1/2/22-168 lbs. I did my Elliptical today. 240 minutes for 16.55 miles. Needed to get back on my regular reporting weigh in day. I was hoping for a drop but with having Pork & Sauerkraut yesterday, the sodium is inhibiting that, I'm sure.
1/9/22-164.6 lbs. Finally!!! The water weight left yesterday and had a long awaited drop today. Lowest weight I've been in 6-7 years. I did 244 minutes on my Elliptical for 17.1 miles.
1/16/22-162 lbs. :-) New Low on the scale! Also my fat percent today was moderate instead of high. Normal is next! Did 253 minutes on my Elliptical for 16 miles. Slower pace obviously than my usual.

Hey ladies and happy Monday!! Quite a bit of COLD here, frozen rain and snow on top of that, but no where as bad as it could be. Maybe 2 inches of snow, with 1/4 inch of ice under?
Trying to decide if I want to go outside walking or just pace up and down the house like a caged beast for a few miles like I did yesterday. I feel more accomplished when I get outside.
Anyone have thoughts on indoor exercise equipment? I was thinking of a rowing machine. I'd need something small b/c I live in a mobile home, and needs to hold over 220 pounds, at least for now! I'd love suggestions.2 -

PMS and TOTM strike again! Ate at/slightly over maintenance yesterday and woke up to nature's gift this morning. About mid week, I weighed in at 204.1, but of course that was no meant to last. Oh well! Gonna drink plenty of water and eat lots of greens for the next couple of days.

Hi
I am back on my journey. Sorry for the metirc.
In 2012 I was 150kg (about 300 pounds I think) I had a stomach sleeve and lost 60kg (120 pounds)
I have had no end of issues and have been on medication which increases weight gain.
I am back to 133kg.
This year I've had enough and need to loose weight to have surgery to fix my stomach. The issues have caused pneumonia, scared lungs, inflammation obesity and an auto immune disorder. This is going to be a challenge.
I am on a dr monitored 800 calorie deit for 3 months.
My goals are
To walk 100 more steps each day until I can do 10k a day. (Breathlessness makes this very difficult)
To give up alcohol
To give up soft drinks
To lose 20kg in 3 months (40 pounds)
I can then have the surgery I need.
I am also looking for support and freinds.6 -

Not doing too well with the goals this week. Did get to the gym once but different things have kept me away the rest.
Not too excited for my birthday next week. It's been a fight with mom a bit over cake etc. My husband being the lovely he is got me the cake I wanted. I do have a plan as I'll end up having 2 cakes. His I might get Friday so I'll have a piece and then freeze it. Mom's we'll see how big it is and see if I like it for what she'll tolerate my actions for what to do with it - freeze as well or just have a piece each day.
Planning to go to one of the Thai places I like but haven't had in a while. They don't do door dash so I haven't ordered. I'll have to pick up a menu to call them for things.5 -
@LynneM1980 I used to have a rebounder (small trampoline.) I liked it a lot because I could walk while watching TV. I gave it up because it didn't store well, but now they make them so they fold pretty small!
@nittyj5403 you came to the right place for support and friends! welcome! just stick with it. you CAN do it. I, for one, will cheer you on every step!2 -

I'm on the struggle bus this week. Weight's barely moved (just yo-yoing up and down the same 2 pounds) and I'm stressed out waiting for test results. Saw the rheumatologist last week and she's running a boatload of tests. My next appointment isn't until early February and the waiting is killing me.
Trying very hard to not stress eat, but am kind of failing. My goal of 40 pounds before 40 (my bday is next week) looks like I just might miss it.8 -

Not my weigh in day, but hit a new low at 203.2! Hoping once "Aunt Flo" goes away by Monday, it'll be even less. Also went on a mile jog despite TOTM and managed to keep it under 10 minutes 30 seconds. This time last year, I was jogging 12 minute miles on a good day, so it's awesome to see that I can beat that by 90 seconds on a "meh" day.8

I was not so good at sticking to my exercise plan this week but I did stay true to my calorie goal. Happy to see the scale moving again after smaller losses through the holidays.
2022 Goals:
🎆 Continue logging everyday
🎆 Remember that weight loss slows as I near my goal. .5lb to 1lb per week is good!
🎆 Walk or spin bike before work
🎆 Don’t let life derail my progress. This is my new normal and I can keep it up even when life gets hard.6 -
Hello and happy January 2022 to all!
I'm just starting so:
CW: 245
GW: 160
I do not expect to reach my goal weight in one year. I now embrace that this is a process!
Goals:
1) Log everything I put in my mouth;
2) Stay away from sugar and refined carbs;
3) Get moving - minimum of 3-4 days per week. (I've started Barre3 Videos at home and really like them)
Thanks for your support!!

Welcome, @sfortner2014 !! That's the winning attitude--each step in the right direction is worth celebrating.
I've been on target with my deficit almost all week, and doing well at getting 10k steps. I was mad this morning that I'm up not down--but then I realized I forgot my meds yesterday! That could well have done it. Hoping for a nice pretty number tomorrow!4 -

You've done great so far, don't beat yourself up. If it takes a little longer to get that 40lbs off don't stress it. You're a work in progress, and you're bettering yourself and that's all that matters. You WILL get there, baby steps. Since you are under a heavy stress load can you just eat at your maintenance calories until after you get your test results? That might make you feel better taking a planned break vs failing to me that more restrictive calorie goal at this time. You got this!3 -

GW for January 2022: 174.2
UGW: 145 by end of August 1st, 2022
My weigh-in day's are Tuesday's.
Goals for 2022:
- Plan what I will eat each morning and track everything I eat. Done
- Drink 6 glasses of water a day Done
- Read 1 book a month - Done, I read Rose Madder by Stephen King. Currently almost done with my second book. I mostly read in the waiting room of the doctor's office.
- Clean out my Closet my March 1st. On a planned break.
- Reach my goal weight by August 1st Maybe or Maybe Not
- Walk 3000 steps per day I did miss a couple of days last week, bad knees
- Try 1 new recipe a month. I tried my Boc Choy recipe, it was delicious
- Update F2F Daily I missed 2 day's last week
- Keep up with F2F 40 things to do in 2022! I'm either working on this or thinking about it.
I'm not going to make 174.2 by the end of January but I'm really OK with that. I have not gained, and I even lost a little. I'm staying true to my calorie counting and food diary.
I got a shock this week, my prescription drug company tried to charge me $2334.00 copay. I lost an entire day due to stress and phone calls. I saw my doctor yesterday and he gave me a copay card that I can use but the insurance company is also working on a tier reduction. I'll find out the true cost next week.
Due to these uncertain times and food supplies, we bought a Garage Ready Upright Freezer which is due to be delivered at the end of this month. I didn't know what Garage Ready was, it's a freezer made to withstand the fluctuations in temperature in a garage from 0-110 degrees. We will put it outside on our upper deck. Salt is in short supply in a lot of areas, ground beef, celery, and rice only to name a few. And the important Queso Cheese Sauce for my loaded baked potato that I eat twice a week. I will buy extra frozen shrimp, Sherbert and frozen veggies to put in our freezer and precook taco meat and freeze that too.2 -
I'm back on the diet train. I'm finishing my (hopefully) last cycle of IVF then taking a few month break before I move on to trying to implant a baby. Infertility has been rough, I gained back all the weight I had lost.
SW: 245
GW: 160 (long long term)
Mini GW: 200. I am hoping to reach this before moving on to getting pregnant but it may or may not happen!
I'm not sure how much weight I will lose this month/next due to all the hormone changes with my last IVF cycle. But I want to at least start doing better. Eating the right kinds of things, and trying to get my body moving.

Hello. Day one for me! I have two weddings to go to this year, and one of which I am the maid of honour. Plus I am newly single, so I have to get into shape before I enter the dating world.
CW: 204

Long term GW: 160
I'm just trying to make it to onederland first, and get back to my weight that I was at before I met my ex boyfriend. I gained so much weight while I was with him. I was also on heavy psychiatric medication that did not help the situation. Not anymore! I'm on my own, and I'm on different meds that shouldn't make me gain weight.
GOALS:
Track everything that goes in my mouth.
Track the night before work when I pack my lunch and stick to it
Stop snacking, especially after dinner
Water, water, water
Go to the gym at least 3x/week
Take my dog for a walk everyday
Be a part of the MFP community and stay accountable.
Fresh start! Add me if you want!
