Over my period of thinking I was eating good and felt pretty fit, I realized and am super over weight. I need to lose 77 pound and eating the right foods will be my first step and working out my second step. I will post my progress and keep logging. Wish me luck and let's see how I can do this at the ripe ol' age of 55 almost 56!!! YIKES GRANDMA OF 8

I am 59, and lost over 90, beginning at 56.
You’ll read or be told by those who claim to know that “it’s harder for older women”, “you can’t lose weight if you’re post menopausal”, and other such “wisdom”.
It’s not true at all. It’s all about weighing accurately and logging honestly. Yeah, it requires diligence and patience, but it hasn’t been hard at all.
The more I lost, the better I felt. The better I felt, the more inclined I was to get off my *kitten*. The more I got off it, the better I felt again, and moved even more. It’s not a vicious cycle. It’s a sincerely rewarding cycle.
I am currently visiting my brand new (first) grandbaby. My daughter and son-in-law, whom I’ve seldom seen since I began weight loss, are flabbergasted at me getting up at 5 am (easy for this east coast gal lol) and going for a run or a 5 mile walk and knocking out a yoga class (when there’s not a Pack n’Play set up in the middle of the room), and then tackling their massive to-do list. This is not the fat, sedentary mom they used to know.
This is “how to Grandma”, y’all.
My son-in-law about died laughing when he overheard me telling her grandma was goi g to stay in good shape so we can okay in the park and ride allll the roller coasters we can.6
