What's Your Most Recent NSV

It has been ages since I've felt like I have had any NSVs; I've spent about 1.5 years on a slow gaining streak, where I stopped tracking and really didn't try much.
As of today I have tracked a full week and a day. A couple of times I had to go back and try to remember part of the previous day, but I did it and that's the best I've done in a really really long time.27 -
I got asked for ID in a supermarket to buy wine......
I'll be 47 in April 😁
Admittedly when she looked at my ID and looked back at me she did laugh and apologise.
It literally made my day 😁23 -
when I sit down now I can see my knee caps! not just a huge mound of skin.20
-
Moved up to the 20 pound dumbbells for my arm routine.23

My husband bought a 50lb sandbag for his workout group, and I was able to lift it. I couldn't get it over my head, but I could pull it up to my chest from where he was holding it at hip level without using my legs. This time last year, that bag would have hit the floor as soon as my husband let go. Progress!!
Edited to add one more NSV: Yesterday at the gym I hung on the rock climbing grips and did ten knee-to-chest leg lifts. When I started, I couldn't even hang.24 -
Last week I was able to comfortably fit into two pairs of dress pants that I haven't been able to wear in 2 years.22
-
My most recent NSV is my belt on my favorite jeans tightening two notches! (And pretty soon, they won't be my favorite jeans.)20
-
Wearing a bathrobe over my PJ's that haven't been worn in 5-6 years!15
-
Wore my work pants that inspired the weight loss yesterday. They were too tight to wear in public when I decided I needed to change my ways. Yesterday they felt like they were a tad too big!19
-
I wear more jeans and less yoga pants now. I also don’t have to choose looser shirts to cover a belly pooch hanging over my belt.
My underwear are all too big.
I bought a long sleeve size medium bikini thinking it would be my “goal weight” bikini for summer, it already fits and I’m 4 months away from summer.

Belt went down another notch today!19

I now consider myself a runner.
Over the years, I tried running a few times, and even though I completed C25k twice, it never became a real habit.
But in my current weight loss journey, I tried again. For the calories, I'll be honest. And then it was about increasing my cardiovascular fitness. And then it gradually became a habit.
This week has been super stressful. And running is what I turned to, to keep me sane and drain my nervous energy.26 -
I just finished my third and final planned run for the week! And I feel pretty good! Maybe I can do this after all 🤔14

Technically not 100% a NSV, but I recently had to change my profile to move my "long term" weight goal to my "short term" goal and create a new long term goal weight.18

When I started losing weight I wore a size 14-16.
Well, 18 months later I wear a size 14-16 again.
Now in girls/kids sizes.
And the options are SO MUCH MORE FUN (and way cheaper).25 -
Most days are looking like this, which makes me happy. Blood pressure's OK, so the sodium doesn't worry me. The overwhelming majority of sugars are not added sugars, so that doesn't worry me either. (Actually, if all the other stuff was OK, it wouldn't bother me if it was mostly added sugars).
ETA: Yes, under calorie goal right now, too, by 110; but I'm in maintenance, will probably eat a little more, get closer to goal.16 -
My size 12 jeans were too big and I had put off going shopping. I was secretly hoping I could fit into a size 8 but didn’t want to be disappointed so i only took size 10 to try on. They were big and the size 8 ended up fitting nicely. I haven’t been this size in decades!!28

I didn't eat any of the treats off the communal treat cart last week. I'm on target for being able to say the same thing this week! Just 5 hours to go... (People bring in snacks and baked goods to share. I love my coworkers, but the treats can be very challenging to pass by all day long.)17

Not sure if it counts as a NSV, but I'm starting to be able to create my own recipes for things. The other day, I riffed off of my favorite soup recipe and it turned out really good. Then today, I was thinking about making quesadillas for the week, but I decided not to bother with a recipe since my ingredients are a bit, ahem, eclectic, before grocery shopping is done for the week. Now, I just have to figure out how to log my new creations!16

Having to get my glasses adjusted because they were falling off my face18

Going on vacation to a warm locale and thought I’d buy a couple extra pairs of shorts. I ordered a pair online, size 8, which fit perfectly. I went shopping today and got another one, size 8, of a different brand, which also fit fine. Although I have taken in the waistbands of 2 or 3 of my size 10 jeans, but I wouldn’t have thought I’d gone down an entire size. Still don’t—vanity sizes and all. My other shorts are size 10 and aren’t yet lose enough to bother to take in. Come to think of it, my size 10 swimsuits are getting a touch big. I weighed ~10-15 less than now, back when I previously wore size 8 clothing. Single digit clothing—it’s been a long time…18

I did yoga last night after not working out for a few weeks. I felt so refreshed and energized. It reminded me why working out is important, and encouraged me to stay the course17

Winter and snow at my favorite hiking spot has stopped my weekly hikes with my sister. We always took our progress photos in beautiful spots along the trail. Yesterday, we walked on a trail in a city park area and finally, after almost four weeks, took progress pictures. I was in a heavy 2X sweatshirt and blue jeans so I didn't expect much. I looked at the pictures today and what did I see? Someone who fits in with average folks. Nothing out of the ordinary. Definitely not a person that would be immediately noticeable because of my weight. I can't wait to stand in the front row in group pictures. I'm thrilled to be one of the crowd!!24

While the scale hasn’t been moving so much in the past month- just bouncing around between the same 3-4 lbs- the size 8 jeans I bought in December as my next goal jeans are slowly getting better fitting. Still a little tight to wear out of the house, but almost there!12

My NSV today is that my husband and I have completed week 7 of an 8 week program! With no missed days, no injuries, and even doing doubles some days!! 💪💪
It was so hard to work out today, I am hitting a motivation wall lately! My husband has had to drag me kicking and screaming (not literally, but close - he is truly a superhero to me) to the workout room, but I always am happy and relieved to have worked out. But! I saw a cool article today that talked a way to re-find motivation, that some may appreciate:
https://theconversation.com/lost-your-motivation-to-work-out-heres-why-and-how-to-get-back-on-track-148402
It talks about it's easier to stay motivated when you think things like, 'I am an exerciser' instead of 'I am a person who exercises'...like, fitness as a part of my identity and not just a thing I do. I will be trying out that mindset for a bit to see if that helps with this motivation rut I am in 🤞🤞9 -
Recognizing that I'm having appetite/craving signals because (for a variety of reasons) I'm feeling unusually fatigued, so my body is seeking energy (calories). I haven't decided exactly what to do about that . . . but it's an explicit decision, which seems like a psychological win, to me.13

Last weekend I clipped my toenails standing on the back porch. Just... bent down and there I was! right up against them!
No contortions, no gymnastics. No lifting of leg on one side onto chair. Just... swoop! clip! Done!

Beat my 1.5 mile time. 15 minute 10 seconds. Going to try to keep this pace until I can do it without feeling tired. My try to keep this pace for 1.75 miles instead of 1.5. Still thinking about it.16

Last night I had to attend a hybrid meeting for a volunteer organization. Without thinking (and because I was running late), I positioned myself in full gaze of the webcam. When I looked over at the screen, I actually liked the way I looked on camera. As a person who would shy away from photos (not to mention video), this was a true NSV.25

I have two this week! One is that I was stretching and was able to hook my elbows against the back of my knees. On a semi-related note, I've also been taking my dogs for semi-regular walks again now that it's warmed up.
The other victory was that I was really hungry and wanted pizza. So, instead of going to the store and getting a pizza that would have blown my calories, I made my own pizza (including the crust!) that was delicious and fit in my calorie budget for the day ^_^17
