Women 200lb+, Let's Be Majestic This March!!!

Thank you all for being patient enough to hear my motivation again and again - it means so much !
Basically, I lied on a form required to reserve a small float plane for a trip to a remote spot in Alaska in July so that my mother can see the grizzly bears up close on her 90th birthday. 🐻🐻🐻
I reported my weight at 195 pounds when in fact it was 215.
If I don't make my flight weight, and that includes jacket and boots, we could be denied the chance to
board, and my mother could miss her bucket-list wish.
I won't disappoint her, so I have to make it down to 185 by our trip!
Last month, I complained about a 3-week plateau, but it finally budged --yay!
This month, it's definitely Onederland time.
That'll be a big boost, as I'll finally be on the downhill side of this weight loss goal.
SW: January 1: 215
CW: 200
March goal: Onederland and a few more
July goal: 185
You've made AMAZING progress, @swimmom_1 !
@tahitig
Thank you and you can do it! I have faith in you!

Hey y’all! I’m Val. I joined MyFitnessPal last June when my favorite site SparkPeople shutdown which was very similar to this.
I had lost 30 lbs but have gained half of it back. I’m getting back on the bandwagon because I am not giving up. 💪🏽I need to do this for myself, also for my son and my sister who also struggle with weight.
I’m currently 290.6 and still think I’m sexy! 😂but I can be better. At one point I was about 310 early last year. I’m no spring chicken and need to get healthy to get my blood pressure in check. I’ll be 57 in July and last year I met my then goal to be 285 for my birthday which I met.
My plan that works is to log my food daily and to excersize no less than every other day . Also to drink my water no less than 8 cups and to eat more fruits and veggies with each meal.
I learned to set small goals because they are more realistic for me and just build from that. So my goal this month is to lose 10 pounds.
I’m so glad I found this discussion for 200 lbs plus. Looking to encourage and to be encouraged! 🥰9 -

Good morning everyone!
It's Friday, can you feel it? I 100% can, even though today at work is going to suck.
Tag party!
@hap2go Oooh, yeah, maybe just the coconut cream part? It will be fun to experiment.
@goal06082021 yesssss I only ever freak out about my rolling average weight going up, since my cycle does nasty things to my water retention. It's nice to know you were on track all along!
@sandielewis2001 moving is the woooorst. I hope you get to a place where everything settles down soon!
@seltzer_lover NSV! NSV! NSV! *roots like a bunch of frat boys*
@vparks5915 I love that you still think you're sexy. I am the same- even at 220 I was checking myself out in the mirror, so you can imagine what happened when I got down to 155 You can do it! Do it for EVEN SEXIER you!
@roz0810 look at you go!!!

MARCH! 🍀 GOALS! 🍀
💚 Log every food in grams.✅
💚 Get 7k steps every day, no excuses✅
💚 Lift weights 3x week✅
💚 More than 100g protein every day✅
Just for this week: 🍀
💚 No playing Witch Queen until my steps are done for the day, lol✅
Weigh-ins:
3/1: 198.8
3/4:196.6 (-2.2)
Nice little jump start, I know it will slow to a crawl immediately, lol.
Friday nights mean pizza and beer. I'm not compromising on the beer, but I'm going to see if I like the pizza wrap recipe from here:
https://youtu.be/FVjaC99eA28
We're having cheeseburgers this weekend, so I'm going to try her cheeseburger platter as well. I even bought the same seasoning! We'll see.
I'm bribing myself to go to work today with fancy coffee, but I've logged it and I'm compensating elsewhere and that is what it's all about. Happy Friday everyone!

@CupcakeCrusoe Love the Tuesday Supernatural meme! One of my friends is a huge fan and into the fandom so I always smile when I see a meme being shared into whatever topic.
I seemed to have fallen off since going to Disney mid Feb. Work was full on tight timelines coming back so I hadn’t come back to check in. Just kept logging onto the app at least.
Trip was better than last year’s with the friend. We found more for her to eat this time but planning next time could be better. I still don’t know what she eats. BUT she did consider me as a role model for being able to moderate foods without it destroying the day. I tried as best as I could. I was screaming for a salad after a day without a vegetable for the foods I could have. Found a salad without cut grape tomatoes so that was better.
I don’t think I posted it but one of the fights with mom I had, and I’m not sure on the exact words she said, but she picked at that either 1. Don’t buy junk food or 2. Don’t eat junk food according to her. Both are correct as I’m not diving into most things she has. I’ve kept my portions of desserts to what I can handle. All I could think of was – Good! That’s right I don’t. It’s a good thing.
Feb went fast as always. Just seems faster.
March. Excited for things at the end of the month. I’m going to another Horror convention like I went to last September. They have the original cast from Scream as I was hoping they would with the new movie out. Then going to Disney for their new spring RunDisney event. I couldn’t get in for the 5k but did for the yoga so I’m looking forward to that. I should be doing yoga on my own to prepare as I haven’t done some in a while. I’m assuming it’ll be old hat though, especially as it’s for all levels.
Keeping my March goal simple. While I saw 216 for 1 day last month I want to see it consistent and get past it. Getting started back at the gym. Staying small to get a routine and then increase.

✝️Be patient! Remember that increments are where it is at, and focus on habits.
✝️Be consistent in logging, exercise, and weighing all food.
✝️Remember: Total loss of over 110 lbs!!
Since it was asked about motivation, I have this quote on my monthly goal sheet:
@ferousavocado quote: “You will never always be motivated, so you must learn to always be disciplined. There is no one big step that does it. It is a lot of little steps.The hardest part about weightloss is not diet or exercise - it's PATIENCE. It takes a long time. I constantly remind myself that we are in this for the long haul. We are in this for life! If I have a bad day, I log it and move on - the most important thing is getting right back to it the next day. It's about sticking with it. Dedication and persistence will pay off over time.”8 -
That about sums it up. I have been battling some anxiety in the last few days and just have a lot on my plate. Had one big splurge and I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I need some motivation back. Like just in general.

Hi everyone
Not new to MFP, but first time using the community. At my highest weight ever: about 286lb and I hate it. Went for a night out recently and some men shouted "2 seats needed, 3 seats needed" which obviously spoiled my night. I'm not thinking ultimate goals at the minute, but my weekly goal is to lose 2kg so:
5th March: 129.9kg13 -
Hi! I’ve been using MFP since 2017 off and on. Mom of 3 and working full time. My weight has fluctuated with my different approaches to diet and life style changes. I finally have done a sort of elimination diet to see how each food reacts to my systems. I also make sure to walk every day and get that water in 😎. I don’t have many struggles with my health, but my family history isn’t stellar. I definitely have a hard time logging food now that I have a routine; however, I try to incorporate many types of whole foods. Seeing everyone’s goals and gains, I’m definitely energized to push myself again. Here’s my journey so far:
Age: 35

Good morning and happy Saturday! I'm declaring Selfie Saturday if y'all want to participate- I love seeing people's selfies, when they feel good about them. I'll start:
(I snapped this one mid-conversation with my best friend on the phone last night, and it turned out amazing. That's my baby back there, she loves coming around my L shaped desk to say hi)
Tag party!
@hap2go nice loss!
@sarah12277 oooh, yoga at Disney! Sounds amazing.
@justanotherloser007 I'm glad you're re-motivated by lent. For myself, I learned when I'm close to breaking down, it's time to eat at maintenance for a little while before getting back to a deficit. Playing the long game. Something to consider.
@danikat15 no fears, if you're eating around maintenance, you're not gaining. Your body can hold up to 11 lbs in water alone, so don't stress, just keep logging through it.
@roz0810 you're making excellent progress!
@kirstygudgeon5590 Hi! Those guys are real *kitten*holes, I'm so sorry.
@LadySanguin you're doing great! Welcome to the group!
I've made a nice cauliflower-spinach-ham-egg white scramble for breakfast, time to head out to get my steps for the day before things really start up. I'll get at least half of them this morning, and I'll walk again later if I don't get the rest through my chores today. Tonight is cheeseburger plate and beer, and I'll see what sort of treat I can fit in.
I managed to do my weight lifting last night, even though I usually do it in the morning, and I reallllly didn't want to. Win for me!
Have a great Saturday, everyone!

Well didn’t loose any weight this week. Just maintained. I didn’t quite hit my goal for February. I missed it by 3 lbs. I’ve adjusted my timeline. I still lost 7.2 lbs and I need to be okay. After all, it’s not where im at, it’s about the direction I’m headed.
Now I want to be 185 by the end of this month. It’s only 5 lbs so I think that’s doable. I haven’t been calorie counting recently. I think that is definitely a contributor to the slow down.

My weight keeps going down with my daily weigh ins. Worked a couple 12 hour shifts so I couldn't go to the gym, so today I'm going to head back. I've really gotten into the routine of going on my days off. It's just becoming a habit after coffee to just get my gym gear and go no matter how I feel. It feels good! I really like the gym I'm at. I have hellofresh coming tomorrow, and two of the meals are a little higher in calories so I gotta kinda skimp during the day. They looked so good though!! They only have so many low calorie meals. I am loving hellofresh though, the meals are sooo tasty and it's teaching me new stuff in the kitchen.

Things are trending in the right direction, and this weekend I have a number of cooking adventures on the docket.
First, the theme this week for the Reddit 52 Weeks of Cooking challenge is "No Recipe." I'm a fairly confident home cook at this point, but I usually consult a recipe or two when figuring out what I'm going to make for the challenge. I figured pot roast is probably more or less idiot-proof for an idiot of my caliber, and I've made similar things in the past, so I should be able to figure this out. It smells great, so I hope the three-hour oven braise did its job and the meat is tender and delicious.
After that, with the price of meat being what it is right now, I decided that Hubs and I will be dipping our toes into the wide, weird world of plant-based alternative proteins for lunch this week. The original plan was pork stir fry, but with pork out of reach, we're going with firm tofu instead. I haven't worked with tofu much, so for this one I will be consulting various recipes and resources to figure out how best to use it here. Last time I made stir-fry for lunches, I had the thought of cooking up each portion one at a time, rather than trying to cook one big batch and then divide it up - having too much in the pan for a stir-fry ends up steaming more than frying, it's not quite what I'm going for. I bet can bulk-prepare the ingredients and divide those into portions, then cook and pack those one by one, and that should turn out better.7 -
I am back on my weight loss journey I was off for a while and I am still trying to find my motivation my doggies help and anyways I have a ways to go to get to my goal but my first goal is to get to 250 then 200 and then 150 my starting weight is 313. Ugh. Can I just say that I much preferred the loss line when I was going for 2 lbs a week instead of 1? This bouncing up and down makes it so much harder to *feel* like I am making progress, even though I know I am. I actually took all my data point (maintenance calories, goal calories, intake, and scale readings) and made a spreadsheet to see what I "should" weigh assuming the statistical averages the site uses, lol. And with that I am tracking where I am supposed to overall. And my low weights are getting lower, as are the bumps up, but the bumps make it feel like I am losing the same few pounds over and over. The progress pictures I am taking at least show the progress I am making. Anyways, enough complaining, lol. Good job all - I really appreciate this awesome group and the inspiration it provides ❤️

Good morning! Sunday meal prep day!
My weight's a little up today, but that burger bowl yesterday had a lot of sodium and it's ovulation time. Not worried about it, I know exactly how many calories I took in yesterday.
Today's plan is to put some chicken in the crock pot with some marinade for lunches for the week. I think I'm going to mix up the veggies- I usually just throw in whatever frozen veg I need to get rid of, but this week I think I'll make salads And dinner tonight will be chicken curry, and I'll put mine over cauliflower rice instead of normal rice.
I had two of the new Girl Scout cookies yesterday, Adventuresomes- very good. It's a good thing I only bought one box, and my family demolished the rest, lol.
Tag party:
@jazzadesigns +0.1 is so little, so you're doing great!
@J_doe welcome, we're all here for you!
@cowgirlslikeus86 I think that's a doable goal, if you push a little! As you get smaller, of course it will be hard to do deficit enough to lose 1 lb or more a week
@ladychr0nic I'm so glad you've found what works for you. I love those meal delivery services, too. Takes some of the planning out of it, and that's most of the pain of cooking
@goal06082021 Let us know how the pot roast went! And the tofu! I've only ever been able to eat tofu when it's in a stir fry and I can't really tell it's there- I prefer seitan.
@wilsonshri44 you can do it! I find this thread really helps- if I check in every morning, it sets my brain for accountability for the day.
@lmgoff232 have you thought about using one of the weight averaging apps? On Android, I use Libra, but I think for Apple phones it's called Happy Scale. You can adjust how many days go into the average and all you have to do is plug the numbers in every time you weigh in!
@roz0810 you're on fire!
@kirstygudgeon5590 also to tag people just put an @ in front of their username. Although I don't think this site gives notifications for tags, so very silly.

I was away the last weekend in Feb. and put on 5 pounds. After steadily losing, it was a blow. I watched what I ate on 2 days but did have 2 high calorie days and walked excessively but still gained. It is finally almost off. I need to make changes so that when I am away I don't have the gains that put me back a week.5 -
Hello ladies! My name is Liz and I’m 37/ 5’8”, married with 2 kids. Mileena is 6 and Jax will be 4 this month. They keep me busy that’s for sure. I’m ultimately trying to be healthier for me and my family BUT my brother is getting married in October and I’m in the wedding. We tried on dresses a couple Sundays ago and that jump started this. It was embarrassing and I felt so down on myself. I’ve been using that as motivation to keep going strong.

I saw @CupcakeCrusoe posted a ticker! I use to do that on mfp like a decade ago! Thanks for the re-inspiration! Here is mine!
Now that I have more time to write;
I’ve been struggling with the wintertime blues pretty heavily for the last couple weeks. I just ordered Thorne vitamin-d to hopefully help with that. I’m also trying to get out in the sun as much as I possibly can (when it shows it’s face).
I’ve been alcohol free since the 2nd week of January. It was going really good until this week. I’ve started having cravings or longings. Whatever you call them. I actually pulled down a bottle of wine and put it in the fridge to chill last night. 10 minutes later after realizing ide spent the last 10 minutes making excuses as to why it was okay for me to break my alcohol free spree, I pulled it out and put it back up in the cabinet.
Part of the trigger was unpacking old photos/albums. They were pictures from me and my ex-husbands wedding/honeymoon and all the fun adventures we had around that time. It made me really sad but I managed to throw them away.
Today, I am glad I had the willpower to not drink. I just need to remember that feeling if I’m tempted again and it’s not for the right reasons. I will drink at some point but that day is not today.
On another note, I pulled out one last box of clothing which mostly contained summer stuff. My stuff that was tight last year is too big to wear. I also have shorts that are about 15 years old that I’ve always hung onto as my “these are my shinny shorts” are able to get on but I wouldn’t wear them out of the house yet. Another 15lbs probably.
I like seeing familiar names back for march! We’ve got this! I’m back to 2 lbs a week as my goal now that my birthday month is over!

@roz0810
I like that you are weighing in every day. I actually do this I just don’t record it. If I find after this week that I haven’t lost any more weight, I might switch to daily recording as accountability. Nice work!5 -
@CupcakeCrusoe brilliant, thanks!! And how do you respond to individual comments (with the comment visible.... If that makes sense!!)?2
