Before starting my journey, I had NO idea what pant size I was...maybe 26W? IDK. But I had a baby shower to go to the other week and had to buy jeans... I was "smaller" than I thought and grabbed a bunch of 18 pants but all were too big. I ended up getting two pairs of 16. Anyway... now those jeans are loose and I will be jean shopping again! I hate the idea of spending money AGAIN but it feels darn good!
Oh and my VO2 Max level went up over 5 points! I noticed I have been tolerating exercise much better lately and sure enough, that would explain why!! YAY!!24 -

How much is ur VO2 level at the moment? For me there was big drop last year after I sustained the shoulder injury (from 43 to 34) but now I’m getting better at it and notched up around 4 points 😊.. currently it stands around 38.

I spent last week at home on the couch because of a cold, but yesterday I went back to the gym. That's an NSV in itself, but the real one is this: my first thought when I walked in the gym was, "It feels good be MYSELF again!" I love that my true vision of myself now includes going to the gym. I truly don't feel like me when I don't go. It was also nice to realize that I never, ever want to go back to sitting on the couch all the time. That used to be my life. Not anymore.22

I first started losing with MFP in May 2017 and was around 60 pounds down by May 2018. Kept it off until the lockdowns and gym closures began, which brought be back up by 25 pounds by this past holiday season. Having finally had enough of feeling out of control and I resolved to get back on it and am back down by 10 now. Actually though, I lost those 10 in the first 2 months and have spent the past month stalled out (the reasons behind that are for another forum).
The NSV is simply that I'm checking in now, having caught back up with everybody else's NSVs and hoping to jump back into the community here in a more meaningful way. And in fact I've been here longer than you all know because I've been making my way back through the last 40 or so pages of this thread, and just reached the end today. Here's to more scale and non-scale victories for us all in the coming months.14 -
The NSV I had today was being able to fit into my size medium shorts. Before losing weight, I couldn't even get the shorts pass halfway up my thighs, now it fits like a glove. Although the waist is now looser. I'll probably have to replace the elastic.10

This is my latest NSV:
This is the very first ring my BF gave me, at our first anniversary I think, more than 15 years ago. And it fits again!
While I was obese, I had a standard ring size, but I'm back fitting into my tiny rings again (46/47mm, UK size H/I, US size 4) 😁29 -
Last night I grabbed a pair of shorts from my drawer and threw them on--and realized they were pretty baggy. When I bought them, I was wearing them as underwear bc that's how they fit--boy-short briefs.14

At the end of autumn I took my coat to the dry cleaners and had it cleaned and the buttons re-sewen. Ever since then the coat has had a massive gap when I do it up, but this morning the gap has finally just about closed!14

Last night after church, a friend asked me how I had gotten in such good shape and complimented me on how good I looked! For the past few months he had pretty much only seen me in some kind of jacket and since I didn't wear one last night the change was more obvious I guess. Now if only a pretty lady or two and just just straight guys IRL would start noticing 🤣14

I went to the gym TWICE yesterday. I think that might be a first for me. I had gone first thing in the morning, then was working from home and finding that I just wan't being productive, so since the mental side wasn't cooperating I decided to use that time doing something physical. It was just some treadmill walking and a brief turn on the elliptical; still, according to MFP's calculations that was nearly 350 calories I wouldn't have burned otherwise.15

I painted my toenails a gorgeous blue just before I took a trip to Texas. No struggle, just lean down and paint. And then...just look at all that extra belt left over after I hooked my seat belt for the flight. I never had to ask for an extender, but I was definitely smooshed tight in the belt before I started losing weight. I'm getting there!!20

My clothes for years have been 2XL if I want it to fit, 3XL if I want it roomy (nightshirts and jackets.) Today I'm wearing a L jacket and *loving* it.27

It happened a few weeks ago and I’ve struggled to process it. Someone called me slim. This is literally the first time anyone has ever said that about me. I had no idea how to respond - whether to laugh, cry, believe them or not. I must have looked like an idiot because I think I just stared at them, not able to say anything 😂29

I was doing an upper body strength training video yesterday and it had push ups, i can rep out upto 70 girl push ups mindlessly but the trainer was doing military style so I tried to copy her.. I did 4!!! I am gonna try doing it everyday as Practice makes (wo)man perfect20

My NSV is turning down cake at a going away party because I had already had a treat at Starbucks earlier! Now that I'm tracking my food, I knew I couldn't meet my daily calorie or sugar goals if I had both. Two weeks ago, I wouldn't have thought twice. Yay!25

I went swimming today and actually liked how I looked in my swimsuit! It’s a size 12 and I still have a way to go but pleasantly surprised that I felt good.
Also I had one square of a chocolate bar and put the rest back in the cupboard.20 -
I put on my running leggings this morning and had to pull the drawstring- that’s a new one 😊
I struggled at the beginning of my jog, but stuck In there and finished strong. Next week is the last week of couch to 5k 👌🏾21 -
Yesterday, I sorted through my underwear drawer as my knickers had started to creep down my bottom. Luckily I had got a new pack, as when I sorted I had to get rid of every pair bar two, as they were all miles too big. I had to order more, smaller ones, from Amazon. The drawer looks very empty but it makes me smile. Got rid of 3 tops too. Feels good.22
-
I'm 3 sizes smaller than what Amazon recommends based on previous purchases! 😅29
-
This morning I put on my Summer yoga pants from last year, and they look like pajama bottoms. They stay on, but only barely. Hard to believe they fit tight a year ago. I'm still not used to being this small around.
@JenKindo I love your Amazon comment...I was wishing there was a way to reset my sizes, but now I'll look at it as an NSV instead.17 -
I got rid of all my old knickers too, they were size 20 (I'm sure some might have been 22) but now my new ones are 14! Saves space on the washing airer too!
Yesterday was a nice day and I wanted to wear the hoodie I found when I was sorting out the spare wardrobe (full of clothes I hoped would fit again one day). But it was too big now! So I'm off shopping this morning to get a cheap new one, in a colour other than black!21 -
Thank you all for sharing your NSVs, reading these always makes my day 1000% better!
The week before last week, I took a recovery week after finishing a 60-day routine. Woo hoo! But last week, I got back to it. However! I went really hard: I did the video workouts super intense, ran a 5K, and completed my regular running route without stopping (a huuuge milestone!!).
Yesterday, I crashed. Couldn't get out of bed, everything hurts and I'm dying. Throughout the day, I was reviewing the week and what happened that made me feel like that...and it dawned on me...way too much, way too fast! Like I juiced up my batteries during the recovery week and jettisoned full blast and drained the batteries right away.
So, I laid in my epsom salt bath today and reconfigured my plan for the next weeks. I don't need to accomplish everything. I just need to make healthful and safe choices! So that's my NSV, that I have come to a good point and feel refreshed and energized to be balanced this week27 -

Are you me?
Seriously, this is exactly where I am and what I’ve just figured out. I go too hard and in my case, I get injured. So… it’s not all or nothing. It’s making healthy, safe choices and for me at least, acknowledging my own limitations so I don’t keep getting injured or burnt out.
Very good insight! Thank you for sharing!

Lost 2 inches on my waist line, ran 2 miles outdoors at my slow speed, loving being able to finish. So this was a 2fer NSV day!22

So, I decided to change my running goals from "how quickly can I run 1.5 miles?" to "how long can I jog at a pace slightly faster than 6 mph without taking any breaks to walk?" Right now, the answer is 13 minutes. Even then, I only walked for 1 minute before jogging again. My original goal was to work up to 15 minutes, but being so close, I think I'm going to work up to 20.19
