Hello, I am a 37yr old female, have gone through some health challenges in the last 2 years since having brain surgery. A lot of medications and antibiotics have wreaked havoc on my gut health. Since, I have had severe brain fog and chronic fatigue amongst other things. I am overweight and really struggling to find any motivation. Do you know much about leaky gut? And how to heal through diet?

Hi. I’m struggling with macros. My goals are weight loss and increasing fitness ability. I am 54 year old female, 5’3”, current weight is 146 down from 155. Goal weight 135-140. I have my macros set at 40% protein, 40% carbs, 20% fat with 1200 cal daily total. Work out 5-6 days a week with weights and 30 min cardio. Are these nutrition goals appropriate? If not how should I adjust? Thanks0

My work schedule alternates between days for a week and nights for a week.
Is it better to keep my meals at roughly the same time or should I be shifting my meal times?
I stay away from caffeine on nights and only drink water.
I eat 90% of my calories from clean food and never consume (junk food) while working.
I find that I always feel bloated while working nights. Any tips?
Thank you.0 -
Hello,
My metabolic rate is 1619kc; how many calories should I be eating to lose weight at a healthy rate? I exercise 4-5 times per week at a moderate to high rate, and am 59 years old.0 -
I started in January and I've lost 6 kilos (13lb) since, but recently my weight has plateaued at 74kg and isn't falling any further. I'm still on the 1,500 calories a day target and exercising hard. What can I do to break through this barrier? My weekly exercise targets are 28 miles walking, 2 hours 30 weight training and 3 hours exercise bike, these targets have risen slowly but steadily throughout the process.0

I am a mid-60's woman trying to lose about 20 pounds. I never seem to get enough protein, and love carbs too much. What is a healthy protein snack? My cravings are salt and crunchy foods.0

I've attained my goal! How do I meal plan to ensure I don't regain the weight I worked so hard to remove? I'm over 65, vegan, and used intermittent fasting. I've trained myself to drink coffee until noon and eat my first meal shortly after noon. I work out 5 days a week and hope to make strength training a goal for the year. I've conquered cardio. I am not averse to protein powder (in my coffee, or added to a meal). I'd love to learn to use macros, but not certain how to begin.1

Do you have suggestions on managing diverticulitis and losing weight?0

What is considered too much protein? Are there any risks with eating too much protein? Should I increase protein on weight lifting days? How about cardio days (running for over an hour, or so)?
Is it healthy to eat 3 eggs everyday? Is the cholesterol in eggs correlated to the cholesterol in blood?
I'm 5'6" at 164lbs and consume between 160-200 grams a day depending on my activity. I'm losing weight as planned, with a goal weight of 150-155lbs.
My diet is designed to lose 2lbs or more a week, with 45% protein, 35% fat, 20% net carbs.0 -
What dietary requirements would you suggest for a highly inflamed auto immune body? It seems carbs help with gastric issues whereas carbs make inflammation worse elsewhere. How do I strike a balance and remain healthy without exacerbating symptoms?0

I am very addicted to sweets. I crave sweets after meals and in the evening hours! 😩 Please Help!1

Are artificial sweeteners really that bad for you, assuming moderation? I know some make me gassy, but hear from everyone and their mothers how terrible they are, and I haven't found much to support that other than "they might make you hungrier/crave more".0

I am 32 years old and need to lose weight from 82 kg, to around 60 kg, so 20 kg
I am starting a gym program and working on a calorie deficit, how would my macros look like?
I will start on 1200 / 1400 calories. Thank you0 -
Post menopause and struggling to get rid of belly fat ! I workout with peloton and weight training 6 days a week . Idk what to do ??0

I see that there are a few questions already about eating enough proteins without blowing up carbs and fat - I have that same issue. I have also been working out alot - eating clean foods just less than 2000 cals per day but weight loss is minimal. I am now looking closer at macros. How important is that in conjunction with watching calorie intake?0
-
I have been eating at a deficit for awhile now. I have successfully lost 140lbs! While not yet to my goal weight (15 lbs to go), about 6 weeks ago I added 50 calories per day with the goal to slowly increase my intake while maintaining my weight or even continuing to lose. But what I've found is that I'm just maintaining. Have I not given it long enough? Is there another way for me to do this? I am a 42 year old woman with PCOS.0

I’m in perimenopause and feel I eat fairly healthy, but I constantly feel like I’m bloated, especially in the morning. Wondering if adding a probiotic to my daily routine would help with this and if so what kind?0

Should I be concerned about low triglycerides? My normal values are around 40. Due to dry eye, it's been recommended that I take fish oil supplements. However, when I do, my triglycerides drop closer to 30 (which flags as too low on my blood work). My total cholesterol, HDL, glucose, etc are all in healthy ranges. I'm 57 and at a normal BMI. I'm a pescatarian, but I eat vegetarian 19-20 meals weekly.0

What are your thoughts on intermittent fasting and/or two/three-day fasting? I am on a reduced carb diet since January, I have lost >10kg - do you have any suggestions on how I can reduce the intense cravings I often experience? Thanks!0

Hi, what are the benefits of intermittent fasting to eating breakfast or vice versa. Does eating breakfast kick start your metabolism? Is it better to eat every 2 or so hours as opposed to 3 meals a day…. I’m not looking at loosing weight but maintaining it…. Struggling with getting rid of lower belly fat though.0

I have been on a weight loss journey for 10 months and have lost 63 lbs. For the last month, I've fallen down and have been having unbelievable sweet cravings. Can you tell me how to get off this Rollercoaster and get back on track? I still have about 25-30 lbs to lose. Thanks!0

I have GERD. Some of my triggers are fatty foods and meat, even lean meat. My doctor has also told me losing weight would help. I’ve worked with a dietician, who advised me to increase my protein but suggestions were lean meats and nuts. I could really use some suggestions for proteins that aren’t meat based or high in fat.0

Wow. You sure have your work cut out for you Stephanie. I may of had a question but after seeing how many posts you'll have to answer I'm just going to say that I hope you have a safe and healthy rest of the year.2

and have moderate/severe Osteoarthritis in both knees. What are some good exercises that will help with muscle building and weight loss but won't negatively impact my Knees?0 -
I’ve recently been diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease. I’m still trying to figure out what causes my excess gas in my tummy plus foods that trigger inflammation as well. What are some foods I need to stay away from so these things don’t come to bay? I know onions, broccoli, cauliflower, oats are some that I can’t eat. Any advice?0
