Called myself on the telephone
Just to see if I was home.
Made a date for half past eight,

Got so fresh I slapped my face!

Bought some roses at the store.

It's almost time for Cinderella to come home from the fancy ball. I was just milling around and shooting the breeze with myself.
No Easter Egg Hunt in Italy and no dumb bunny. I just read all about it. We don't really have one, either.

This makes me think of 'cracker barrel' joints. Have you ever been to one of those. It's a cornbread and fried chicken kind of place. We don't have one for 100's of miles but this poem makes me think of the rocking chairs out on the front porch. I don't know if it's Pasqua but I can't shake it off. I wish I was at your house. I'd just lay down on the floor and roll around. Cold marble floors might straighten me back UP. Don't ask me why. I just want to howl like a dog. I would feel better if we could go for a walk at your park. Paw used to say, why so melancholy..with heads like melons and faces like collies.
