Same issue on Android.
Cannot sync MFP app with website.
Can sync between Garmin Connect (steps and exercise) but have to log out of MFP app and log in again. IDGAF about that though, I want MFP calories in the Garmin Connect app, for that to work MFP app needs to be able to sync with its own servers which it is failing to do!0 -
Started using MFP yesterday, worked at first, broken within hours.
Same issue as others have described, unable to sync MFP data from android app to the website, which means Garmin Connect is out of sync (it can sync but there is no data to fetch!)
MFP app will not pick up steps or exercise captured by Garmin Connect until I log out of MFP app and log in again, but there is no workaround for sync between MFP app and website!
Is MFP often this broken, would rather not use it at all if this is the way it usually is, in addition to that there seems to be nothing but silence from MFP on this issue.
This is a new problem in the last couple of days (+1, I cannot log food on the website, and the app does not sync with the website at this time).
MFP, fix it, please. The entire functionality of your app/website is down.1 -
I too have had these same issues and if I am reading correctly it sounds as though it's a tech issue that will be worked on this next week? sigh...I really hate not being able to track my food etc. Also found I couldn't chat with my friends in groups, I can see that they posted but their post won't pull up. Really hope this is resolved soon.0

Not working for me either. Can't log in food. Will find the food, but can't add.
1 -
Yep. It's not working AT ALL. I can see food, but can't log.2
-
I can't complete the day every time I push to close out day it says dismiss, and go to main server. Last 2 days are not completed0
-
Same here. This is the second day I can't complete the day. App tells me to go to the website. Website didn't sync and shows duplicate entries. This is frustrating. I never had a problem when I started using MFP free app 8 years ago. Just decided to pay premium membership this month... then this?!?0
-
Same here, MFP app isn't syncing with MFP site and also isn't syncing with my Fitbit either. I'm on android.0

It’s been more than a week and I am still having this problem.
I select a food, it says Food Logged, but my diary is blank.
What gives, MFP????0 -
I’m getting the same error the last few days.1

Not being able to add a new recipe is driving me mad. Have spent at least an hour this pm looking for alternative apps. Anyone got any ideas please?0
-
Hi there,
I tried saving some foods several times, to no avail. A pop up error appears, it states a message has been sent to my fitness pal administrator.
I greatly appreciate any feedback.
Thank you.

I tried making a recipe and kept saying an error code so I deleted the app and now it’s not letting me back into my account. Is anyone else having the same problem, I really hope this gets fixed very soon

I’m getting an error when trying to save my recipes. Something about unrecognized domain. Any idea?0

I have uninstalled and reinstalled both apps, deleted caches and data (and lost ALL MY DATA on MFP while doing so, not on desktop version but on app), but still - it shows the steps i have done today that are recorded through samsung health, but the steps dont count as exercise anymore.
Problems started yesterday after i tried to create a custom recipe.
How0 -
Sorry, i cut myself off. How will it be okay again?0

Hey all, just wanted to let you know we are very aware of this issue and actively working on it.
To quote our help article... this is what we're seeing:Our apologies for the trouble creating and managing food related items and data sync right now. We saw this issue arise around 10am PST on Friday, April 22nd.
Current symptoms include, but are not limited to the following:
- Web
- inability to create a new food item or edit an existing food item in our database
- inability to create or edit a My Meal, My Food, or Recipe
- inability to add to diary via the Quick Add feature
- inability to complete diary
- iOS/Android
- inability to create or edit Recipes
- recipes, foods, meals, and other account data not visible in app after a reinstall
- syncing trouble - members may experience issues with data sync.
- If members create new food, a meal, or use quick add on their account, these newly created items will be stored locally on their device, and will not sync to other platforms (like the website), until this issue is resolved.
- while the services that support syncing data to partners are not affected, the sync issues affecting the app are affecting data syncing from the app to our backend servers. This in turn may result in data not reaching linked partners (e.g. Fitbit, Garmin, etc) & vice versa.
- inability to complete diary
- inability to login - these members can still access their account via the website
- iOS - some members receiving a server error. this seems to manifest after experiencing a crash when editing/creating a recipe, or after one logs out or reinstalls the app. We released a fix to prevent users from getting into this state, but accounts already in this corrupt state prior to the fix who haven't yet logged out/reinstalled may still experience this issue.
- Android - some members receiving a ""Registration of new MyFitnessPal accounts is not available in your location" error when trying to log in, and their account may show as a local account.
There is no workaround at this time to get these food items created or edited. We do not recommend resintalling the app at this time, as it will not resolve the issues mentioned above, and may result in additional issues due to the trouble with sync.
Our team identified the cause Friday afternoon and worked through out Friday and Saturday to get the necessary migration work in place to address to start addressing the root cause. This migration has made a lot of progress throughout sunday and monday, and finished Tuesday afternoon. Our team spent Tuesday updating our services to support the database changes that have been made after the completion of the migration. We completed what we could that would have no additional user impact during the day when the majority of our members are online and logging. Tuesday evening, from roughly 8pm-12am PST, we upgraded the rest of the services, which resulted in MFP being mostly unavailable both in the apps and on the website during this window. We had one outlying update that caused a small subset of users to experience downtime symptoms until the update fully completed at 2:15am PST.
Now that this work from the downtime is completed, and the updates to our services have finished, members will still be experiencing the known symptoms in the bulleted list at the top of this article. Throughout today, our team is working on and planning to deploy the necessary code changes to start resolving these symptoms our members are experiencing. We anticipate to be doing this throughout the entire day Wednesday.
We will continue to update this article as more information becomes available. Please check back for further updates.
Any updates or progress will be updated here: https://support.myfitnesspal.com/hc/en-us/articles/5716717249933
We hope to have this fixed ASAP! Thank you so much for hanging in there while we get this one fixed!!7 -
I tried to add and modify a recipe today, and it won't let me save it. Keeps showing an error. Do you know why?1
-
This is so frustrating. I can't log anything that I haven't already eaten in the last two weeks. I'm trying to be creative and log random stuff that adds up to about the calories I believe I ate. Mscros will be all off. I hope this is fixed soon.1
-
It's unbelievable it takes so long. A lot of people are depending on MFP. Like me. I'm afraid I can't track my macro's this way.0
-
I’ve tried to create a recipe several times and keep getting some kind of error message. It doesn’t show up in my recipes either.0
-
Me too. Has anyone heard if MFP is working on it?0
-
I’m at my wits end. Have used (and relied upon) MyFitnessPal for years without issues. Have been a premium member for several years.
Several months ago, I started noticing a weird bug where my meals were not consistent across devices. Meals I created on my iPad would be missing items when trying to add things from my iPhone for example.
That was annoying enough, but the product was still usable. Now it no longer is - my diary has simply stopped syncing, meaning the entire app is completely useless to my life on the go.
Things I add on one device do not reliably show on my others. Limiting my usage to only one device is not an option.
The only fix I can find is to delete the app and resintall it. Then it will sync once but if I add something again, it won’t sync and I have to delete it and reinstall again. I’m obviously not going to do that for every single entry.
Running the latest versions of iOS on all devices and latest versions of the app.
Not sure why I pay for an app at this point that can’t even perform its basic functions.1 -
4 times now I have tried to create a recipe and each time when I get to the save and log part it comes back with an error box. Really frustrated! Grrrr.0
-
Update: Uninstalling and reinstalling the app is no longer working. Between my 3 devices, nothing will actually update in terms of my diary. The product has turned completely useless.
I can’t believe I’m paying for a premium subscription for a product that has started to fail to even provide its basic free features.1 -
Me too. Hope this get fixed soon!!!!0
-
It is still doing it today. Hope by Monday all is fixed.0
