I'm hoping it's okay to join in here (again, for like my 50th time). I usually join, then halfway thru the month I stop. Why? Lack of discipline. I know what I need to do to lose weight. I got down to 195 a few months ago but I've put 5lbs back on because I've lost motivation and gotten lazy. I haven't completely stopped logging but I've gotten very lackadaisical these last couple months which resulted in the above mentioned weight gain.
I want to lose weight for myself and my health (I've already seen a 30pt drop in my cholesterol. Went from 180 to 150) but I just can't keep motivated. My husband managed to lose 70lbs in 7 months just by watching what he eats and walking (we use a food scale). I managed to lose 25lbs. We were walking daily but now that he's where he wants to be and maintaining, he's not walking anymore. That and we live in the desert and it's getting hot. Close to 110s this weekend, so that makes it hard to get out and go.
June Goals
🌼 Treadmill for at least 15 min a day starting today (I did 60min to get to my 10k steps)
🌸 Log all food as I have been
🌻 At least 6k steps while at work. The remaining I'll get from the treadmill.
🌷 Do better on the weekends! The weekends are the hardest for me and are usually when I bomb.
I'll weigh in on Mondays with the hope that knowing I've got to weigh in will keep me accountable over the weekend.
I'm not giving up!
I'm not sure if its' the same for you, but I figured out the reason that stops me from showing up for myself, I feel I don't deserve it and I have this sense that loads more people have the same thing. I think we label ourselves as lazy, but we might actually be burnt out, or stuck in a place where we don't feel we "deserve" to invest in ourselves. Or else things feel hopeless. I could be way off here. Said I'd mention it in case it resonates.6 -
Hi everyone, need your help. My food scale completely died, it’s not turning on even after putting in brand new batteries. I am looking for a new one. Can you please recommend a brand that is good?
This is the one I have. It goes negative and has a capacity up to 22lb.

It's my birthday and I've officially hit the -69lb mark! Reaching that nice round 70 by the end of the month feels extremely doable. My sister sent me a Lularoe dress with a really cute ladybug print that is a little snug in the shoulders and bust but it's just so dang cute that I'm making it work today. I'm attempting a little bit of a fast - I have a burrito on the menu for breakfast today but I'm planning to eat it when I get to work, and I've left out a few of the snacks I normally bring with my lunch, to save room for a delicious dinner and a couple of delicious beers tonight.4 -
Good morning! We are back from our trip to the waterpark hotel and the girls had a BLAST. However, I woke up this morning feeling pretty rough. Took an at home test and it's Covid positive. So..... fun times.
I'll take time to read everything posted and catch up later but right now I'm trying to catch up on work emails and not fall back to sleep.

I really enjoyed reading all your posts.
@sargemarcori I love your mantra. I almost want to adopt it too since for me it would be even sillier.
Join me!
@Making_Impossible_Possible Ryann, twenty-five pounds is nothing to sneeze at! You've done amazing things--give yourself that credit! I know the perils of comparison--last time I lost weight, it was 8-10 pounds a month. This time I'm struggling to drop 2 a month, doing things exactly the same stuff as far as I can tell. (Hey, did y'all know MFP doesn't keep your food diary forever? I didn't!)
I'm going to echo the others about habits--motivation comes and goes. it is not a moral failing! Society likes to pretend losing weight is easy, just a matter of deciding to do it, but if it were, there wouldn't be such an industry around it. But if you can build some habits...then even when you stumble, you can get back on track easier. I'd say look around the boards for things that might work for you. Food prep? an exercise buddy? Intermittent fasting? Keto? Different things help different people. What worked for the hubby may not work for you, and THAT'S OKAY (though annoying.)
Are you by chance in Southern Arizona? bc SAME on the weather! I took my dog for a walk Monday and decided I'm not doing that again for a few months. Instead I'm going to try alternating the gym and the pool. Luckily my city has the pools free this year.
Also seconding @porquenoirl --it helps if you can believe you are WORTH the effort. Dunno if that's part of your issue, but I know I did have to decide I'm more than a garbage can. (see prior posts. )
@NoNameWonder hiiiii!!!
@goal06082021 hurray for your cute dress!! Happy Birthday!
@pamperedlinny oof! Take care of yourself!
go, @kenziestabes , go!! And share a pic of your pup??
good progress, @_manny_702!
I'm proud of myself, because I decided Monday to go to the pool after work Tuesday and I *did.* because I get off at 4:30 and the pool closes at 6, I brought my stuff to work. It was awkward, changing at work and then wearing my swimsuit, coverup, and flip-flops out the front door, but that was what I did (so I could leave my other stuff in the car, not the locker room at a public pool...) The pool I meant to go to was closed, so I went to a different one. I was not defeated!
Tonight the plan is dinner when I get home, online meeting from 6-8, then I'm going to take myself to the gym for a bit. Thinking of the nice ice cold AC and how empty it will be at 8 o'clock...

Yesterday I had a special service I was singing and cantoring in so I was nervous. My exercise was walking and standing talking to an arborist around my yard for more than an hour. So Monday was productive and today I plan a productive day again. Hope to get in a long walk and other self-care in as well. I have a job application to do today too. I went to a bakery cafe this morning to journal and get organized. It was a nice break. Brought back my youngest 2/3 of the small quiche because I know they love quiche.
@_manny_702 nice progress.
@pamperedinny oh no! I hope it goes like those I know who got it recently with only 2 bad days and then start to feel better. Take care.
@goal0682021 Happy Birthday! 70 lbs off here you come. Enjoy your dinner tonight!
@CupcakeCrusoe glad the gym works so well and you got what you needed to continue working out. My app shows all my weight since I started on it. I can zoom into the last few weeks or where ever I want on the graph too. There are probably better ones out there but this works for me.
@Making_Impossible_Possible I know posting here and participating on this thread helps me but I had a hiatus on here late last year. I was able to lose very slowly though. I have been logging on MFP so long I have a sense of what I can eat but if I want to be sure of losing I have to log and posting here helps me track other health goals. Walking is so good whether you need to lose of not but I would have a hard time walking in the dessert too. I think you can get back to where you were soon and continue on.
Happy Hump day! (Remember I am unemployed right now)7 -

Hey, a loss is a loss! I don't remember who pointed it out or when, so please claim credit if I'm quoting you, but there is no such thing as a false low. The scale might show high for a few days after a hard workout, a salty meal, a long trip, your period if that's something your body does - it's water, water comes and goes. We're not worried about water. But when that number drops again, if you've been doing everything right (logging accurately, moving as much as you need to, sticking to your plan), that downward change DOES represent a genuine loss, not just water fluctuating like water does. Just gotta keep your nose to the grindstone and trust the process.8 -
I'll have to see if I can upload a more up to date pic of her soon. She's my profile picture, though!

@sargemarcori - Im in Southern Nevada. I'm not ready for the heat yet!
I already kind of intermittent fast, usually don't eat until 130 in the afternoon with the exception of a fairlife vanilla protein shake with 6oz of cold brew to make and iced coffee. So it's a very dirty fast but that drink will last me from 830 when I start work until the end of the day. I've tried keto but just can't seem to stick with it. I do meal prep but lunches usually consist of salads I make at home (50/50 spring mix, raw pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries, crispy onion, cucumber, avocado, and mozzarella pearls, plus balsamic dressing) mini sweet peppers with whipped cream cheese and everything but the bagel seasoning and a Greek yogurt.
Habit building is hard. I did manage to walk on the treadmill last night for 60min and disliked every second of it, but I did it!
@CupcakeCrusoe -Thank you! I'm gonna make a habit to check this everyday. I check other social media everyday, why not this one?
@porquenoirl - I think that may be part of my issue. I feel like my self esteem is low. I know I deserve and am worth the effort to lose weight, but lately I feel like I'm in a hole I cannot get out of. I feel like I have a few good days and make a little progress then I have a "bad" weekend and it blows up any progress I'd made. Then I get bummed cause I know the only person's fault it is, is my own. Then I get revved up to be better and then mess it all up again.
--‐
Today I woke up and was lighter than I was the day before. Yes, I weigh everyday. I've tried to only weigh once a week but I just can't do it. Then we ended up having Chinese food for dinner. That's not what I had planned for the night but MIL called and asked if we wanted to eat with her. So I ended up having hot and sour soup, mongolian beef and fried rice. Now, I didn't eat all the rice, I really only ate about half. I did eat all the beef and then some of the onions and green onions that was cooked with it. So while I did eat out, I feel okay about it because I didn't eat the whole container like I would have been able to in the past. But if dinner wasn't enough we went and had frozen yogurt with my BIL,SIL and nephews. I got a coconut flavor and added berries and then walnuts. So I guess I could say I made it "healthier".
Good news is I didn't let my bad eating ruin my walk on the treadmill tonight. Tonight I did 40 minutes. Yesterday I did 60. My time on the treadmill is basically however long it takes me to get to 10k steps with the least amount of time being 30min.
Tomorrow's a new day and I'll get back up and try to be better.8 -
Good morning everyone!
189 today, but I worked hard at the gym and didn't get enough sleep. c'est la vie. Hopefully in time for Friday, I'll get enough sleep and not be sore for weigh in, that would be cool.
Yesterday we did a chair routine to God is a Woman by Ariana Grande, which was a great workout, and I worked on some things I hadn't done before on the pole, which hurt, lol, but not the bad hurt. I wore one of my sports bras by itself for a top, and the world didn't end, imagine that.
My pole shoes came! I'm so excited to play around with them, they're so pretty.
Again I have no idea what I'm making for dinner tonight, lol. Maybe bean cheese burritos? Last night was maple dijon chicken I had prepped in a freezer bag, then just dumped in the crock pot day-of, with some purple cauliflower from the garden and some princess shaped mac and cheese for the girls.
I'll get to tags in a little bit, time to go to work! To be continued!
6 -
Tag party!
@NoNameWonder Thank you you, too, are doing great, just by being here and engaging with us.
@porquenoirl oof, stops me from showing up for myself, I feel I don't deserve it... we label ourselves as lazy, but we might actually be burnt out
I totally felt that way for a long time. Like. I figured I sucked, and the only way not to suck was to do stuff for everybody else but me. Eventually all that did was make me miserable, dreading each day, and hiding from my family to sit and be numb, not engaging with them, because I couldn't imagine doing even one more thing at the end of a long day of cooking and cleaning and fetching and etc etc...
The one good thing that came out of 2020 was the emphasis on self-care. That slog was unsustainable when we were at home full-time. As soon as I made taking care of myself a priority, I had more energy for my family, I felt better, I had things to look forward to. I didn't mind doing things for my family, because I knew I could block out time for myself, instead of an endless slog of doing things for family before passing out and getting up to do it all again.
@goal06082021 HAPPY BIRTHDAY (belated)! 🎉🎊
@pamperedlinny Sorry to hear you've got COVID! Take it easy on yourself and heal up. I'm glad to hear the girls had a good time.
@kenziestabes Aww, I'm sure your pup is very happy. You made good progress on a lot of your goals, and I love how you make sure you go over them.
@_manny_702 wow, look at you go!
@sargemarcori it's so hard sometimes to make it to the gym to do a workout after a long day, and you did it, well done. I especially find it's hard to go out so late (8! yikes!) so I hope to hear that you did do it, because I love that for you.
@jerms9 Hi! trust the lows! You did lose 4 lbs, even if it wasn't all this week. You're seeing it this week, so it exists.
@KeriA oh wow, cantoring is high stress! I'm sure you did a great job, though! I love hanging out in a cafe. Maybe I'll do that sometime this weekend... I hope your job application goes quicker than the last, haha!
@ruperthumphrey Hi! Tell us about yourself, we'd love to get to know you, too!
@Making_Impossible_Possible That salad sounds amazing, and the peppers, even better.
Part of losing weight is figuring out how you're going to handle the rest of your life after losing weight. Your night of chinese and fro-yo is just practice for the rest of your life, and you did admirably!
Have a great day, everyone!6 -
Morning all! I've been hanging out at 240 and change all week, which is a little annoying after having dipped into the 230s last week, but I've been starting to strength train as well which I LOVE. I have been doing HASfit videos on YouTube. They have such a wide variety of videos, and I love that I can choose ones that are 10-15 minutes and focus on specific areas. Last night I did an arm video using dumbbells and then a bodyweight thigh/butt video, and WHOO I felt the burn from that one! I think it says something when I woke up this morning and thought "Ooh, what video am I going to do today?"
Hope you all have a great day. We're almost to Friday!9 -
Morning everyone!
I've been MIA this week - just started a new medication that's leaving me feeling all sorts of ways. Plus my back twinged Monday evening so I've been dealing with resting that up. I've learned if I push it, I end up unable to walk/move/do anything, so really need to focus on recovery.
The scale's been all over the place. Part of me just wants to give up, but even though my progress has slowed, I'm still generally losing. It's just taking a freaking long time.8 -
Ladies, I broke into the 180s this morning! 189.8! Only 15.5 pounds until I am a healthy BMI, 23pounds until I have lost 80 total pounds and I will have a BMI of 24, my goal.
I also just realized it's 17 weeks until my friend's wedding and if I can maintain a loss of over half a pound per week, I could be under 180 by then. Heck, if I could lose at a rate of 0.6 pounds a week, I could be a healthy BMI by Christmas! Oh, that's an exciting thought. I'll need to take advantage of Black Friday sales to get clothes that fit well. Maybe ask for underwear and clothes for Christmas.12 -

I feel you. So much. This morning I got back down to a weight I first saw at the end of April and I wanted to scream. But! I'm still recovering from my fall (still have bruises, scabs, and twinges of pain!) and also I've been eating turkey lunch meat for dinner every night, so I *know* my sodium is higher than usual. We'll see what happens tomorrow...
Even if my weight is up, I'm not giving up, though! I'm doing it for the camels.
@JAC581 that does sound awesome! I will check it out.
@CupcakeCrusoe I did not make it to the gym, my daughter who has mental health issues was having a rough night, so I stayed with her. I could not tell her last night, but today I told her that she blew my gym plan, and next time I'll just take her with. (Planting the idea... ) Tonight, though, we have a plan to go swimming.
@Making_Impossible_Possible that's the stuff! Life is learning. Every day, learning to do this thing better, and hopefully enjoying the process.5 -

I have been a bit frustrated lately since my weight has been hovering at 183 +/- 2lbs for the last three months and I have been having trouble getting out of the stall. Well, my wife and I joined a local sports club last week and have been playing racquetball, doing water zumba, yoga and having a blast. Today she suggested taking progress photos so we can track changes with a more active lifestyle and I was blown away. I am constantly evaluating my changing appearance in the mirror but somehow seeing the pictures still shocked me! I was even so proud of our changes that when my wife suggested posting the comparison photo on Facebook I agreed (a NSV in itself because I usually hate posting photos and this one was even makeup free).
Even when you may not feel like you are making progress, stay the course! Use measurement and pictures to remind yourself how far you have come!12 -
Yay! I got in my walk yesterday thanks to my youngest. I had a long to do list yesterday. I completed my last job search activity. I got a lot done but had my walk and making Drs appointments left but it was time to make dinner. Fortunately after dinner my youngest asked if I wanted to go with them for a walk. I said yes! It was even a step longer than Mondays walk. So today I will go get some artichoke hearts for our dinner tonight an Artichoke heart, chicken bake with spinach. I wasn’t able to put them on the grocery order since I wanted frozen ones. I will put it in the oven before the Jan 6 Hearings start at 5 Pacific time (8 PM Eastern). My husband will pick up my youngest from Sound Transit for me. I dropped them off this morning. One of my tasks yesterday was to listen to the service on-line and the singing was good but I didn’t like it when they zoomed in on me. More motivation to lose that weight.
@CupcakeCrusoe I didn’t get enough sleep last night either. I keep forgetting that I have to get up earlier on Tuesday and Thursday to get my youngest to Sound Transit. They work in the office 2 days a week not because they have to but because they find with their ADHD it helps keep them stay more productive not only the days at the office but the ones after being in the office.
@Making_Impossible_Possible yes I agree with @CupcakeCrusoe the best way to lose weight is to do it in a sustainable manner. Do it like it is going to last a life time and we are going to go out with family once in a while. Even after we lose it makes sense to maintain our new weight. Maintaining our weight takes about the same as losing. It is just a bit easier by about a few hundred calories. If we have upped our exercise like you are doing that will help too.
@JAC581 I think it does say something that you are looking forward to the strength training. I love that they are short. I remember whenever I started out to go get some exercise my body would give me a quiet Yes! like it knew I was committed to go and it was celebrating. I don’t get those this time around but I try to find a way to celebrate when I exercise by putting it down in my bullet journal, spreadsheet and on MFP.
@seltzer_lover take care. Losing slow or even maintaining a new low has real benefits. I am trying to get to a little faster weight loss but until I do I am glad I am at least losing and improving my fitness with exercise. I think I can get back to trying strength training again now that my wrist is better. Hope you feel better soon.
@kenziestabes Yay! That is exciting!9 -
@sandielewis2001 Holy moly, what a transformation! You both look amazing!
That's got to be so nice when you can go on this journey with your partner. My boyfriend and I will be moving in together in a couple of months, and I'm trying to convince him to do strength training with me (he did a long, long time ago before we knew each other). This should be interesting as far as food/nutrition because he and I have very different diets and eating patterns.7 -
Today I managed to do a bridge in pilates class! I don't even care if my weight is up or down, I am so exciting and happy and proud. I knew from my deadlifts and knee raises and ski machine times that my arms and core had gotten stronger and I've been obsessed with how my arms and shoulders look and feel for close to a month now but this little achievement really painted the picture I needed to see how far I've come.
And this is how my weightloss journey started. It was never about losing weight but about fitness goals. 6 months ago I could not do a bridge, my arms simply couldn't lift even that portion of my weight. Even my head barely managed for a few seconds back then. But today on my first attempt I held for at least 5 seconds and then on my second attempt we were supposed to do 10 seconds but I wasn't counting. It felt like I could hold the position forever. I feel so good right now.
I'm still gonna keep logging and eating when I'm hungry and staying below maintenance but I feel like I can let go of the pressure that had been building lately. Idk where it came from but I'm glad it's gone.
Also really great to read about all the NSVs and scale victories today! Great job!10 -
Happy Thursday! I've read everything but having some issues with staying focused so I'm not going to do a tag party right now. My doctor perscribed me Paxlovid for my Covid symptoms. Because I'm diabetic and obese I'm high risk for complications... I'm happy for the rx but I still feel like I need a new doctor. She wants to write a script for EVERYTHING even when I don't actually need one. So it's good today but most of the time it's an annoyance.
Here's the thing.... I'm quarantined in my bedroom with attached bathroom. I usually do all the cooking and shopping for our family. My husband is not to be trusted with cooking (seriously) and our microwave is broken right now. He refuses to figure out the air fryer, pressure cooker or anything else that he doesn't already know how to work. My diet and exercise controlled diabetes is going to be haywire by the time I'm out. He's brought me spaghetti, pancakes and PB&J. I'm so thankful he's feeding our child, himself and me. I'm so thankful to know that the basics are handled. But if I check my fasting number in the morning and it's insanely high I'm going to have a come to Jesus talk with him. I can eat like that maybe once a week.... not daily for a week. He's going to legit kill me. LOL.

@goal06082021 that dress sounds so darn cute! I can't wait to start fitting back into some cute stuff!
@pamperedlinny oh no, swift healing! Hope it doesn't hit too hard - just read your update on your hubby cooking, oh no (lol) I also hope he figures some stuff out for you soon! My fella used to chef but I totally do the cooking, he has gotten into the habit of feeding me fish and chips, so we've kinda done our own thing recently with food, but I also don't have children or covid. Wish I could go cook for you for a bit! I swear I could airfry the world! :P
@kenziestabes omg I'm also trying to clean a little bit every day....I'm doing better on making time for hobbies instead :P - just read your update on 180s, WHOOOOPPPPPP
@sargemarcori whoop whoop! Yeah for the pool! (our pool is currently having renovations and I'm seriously missing it!)
@jerms9 yeah for the woosh!
@Making_Impossible_Possible ya, I think it's so common, the "not feeling worthy" issue. I've been listening to more Gabor Mate the past few days and it helps me to realise how common it is and to reframe how I feel about myself. I def see my health journey as including my self image and mental health. I do have other stuff going on, so some of my advice might not be a good fit but I started (finally) doing TRE exercises this evening. TRE = Trauma Releasing Exercises, they say it's good for general stress, not necessarily trauma. I will say it was both a workout (I'm pretty unfit) and I tremored a bit and feel a bit lighter after it. I know all the somatic stuff has helped me so much, it's like as I've released some of the stress stored in my body my mind has come along for the ride too. Oh, and that food sounds amazing, I ended up amazing some amazing Nepalese food on Monday, do not regret a moment of it! lol (but me in the past would have, so work done, more to do!).
@CupcakeCrusoe your pole adventures sound so adventuresome! I saw a routine on a FB reel the other evening, so darned impressive! Gave me the want to dance (I haven't danced in so so long). Enjoy the new shoes!
@seltzer_lover oh take care, I've tried to push myself through injuries and it didn't go well. I've had to remind myself that taking care of myself is solid health progress. Oh and watching funny animal clips on YT, also great for the health!
@sandielewis2001 omg I teared up a little with joy seeing your progress pics! AMAZING! I'm so bloody inspired, seriously other folks progress is keeping me going through so much of this!
@JAC581 my OH loves his weights, but I did get him back into running (I still can't really run, I walk-jog, but he's been keeping me company, i.e. running laps around me! lol, but I don't mind, glad of the company!)
@bojaantje3822 whoop whoop bridges! Ya the nsv are amazing!

Well I made it to 3 days in a row walking! Today I did 30min even though I wanted to stop at 15. Yesterday I did 40min as I had ti get to 10k steps. Tuesday I did 60min but I had a very slow and therefore low step count day at work so I had to work a little harder to get to the 10k steps.
Ate well today too. So hopefully the "2.5 lbs" I was up this morning from last night's Chinese will be gone here soon. I manage to drink roughly a gallon of water a day anyways so hopefully that helps.
@pamperedlinny I hope you feel better soon and have that talk with your husband!
@bojaantje3822 - Congratulations! Proof hard work pays off!
@sandielewis2001 - you two are amazing!
@seltzer_lover - Don't give up! I feel your frustration. I've been all over scale wise lately and it's really bumming me out, but I just keep going! Hopefully you'll get used to or find an alternative for your med so you, and your back feel better.5 -
Good morning everyone!
189.6 today, which is annoying, for weigh in day. But I've been keeping track of my calories, I'm still sore from Wednesday, and I certainly haven't gained 2 lbs in three days, so we'll keep on keeping on. As they say, if you're tired of starting over, stop giving up.

Yesterday, I picked up my baby from school, and ate her lunch on my way back to work after I dropped her off at daycare. Probably shouldn't have, but I logged it all faithfully, and I ended the day below 1800 calories. Could've been less, I could have pivoted and had an egg white omlette for dinner to make up for it, but.. didn't. So that's fine.
Today, I've got everything I'm going to eat logged down to the gram, including a beer, ice cream, pizza panini and air fried potatoes for me while my family eats pizza. I'll be eating almost 1000 of my calories after work today, lol. But it will be very worth it.
For work, I've got my normal apple and egg whites with deli chicken for breakfast, and chicken and cherry tomatoes from our garden for lunch. I'm trying out a PEScience chocolate peanut butter cup protein bar this afternoon, we'll see if they're any good. They're higher calorie than my quest bars, and less protein. But if they taste good...
Saturday I'm taking TRX, which is a workout suspended from the ceiling! I'm excited to see what that's like. And I'm taking pole control, a strength class with a pole, which is probably going to be rough, lol. If I want to do impressive things on the pole, I have to build up those muscles.

@JAC581 Oooh, nice! I love that you wake up looking forward to your workout, that's great! It is so hard to plan your meals around someone whose goals aren't yours- I'm in a house full of people who aren't eating like I am, and that's a good thing for them , but it does make things harder for me. Lots of temptations around.
@seltzer_lover Slow loss and maintenance of loss is better than gain. You're learning how to maintain your new body before continuing on, that's all. Recovery is most important.
@kenziestabes WOOOO Way to go! This is great news!
@sargemarcori life gets in the way, I totally get it. Good for you for making a new plan when the last one fell through.I'm not giving up, though! I'm doing it for the camels.
@sandielewis2001 Girl. Giiiiirl. Damn girl. Looking great! And also, you seem to be sticking in the 181 area! You go! You and your wife have both done amazing.
@KeriA Your day sounded idyllic- lots of walks, nice dinner, and checked your job search stuff off your list. It's so hard to remember that sleep matters so much- I know when my life gets wild, sleep is the first thing to go out the window.
@bojaantje3822 You did a bridge! That's great! I love hearing workout NSVs.
@pamperedlinny Your husband either needs to level up his cooking or outsource for a little while, woof. Whatsisface does not cook, but he does know how to do the basics- mac and cheese, hot dogs, sandwiches, frozen food in the air fryer, and going out to the store or restaurant to get food, lol. And air fryers are so easy! He needs to get it together, lol. I hope you continue to improve, and get better soonest.
@porquenoirl I know, the girls in class (they call all of us "hotgirls" which I love) are all very inspirational, doing all these wild spins around the pole. Looking forward to looking that impressive myself.
Also, Nepalese food, yummmm
@Making_Impossible_Possible walking is such an underrated exercise. I love that you're achieving your goals in that department.
It's Friday, almost there! Have a great day, everyone!3 -
@pamperedlinny I hope he adjusts things for you. It is good he is doing what is needed but I understand your frustration too. Hugs 💗 Hope you feel better really quickly!!!3

@sandielewis2001 - You and your wife are looking AMAZING!!! Congrats on doing this together and having fun while doing it!!
@pamperedlinny - Hopefully you can have some real talk to get your food situation resolved. How hard is it to bake some chicken and veggies? Or make a tasty salad?
@CupcakeCrusoe - We use the TRX straps at Orangetheory and I love them!
Thanks for all the support. The first 6 months of weight loss were just so freaking easy. Moderately lowered my calories, worked out at OTF a few times per week, and the weight just fell off. Now it's this sort of miserable long slog.
But I'm still losing, even if it's not at the pace I'd like.
I did have an NSV yesterday - OTF has a workout called "Catch Me If You Can" and at different times you have to have reached certain distances to be "safe" and keep going. It's designed to catch you at some point, unless you're a gazelle. I beat my previous distance by .7 miles! I held a speed that felt scary to me mentally for a full ten minutes. And next time I'll be able to hit that mile at minute ten and make it to the 12 minute checkpoint.
So....progress. Need to remind myself to have as much joy in the NSVs as I do in the scale ones.5
