I had a Gynae appointment yesterday that did not go as planned. Slept badly and was very stiff and sore this morning. I have to go back again in another 8-12 weeks, and have to take it easy until then. At least I have had a better day today.

@pridesabtch I'm so sorry your mom's health is getting worse. It's very hard for you to see, and not knowing what to expect next. And an extra hassle getting organizations to accept your POA, honestly some of the places I took mine to acted like they'd never seen one before.
@TerriRichardson112 sorry your medical appointments are not going well, hope you feel a bit better today.littleblackskirt wrote: »
JFT Tuesday 14th June
Log everything yes, had to estimate lunch but estimated high
Stay in the green yes
Back exercises no
Foot exercises yes. Plantar fascitis is not completely gone but is much improved, took around 2 years?
Walk an hour with friend, then 21 minutes in the evening
Mow lawn no, did more urgent gardening
Gardening started digging out large weeds which have been annoying me
Proper evening meal yes
I had a lovely walk in the country with a friend and her dog, then we went to a new small cafe and sat outside among the trees. It was really nice but there was nothing on the very small menu which was low calorie. We had coffee and cake, and very nice it was too Estimated 500 calories for it.
I also did more outside jobs, some gardening (big job which will be split into smaller parts), some phone calls and forms completed re parents estate. So felt like I'd achieved something.
Today I'm going to the osteopath, so will do physical jobs this morning and paperwork and phone calls in the afternoon while resting.

Recap T 6/14 ~ Happy Flag Day!
1) Move hourly / stairs breaks / noon workplace hike at Where Water Birds Nest (new trail for us) ~ 2 miles 10.9K 32 floors 12/14
2) Net calories zero / 96 oz. water / no evening snacking finally, net cals green! sodium not horrible, fiber & protein low-ish, calcium ok, water 88oz.
3) GA-S deactivation reports testing & David's status update he didn't send / finish office summarization yay! / update records request & inquiries reference sheet no time
4) Order supper for Th concert (another block by workplace network) / register for F webinar from home computer (blocked by workplace network) didn't realize cost / email P / wash dishes / another ta-da? emptied kitchen compost into bin, started grocery list
5) Unplug 9:00 / FLOSS / RETAINERS / pray & Calm fell asleep too soon / 6:00 alarm (PT exercises before work) 4/5
JFT W 6/15 ~ yay, it's Hump Day!
1) PT exercises before work another heat advisory day, temps mid 70s when I woke up, so no dog walk
2) Move hourly / stairs breaks
3) Net calories zero / 96 oz. water
4) Clean up reference docs for GA-S / update records request & inquiries reference sheet (would've really helped if someone had done this last year) / start video review for BJ follow-up / register for online training req'd by mgmt
5) Schedule finance advisor meeting / email P / wash dishes (some before work done) / concert in park 7:30 if storms hold off / another ta-da?
6) Unplug 9:00 / floss / retainers / pray & Calm / 5:45 alarm (walk dog before work)
Yesterday's hike was truly an adventure. We got halfway around the small lake (saw a snowy egret, sandhill crane, families of ducks & geese swimming) on nice trail. Went a little farther, realized the trail ended. Thought we'd pick up the trail in a little ways (it was supposed to go completely around), but ended up bushwhacking through increasingly thick brush & saplings. All on a "heat advisory" day, temp in upper 80s with high humidity. Leader Sue & the four of us laughingly pushed on, finally found the other end of trail which had been cleared up to that point. Back at the start, we guzzled water.
When I returned to office, I did a tick check and found one on hem of my pants & freaked out slightly. I HATE ticks. Decided to do more thorough check, found one inside pants starting to attach on my thigh, and another fell (out of my hair?) onto my hand. Called in my two most favorite co-workers, who helped remove the attached tick and made sure I had no more. My outdoorsman/hunter co-worker confirmed they were wood ticks, not the deer ticks that cause Lyme disease. I felt creepy crawly for the rest of the afternoon. LOL
This morning I submitted my GA-S project to a$$t. manager for review, three weeks late, and I'm never late. Although I'd questioned the deadline (with her) since the beginning over two months ago. It was the first time a single auditor was assigned the project, in the past it was always 2-3 staff. As I worked on it, I realized what $hitty jobs by incompetent staff were done the past two years. Her only word to me this morning was "Finally!" Sorry for venting, enough bitching about work. I looked at my countdown app, and know in four months I will be retired. Yay! Mgmt doesn't know that yet, they never ask about my intentions. Or seem to care.About me: CarmelaWord for 2022: Tenacity ~ persistent determination; the mental strength to resist opposition, danger or hardship

- 3.31.22 maintaining not gaining
- 4.30.22 barely maintaining
- 5.31.22 ack

- started MapMyWalk app You Vs. the Year 1,022km challenge on Jan. 1
- Frenzy on the Fox (River Trail) 5K on 1.21.22 ~ untimed event, per MapMyWalk 53.47 & ave. pace 16:30, frigid this year with wind chill at zero
- registered for Seroogy's Valentine 5K on 2.5.22 ~ medico nixed race b/c inflammation in knee due to overuse & my arthritis = sad me but good for my knee
- Bellin 10K on 6.11.22 (first time in person since 2019) ~ 1:41:02 ave. pace 16:27 first half 51:35 second half 50:26 & knees were fine happy me

I've had a crazy busy day.
Last night our fridge packed in.
I kept it shut and it lasted the night just enough for the kids to have milk in their cereal this morning.
I'm completely skint. So I posted on a neighbourhood app thing to see if anyone had a spare and could deliver. They can't deliver but they've got a fridge. I'm not anxiously waiting for my brother to get home from work before 8.30 to take me to get it as he has a van.
On top of that I had our family support worker cone round to help me write a letter to appeal ash's health benefit that they took him off.
She gave me.loads of pointers and how to write it out. And when she left I beasted out 7 pages of A4 as to why their decision was wrong. My hand aches. Funny how little you write as an adult lol!
But that's finished so other than the fridge. I've just got all my fingers and toes crossed that my brother's home on time4 -
Hour commitment - After I finish my two eggs with a little light mayonnaise and parmesan, I won't eat again until after 5pm. Can still have my dose of metamusal.0

I typed up a list yesterday, but it didn't post, and I didn't retype it. Basically V & I went to Morgantown for a college visit and a follow-up appointment for her shoulder. All went well. She is cleared to swim again, only certain strokes, but still she's happy. She has zero desire to go to WVU, but the tour was nice. It was actually nice spending the day with her even though it meant I listened to K-Pop for 4 hours in the car. When we got home, it was date/trivia night for Tim & I. We had fun, but I likely went over calories a bit yesterday... Not much though as I had little to eat during the day.
I also ordered a bikini yesterday. It's high waisted, but I'm still nervous about wearing it. Guess I'll see how it fits and go from there. I also got a couple of cute sun dresses for our Florida vacation. It is coming up fast, but not fast enough... Next week at work is already a blur of audits and FMEA training, then we are off on our couple adventure sans kids. This will be our first adult vacation since we had kids nearly 20 years ago.
Nothing on the agenda today except staying cool and hydrated
