That i absolutely do not mind getting up at 530 am and getting my workout in for an hour; just me and my oculus kicking *kitten* in Supernatural. Oh and that because of this love that I can run up a flight of stairs carrying the laundry basket in double time!!16

I have been wearing 'pull over' soft bras for the longest time because they were all I could be remotely comfortable in.
The day before yesterday I went and got out one of my old (but still perfectly wearable - not like brand new, but still looks decent) regular bras and not only did it fit me pretty well, but I didn't even need the extender at the back 'hook and eye' fastening, in order to wear it reasonably comfortably!!
Well! That's a major! I now have more bras to wear which give me a much better looking figure under my clothes and I know which size bra I am again! So I can buy some new ones whenever I need them! 🎉🥳19 -
Today is my one year anniversary of my fitness journey. I've lost 55+ pounds and over 6 inches around my waist over the past 12 months. I decided about a month in after getting a puppy that I was going to be active and healthy with her. If I was going to put in the effort of keeping her healthy, I could at least do the same for me. I have 25 pounds of weight loss to go and fitness goals I'm still reaching for. Looking forward to the next 12 months. My NSV is that my life looks incredibly different than it did one year ago, and that I didn't give up 3 months in.38

Happy anniversary 😀. You accomplished a lot in that year. I am only 2.5 months in and I can already see positive changes in my life (outside of just weight loss). Your post is very inspiring. Thank you for sharing.

Someone I see frequently said something to me the other day. He said, "Wow. You're looking lean. You must be doing a lot of exercise." He was happy for me. I didn't tell him I've actually packed a few pounds back on the last few months. It felt a little odd, but I decided to just let that feeling flit away and took it as a compliment. I definitely don't see myself as lean. Some might. I was for a while, and I'm still close. Maybe I'll see it some time. Maybe I already am and still don't see it.
A friend doesn't realize he also had an NSV the same day. He wasn't even there. I was paddling with friends, and we started talking about a couple who are mutual friends who had a very non-traditional wedding a couple days before. One person who I was paddling with asked if I thought the groom was "wasting away" or something like that. Well, he stopped drinking alcohol and increased his activity, and he lost quite a bit of weight. He's definitely not "too thin." I told the person who asked that perhaps the problem is most of us are so used to seeing people who are too big that someone of normal weight looks "too thin." I hope he heard me because his wife would love for him to lose ... some of his extra self. I bet he'd be able to ditch some of his medications if he did, and he might even be able to drink grapefruit juice again. Apparently he misses that.
Just like I don't see myself as lean, my friend doesn't see that another friend isn't too lean. Funny how our brains interpret what data they get from our eyes.15 -
My NSV--coming back here after almost a year has passed without weight loss. I got down to 179 at the end of last summer and am now 191--not freaking out; just getting back on the plan. I am still down 54 overall and that last 50 will happen.19

I took off my shirt in the middle of our workout because it's really hot today so I was wearing sportslegging shorts and my sportsbra and I didn't feel self-conscious or awkward. And afterwards I walked home the 100m with my shirt in my hands because there's no way I was putting it back on. And everyone was cool with it. Very nice17

It feels great to be down in sizes! I am finally back in misses sizes rather than women's plus sizes. Congrats on your smaller pants and NSV!15 -

Wow: @quiksylver296, lately you're not just knocking it out of the park, you're knocking it out of the city limits! Nice fruits of your persistent labor.8 -
I started a stressful semester at school mid May and as a result I have not been logging and only half-kitten watching what I eat. After 2 months, I finally got on the scale expecting to have gained 10lbs or more. I lost 3!
I was so surprised that I reset my scale and weighed myself 4 more times…then went and took all my body measurements, which are down too.
I’m aware this is technically a scale victory, but I still wanted to share it because despite taking a “break” during a time of high stress I managed to maintain my weight (and even lose a little) by just listening to my body…well, most of the time anyways.21 -

If I hit my 400 lb deadlift Friday, I'm going to hit all of my years-long lifting goals (300 lb squat, 200 pound bench, 400 lb deadlift) THIS WEEK!!! I've been chasing these numbers for almost 5 years.26 -
No matter what size I’ve been for the last 12 years, one thing has never changed, my underwear size…Until now13

Amazing! Seriously, that is so impressive! 💪
My NSV of the day is I woke up and my back muscles were like “eff you lady “ lol and despite that, I’m pressing on. It would have been 100 times easier to curl back up in bed and sleep or phone it in, but I’m pushing forward. Just keep going.9 -
Sitting on my knees, my feet now touch my butt. Also, I can sit cross legged on the floor comfortably. Shopping in the misses instead of plus size. Some muscles starting to be visible. Taking a shower and realizing that lump is a hip bone. I don't think I've felt my hip bones since I was 12.20

weight gone up by 2 lbs, AND i'm getting NICE definition on bottom two abs!!!16

A TSA agent questioned my ID because "this picture doesn't look anything like you." (140+ pound differential).34

That’s awesome! I bet that felt great!
My first husband had a car wreck and the responding officer was the same way, “no way! How much weight did you lose?!?” followed by “how did you do it?” He was very genuinely looking for weight loss advice.

My daughter made a cake this evening. I took a bite because I didn’t want to hurt her feelings. She did a great job - but my taste must have changed because I did not enjoy the sugary sweetness.
This is a NSV for me because whenever I heard people say this happened to them I always thought it was BS 😉. But I have greatly reduced sugar from my diet and I can honestly say my taste has changed. Wow.26 -
Whenever we travel even around town, when I get out of the truck I'm so stiff I could barely walk. Today we made a 3 hour trip out of town to our nearest Costco and when I got out of the truck I just started walking....didn't feel stiff at all. And this is after losing just 16 lbs.!! I managed to walk over 16,000 steps which shopping and made the 3 hr. trip home and again got out of the truck without feeling super stiff. Can only get better as the weight drops.30
-
I'm not seeing much movement on the scale but I find myself feeling my body more (I swear it's not weird!) because there is muscle and definition that I haven't felt in a while. I think I'm also walking a bit taller and more confidently.20

Awesome. Definitely a victory! My body hurts just watching.
Now I suppose you will set a new goal. Because that's what you do.

The fabulousness of this cannot be overstated, @quiksylver296. Watching your progress here over these last few years has been a wonderful, inspiring thing. Kudos!9 -
Two days in a row of training while not overdoing it. Pilates yesterday (a new adventure for me) and my trusty leg day/squats felt nice and solid today 🙌14

Realized today that a favorite shirt I'd been leaving in the closet as a little too small--is now a little too big! I love this shirt, but I'm looking forward to letting it go.18

My husband and I went and bought a few things at Ron Jon’s this afternoon and I got two new sweatshirts as mine are ridiculously big. I look like a 5 year old wearing their Dads shirt… I tried on two and when got up the the register . I saw the tag on the second one was a medium. I started to pull that one back.
My husband said “what are you doing?”
I said “it’s a medium “
He said “it fit? I watched you try it on…”
So.,. There is that, me casually buying a freaking
medium hoodie and I’m wearing it right now! 😀32 -
I trusted myself enough that I could control my bingeing and went ahead and ordered a bulk lot of some of my favourite lollies (snap and crackle and strawberry zappos) they are a box of 60 each and not so long ago I wouldn’t have ever entertained the idea of having that many treats in the house coz I couldn’t stop myself at one, I have a pretty high energy job, coupled with horse riding and exercise I burn at least 3000 calories most days so I know that I can fit a treat in everyday if I do choose.
The reason I was confident to order a bulk lot of lollies is because the top of my fridge has been stacked with mini Kit Kats, mini chomp bars, chewy caramel tim tams and mint slice biscuits for a good couple of months and I haven't felt the urge to eat them all! Sure I have had a few days where I have had a couple extra treats, but I have not gone into total blowout “eat all of the sugar in the house” mode. This is a big deal for me!29
