I trusted myself enough that I could control my bingeing and went ahead and ordered a bulk lot of some of my favourite lollies (snap and crackle and strawberry zappos) they are a box of 60 each and not so long ago I wouldn’t have ever entertained the idea of having that many treats in the house coz I couldn’t stop myself at one, I have a pretty high energy job, coupled with horse riding and exercise I burn at least 3000 calories most days so I know that I can fit a treat in everyday if I do choose.
The reason I was confident to order a bulk lot of lollies is because the top of my fridge has been stacked with mini Kit Kats, mini chomp bars, chewy caramel tim tams and mint slice biscuits for a good couple of months and I haven't felt the urge to eat them all! Sure I have had a few days where I have had a couple extra treats, but I have not gone into total blowout “eat all of the sugar in the house” mode. This is a big deal for me!29 -
Today I was able to zip and button a pair of size 14 non-stretchy pants!
I started out out wearing a size 22 and every time I get to the next size down I start trying on the size down from that every couple of weeks. So encouraging to go from barely getting them over my hips to see the zipper gap get less and less and finally being able to wear them again.31 -
I bought some summer trousers from a store I never succeed at without trying them on because they were pretty and on sale and they fit! They're stretchy and the size I am in my head, which is about 2-3 sizes down from what I should be according to my measurements, and they look really nice. Very pleased!14

I started in March 2022 in a 3x (probably should have been in a 4x) and now I’m in a 2x and they are loose! Thank god for pants with stretch!20

About a month ago, I signed up for an intramural softball league and had to pick a size for a unisex tee. I optimistically picked a medium because “I should be a medium by then.” After a month of the scale not moving, I got the shirt minutes before our first game. I started to hesitate because there was no time to trek to the bathroom to change, so as one of the female players on the church team, I had to put it on on top of my size large tee. It fit! Not even “fit but snug,” but actually fit perfectly! Which was great because I’m the catcher and had to squat.20

I am definitely out of my old size. I was moving furniture up a set of stairs today and was deathly afraid that I was not going to make it to the top of the stairs before my pants opted to drop to my ankles, trip me, and expose my skivvies.22

I've been killing my step goal lately.
Also I had veggies with every meal today, very happy with myself about that20 -
Had a breakthrough today... Had only a portion of a pint of Ben and Jerry's, what I pre-logged, and was satisfied. I've never been able to do that before!26

We are helping my daughter move and yesterday, the sky decided to open up on us while we were driving.
It’s a red light in the pouring rain and I (passenger) decide I’m saving her art portfolio from the bed of the truck, and did. Quick as a whip! I asked my husband to pull over at the next gas station and so easily climbed in and out of the bed of our big diesel truck in a down pour to grab the only cardboard box back there (everything else was in plastic totes).
My husband said “that yoga is really paying off”. And it is… well, that and the weight loss has made it so much easier to move. I don’t think I have ever been in the bed of our truck before that.23 -
I didn't feel self-conscious putting my weight down on the laptop at the gym yesterday, which was in full view of everyone, despite weighing 30kg more than the second heaviest person on the list. I still don't want my family to know because I don't think they realise quite how high I let it get so I'm happy to share only my weight loss progress with them and not my actual weight but I'm okay with friends and gym friends knowing. Some of them can't believe the number either but I no longer feel bad about anyone knowing. And that feels good.23

I had to renew my drivers license and didn't want to put my actual weight. Not because I'm embarrassed by it (it's 20lbs less than my previous license) but because I know I'm going to lose more and won't be close to my current weight in a few months.
I did give my actual weight btw13 -

I have the opposite problem.
I had just attained my goal weight when I renewed my license. It felt good to write my ACTUAL weight. Well, some of my lost mass found me again, so the license is wrong again. More motivation to change that and get back to what it says. So it's true.9 -
Had two yesterday:
Ran all the intervals in my training program (a total of nine minutes, 2 of those for 3 straight minutes)
Walked into quicksilver for new flipflops and spotted swimsuits on sale. Grabbed a large top and bottom and paid. Didn't even feel a need to try them on, I was that confident. They fit perfectly.10 -
Today I did a 50lb (per arm) cable chest fly for 6 reps and a 60 lb chest fly for 3 reps at a shoulder height setting. For a 60 yr old woman, I am happy with that!16 -
I've had a few, 1) I didn't hate how I looked in a photo for the first time in years 2) I fit into an old favourite shirt of mine I haven't been able to wear in over 5 years 3) I hit 100kg deadlift with passable form.15

I was pondering making a Dairy Queen run, but I decided I didn't really want to spend 700+ calories on something not really that satisfying. So I'm going to make myself something yummy AND healthy, and also save myself $20+ (because I would have taken the family too.)16

My recent NSV: I wore a dress that I had worn to my 10-year high school reunion (held in the 90s...yes, I'd packed it away with the hope it would fit again), and it was loose on me! woo-hoo!!23

I hit my calorie target on a Saturday! Now to do it on a Sunday!21

Being able to put on my seatbelt again without struggling!12
-
I walked up and down 3 flights of stairs with little to no pain! (Strained my quad something awful playing softball. Tried this after a day of resting, icing, etc). My apartment has no elevator.13

I'm up to 30 minutes standing on my paddle board, and did a total of 80 minutes today, 50 more on my knees.18

The two swimsuits I’ve worn for the last year are now too big. I’m currently comfortably wearing a bikini that I tossed in a drawer many years ago thinking there was very little chance I’d ever get to wear it again.25

When I wasn't heavy, there was a divot on the inside of my elbow when I'd flex my bicep to lift something. It's starting to come back.14

I put my hands on my hips and noticed I have a waistline 😀. It definitely goes in before going out again for my hips. Still a lot of room for improvement in that area but excited my efforts are starting to show. Celebrating looking less like an apple 🍎😀!!!17

I was doing laundry this morning and my husband’s pants are wider than me.
Also, I bought my 5 year old a hoodie last week and he was unamused it was a little baggy. I told him that it was okay, I will put it in the closet and it will fit eventually because “you only grow up, you can’t grow down “. He said “ no, you are growing down!” And well… yes, I am. 😂25 -
On this day in 2015 - July 25 - I signed up with MFP. I've logged in every day since, so far.
I'm so glad I found this app and the MFP Community. It has done so very much for me, in quality of life improvement.
Thank you all!47 -

Nice! I got my 10 year badge last week. Not that I've used MFP consistently that whole time.11 -
Got my blood sugar down from 7.4 to 6.6 in one month through diet and exercise!34

I ordered a size S (au8) top the other week as something to strive for. For the longest time I dared not even hope that I could fit a size 8, I didn’t believe my bone structure would allow it, in fact there was a time when a size 12 was my ultimate goal. At the moment I am wearing size 10 and that can be hard to wrap my head around! So ordering a size small is an nsv in itself. I tried the top on the other night just for s#!ts and giggles. It actually fit! It’s not very forgiving material (zero stretch!) so it’s a little tight at the moment but I actually squeeze into a size small and it looks quite alright too22
