Decided to join a challenge for the first timeπ
Little background: I did really well with maintaining my weight loss for a good 5 years. But the last two have been a bit more challenging, Iβve not been active as regularly as usual and probably ate take-away at the most frequent rate I ever have before. Today I realised Iβve reached the highest numbers Iβve seen on the scale since 2014, so Iβm ready to join ππ½ββοΈ
Highest weight (2013): 71kgs/156.5 lbs
Maintenance weight during those 5 years: 56-58kgs/ 123.5-127.9 lbs
September starting weight: 66.2 kgs/145.9 lbs
September goal weight: 62kgs / 136.7 lbs
Ultimate goal by end of November: 58kgs/127.9 lbs

09/01-198.8-(Trend Weight: 199.8)- Good luck everyone this round. Together, we can do this!
09/06-196.8-(Trend Weight: 198.9)- I just noticed that from (basically) the start of last fall 2021 to the end of the Michigan winter in 2022, I gained 12 pounds! I CANNOT let that happen again! In fact, I am STILL NOT BACK DOWN to where I was on Sept 19 which was 187.6 . 10 more pounds to lose just to break even. How sad. On a good note, I am starting to feel my hip bones poking out. They are still in there afterall.

Today I looked up my BMI obesity has 3 categories level 3 is 40 and above after 14.6 lbs loss Iβm in the 2 nd one. Iβve told people my goal is to be overweight.
My thin friends donβt understand until I explain that if youβve been morbidly obese overweight is a victory.10 -

I'm being slightly aggressive in my September goal weight because I want to be at the low-end of my maintenance range before going on vacation in October. Not because I'm trying to fit in to anything, but I want to have a good solid buffer for all that travel time (less workout) and eating out (difficult to track).
Well the heat wave is melting the pounds off? Thatβs my only explanation. Workouts and eating have mostly stayed the same.6 -
Back from my camping vacation and ready to get back to following my regime more strictly. I am lucky that even after 17 days away I weigh the exact same weight as I did when I left. I ate pretty well but just a bit more than I probably should have. But it showed me that I can maintain a steady weight. So that's going to alleviate some angst I have about hitting goal and maintaining it.
