10/4 122.0 After my own “independent study” I have decided my BP meds are causing my vertigo. I stopped them for three days with little change in BP but vertigo was gone. I see the doctor a week from Friday and will discuss with him.
10/5 121.5 Tried a new BBQ place yesterday. Burnt ends weren’t as “burnt” as I would have liked but they were good. I even liked the slaw! (Tasted DH’s) DH. Was impressed with the food. That’s something coming from southern Illinois boy!

10/7 120.0 Blood draw this morning. Too early! But I’m treating myself to a Starbucks after. LOL Maybe 2 after waiting at least 1/2 hour for the tech to arrive! Going to Age of Chivalry (Renaissance fair) later.
10/8 121.0 What a wonderful day yesterday was! Lots of people lots of steps (over 9K) and lots of fresh air! But I ate most of a Philly cheese steak, leaving only 1 bite of the bun. 🤷♀️

10/10 120.5 Great Greek yesterday with family. Wish I could post the adorable pic of GGS in my antique children’s rocker! Hard to believe he’s 3 1/2 months old already!
10/11 122.0 No TMI until after I weighed. DH has early dentist appointment so didn’t get to post this due to no internet at dentist’s office. We’re home, going to lunch with blind friend.

10/13 124.0. Not the way to end a round but totally expected after “dinner” - pizza, chips and cookies! No matter if it’s gluten or wheat in general, I knew it would happen and now have to deal with it. The best news - orthopedic surgeon released DH to drive! His backseat driving was making me CRAZY! 10/4 - 166.0lbs Stayed within my calorie goal yesterday, but felt really sluggish when working out. Had a 3-day binge during the weekend and it’s really affecting the start of my week. My daily goal is to stay within my calorie goal and avoid the late night snackies.
10/5 - 165.1lbs (↓ -0.9) Wooho! There goes the water from the weekend carbs I stayed under my calorie goal last night and away from snacks.
10/6 - 164.4lbs (↓ -1.6) Hoping this continues steadily and that I end up reaching my goal for the round 😄 Stayed below my calorie goal yesterday. I am going to focus on getting an hour of exercise today and drinking more water.
10/7 - 164.7 (↓ -1.3) Just happy to see that I'm staying under 165 for two days in a row I did an hour of HIIT training yesterday and today, which does something with my mood. I feel like every day I work out; I get so much more energy to face everything else in life. Focusing on getting 10k steps in before tomorrow too. I have a sedentary job, so I need to actively get those steps in since I sit around all day
10/8 - 164.5 (↓ -1,5) Feeling motivated when entering this weekend 😊👏🏻
10/9 - 164.2 (↓ -1,8) The arrow is going down and that is great 👌🏻 Ate around 400 cals more yesterday than I did previous days, but I think it’s alright.. I’ve been 100-300 calories under my goal every other day of the week.
10/10 163.4 (↓ -2.6) Closing in on my goal for the round! 🎉 Focusing on keeping this week an active one and avoiding sugary treats, aiming for four workouts.
10/11 163.4 (↓ -2.6) Yay! Day two on this number I just started taking creatine, so I won't be surprised if I see a small bump in weight in the coming days. The last time I started creatine, I gained around 4 pounds, but it's just water, so I'm not very worried if I don't reach my goal this round because of it - it will even out. The most important part is that I've really found my workout motivation again and that I'm constantly staying in my calorie range. I'm in it for the long run and want to go about it in a healthy way.
10/12 163.1 (↓ -2.9) Yaay! 💫 Just finished my workout for the day which was a combination between strength training and HIIT. Stayed within my calorie goal yesterday and planning on doing the same today 😄🌟
10/13 164.2 (↓ -1.8) Totally expected with a bump up considering the creatine intake. Don’t know how much water I’ll gain this time around, but we’ll see where it stops in the first round 😂 Been staying consistent for these 10 days with both workouts and calories. Did an one-hour HIIT workout with focus on core today. Excited for round 22! 🌟🎉

10/4 213.6 Happy new round! I got three free weeks of Hello Fresh so we’re having our first meal from them tonight. Even their low-calorie meals run higher than I usually have for dinner, so I’m having to plan around it. But meals are planned and logged.
10/5 213.6 @ashleycarole86, you were right about the Hello Fresh meal – it was delicious! Beginning rehearsals tonight for our Christmas cantata at church. I used to sing but haven’t in a long time, so I’m looking forward to getting back into it. Meals are planned and logged.

10/11 213.2 I am so ready for vacation but still have so much to do before it’s here! This is the time when I try to use up food we already have rather than buy more so as to clean out the refrigerator, so I hope I can stay on plan pretty easily.

My 98-yo MIL got home yesterday from rehab after breaking her hip but had not even been home for an hour when she fell again and dislocated the hip that had just been replaced. Still waiting to find out what the doctors recommend. @CamandJarvis, I hope you get to see your grandpa soon.

10/4 / 172 / Started the day with an early work issue. On my way to the office now. Will walk at lunch and then my dog will need to go out after work so that will likely be my exercise for the day.
10/5 / 172.8 / Ate lots of salad yesterday, got over 14K steps, and rode the Peloton.

2.6 pounds of holiday weight gain gone, 1.4 to go, that is my goal for this round. Resting heart rate down to 50, that's an improvement too as that is directly linked to my weight. No binges, keep within calories & macros.Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, It's took me 75 rounds to achieve my under 130 target; back to maintenance again!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back under 130. Healthy life style has to be a permanent way of life.

10/4: 131.2 - The problem with ending with all-time low weight at the end of the last round…Had quite a large number of exercise calories, but probably should not have eaten them all back.
10/5: 131.8 - Too many sweets…
10/6: 130.1 - Unintentional strategy: didn’t get my workout in at all, so kept my calories low. Then at 9:30 last night, realized I still had time/energy for a workout. Literally the last thing I did before going to bed (that and a shower) so I didn’t eat back any of the exercise calories. I don’t think I would do it all the time, but the mindset of not eating back my workout calories is an interesting one.
10/7: 128.5 - I have no explanation, other than perhaps yesterday’s unintended strategy is reflected in today’s number. Our flight leaves at 6 am tomorrow morning, so I’ll see if I remember to weigh.
10/8: 130.7 - Did a 20 minute walk at the airport and didn’t eat pretty much the whole day until dinner and then the wine and snacks after dinner. I’m sure the last hour did me in.
10/9: DNW - Traveling - Got my workout in this morning, but the time change has our eating patterns a bit messed up.
10/10: DNW - Traveling - Good day today with exercise and eating. Amazing how your calories are controlled when you don’t snack!
10/11: DNW - Traveling - Got my workout in before sitting in car for 6+ hours. Eating was lots of snacks.
10/12: DNW - Traveling - Today was a 12-mile hike with about 2,000 feet elevation gain.
10/13: DNW - Traveling - feels weird to end the round not really knowing where I am on the scale. Trying to balance being on vacation with others and maintaining.

I am about 8 kg along the way to lose 32 kg. I use multiple tape measurements (cm) around my body because they aren't affected by salt intake. I got serious about losing weight for 5 months, then paused for 6 weeks, now I've started again. Apparently I've been trying to lose weight since September 2012, the last time I was at goal weight. Let's see if stopping eating sugary food is going to change things.

How this round went: exercise was good, 50 minutes on the elliptical each day. Still having sugar unfortunately, my eating has been alright, nothing great though. I think the test is the next round.3 -

REMINDERS: One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating, exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.
