Hi my name is Marty and I have been in the keto game for about a month now, and just recently lost all of my thanksgiving weight "thanks for nothing" lol
but anyhow I lost 8lbs from 240lbs back down to 232lbs which was kinda a lot if you ask me. I try to stay active by walking my dogs 4 miles everyday which really helps with my mental health and I also do weight training but I am in the midsts of changing up mny routine because my old volume routine honestly took way too long and was kinda brutal to keep up with and stay all there and focused for a 2hr workout at the most so now I am currently doing a workout that lasts about an hour, but I am sad because I realized that it will definitely hinder the amount of calories that I can burn per day which sucks!
So I am trying to implement more cardio by at least starting to run 6 miles per week which will honestly be kinda fun hopefully. I used to play lacrosse at a college level and I have reached the weight that I was at when I was playing and practicing full time 5 days a week and to be honest I think I could do better than where I was at when I was playing all the time. My ultimate goal is to get back into intermural sports and just have fun for the last few semesters that I have left in college and hopefully maintain the lifestyle that I currently have.
I have MFP premium because luckily I could afford it at the time and I have been keeping up with my strictish macro limits and I have noticed weight loss especially since Thanks Giving. But here I am just trying to make the days go by so I can just reach my target weight at 170lbs from 233lbs which is honestly kinda *kitten*. Thats about 60lbs to drop in probably the length of the year which is kinda a lot and hopefully by the time I reach that I will be yolked but who knows, for all I know I just have to keep up my workouts and stay in a caloric deficite which can be hard sometimes especially becuase in a few days I will be turning 21 and I am kinda a beer guy when I get the chance so I am going to try to minimize the weight gain from that special night but who knows.
If anyone knows what the most "healthy alchol" for keto would be please drop it so I can use it to my full advantage. From what I heard its a Vodka Soda which honestly isn't so bad. But I definetly know that I will get mad drunk that night and probably binge on some salami which would be just fantastic but we shall see ahahahahhaahah

What are the best and the worst alcoholic drinks on a keto diet?
First, the obvious: alcohol doesn’t help with weight loss. The more alcohol you drink, the harder it is to lose weight, since the body tends to burn alcohol before anything else. Drinking alcohol can also make you want to eat more.
There’s a huge difference between different kinds of drinks when it comes to how many carbs they contain.
The short version: wine is much lower in carbs than beer, so most people on keto choose wine.
Pure spirits like whiskey and vodka contain zero carbs. But watch out for sweet mixed drinks – they often have a significant amount of sugar. Personally, I like straight up Gentleman Jack on the rocks. It's designed to have the tannins and flavors pop more once exposed to water/ice. Plus, it's completely keto and MUCH easier to sip than any other alcohol because it is so smooth. If needed, you can add a splash of unsweet tea for spiked ice tea, which is also keto. Good luck and happy birthday!1
