Hahaaa! I was messing up with my profile this morning and changed to Kg. I went to the gym this morning, met with the trainer after not being at the gym since May, she got me really bad. I decided to stop the payment until I finish up all the sessions I missed since losing the baby. On my way home I was thinking I can do this with my friends without paying so much money..... talk baout the confidence I have in this group. Love you all wonderful people.

Yasmin, I totally agree, getting in shape shouldn't have to cost you anything!! I still have my gym membership, but have been doing C25K and weights at home. I'll still hang on to the membership for a rainy day, but I don't have to.

I'm going to keep the membership too, but not the trainer. I sincerely believe I can do it , I just need to dig deeper and keep going with you all.

    a) W2D1 Complete - walked 3.5, ran about 5.5. I tried to run at a slower pace, but I seemed to tire out faster.
    b) It wasn't as hard as I thought, but I wanted it to be over BADLY by the second to last run!!
    c) goals for next run? I think I'll do another bonus run this week!

Blood pudding, yuck! My favourite is afternoon tea: scones with cream and jam and a cup of tea.

Yorshire Puddings are my favorite. My brother and his daughter live in Devon!
I have a soft spot for Crunchies too, but I have told my brother to not send me anymore for the time being!!!

    a. W2D2 - Done (Wednesday) 3.5MPH Walking, 4.6MPH Running, Treadmill
    b. About the same as Monday. Not hard, but not easy.
    c. Did 10 minutes of additional warmup, but didn't seem to have much effect.

Also, Crunchies are tasty. Damn you Wegmans for having a British section!

Sorry for the shin pain. May be try going easy on yourself or go different route than you did. I'm still afraid of doing it outside still doing indoor treadmill until my behind is ready to run outside.
The Fusion class was so fun, so much huffing and puffing, sore thighs can't even sit on the toilet sit. I'm looking forward going back next week.

Yasmin, I was afraid to do it outside too, and I've found outside to be much harder than on the treadmill. Eventually, you should try it outdoors, just to see what your body favors. Glad to hear that the fussion class went well. I have yet to take any class for fear that I will fall behind. If I ever do, I'll be in the back, near the exit!!

Bryonie, glad to see that you got through it. Are there other nearby, less hill-y places that you can complete the workout?

I'll be honest. I'm afraid to go outside also. Last time I tried (many years ago) I couldn't walk for a week because of knee pain afterwards. Of course, I'd much rather run outside, especially as the weather turns cool, but I'm in it for the long haul so I'll get there eventually.

Nice runs this week everyone! Keep up the good work!

Tonya, if you're up for it, then you should go for it! I think I'll go for W2D3 today, then my bonus run tomorrow or Saturday!
    Btw, I love Survivor!!

Dave, you are right about the pain, but it doesn't seem to last as long as I progress. The difference that I feel is a total body workout, even in my abs. I've only done 4 runs outdoors, and I think it was easier for me because my hubby does it alongside me. My bonus run will be at the gym, so that I can take advantage of the steam room afterwards. I'll have to revisit how I feel after that run.
You keep up the good work too!!

I made a blog post about where I go running outside: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/pandabear_/view/where-i-go-running-pictures-150514

I guess for me, I have no choice but to run outside because I can't afford a treadmill or gym membership. I think it can be really fun though, you're outdoors, you have the fresh air and the sun! You just need proper running shoes, stretch beforehand and take it at a slow pace and ease yourself in. I haven't suffered from knee splints yet, I hope to never have to - they do sound painful!

    a) W2D3 Done.
    b) The 2nd to last run was brutal (heavier breathing). It must be a mental thing because I had the same feeling yesterday.
    b) I may take a break tomorrow before the bonus run.

Way to go! Give your body some rest so it can rebuild those muscles. You've got a long happy life of running ahead of you. :)

That's the BT tower. It counts down the days to the Olympics and on special occasions it flashes colours at night. The other day it sent a blue beam of light straight into the sky, all night long from 8pm, to look like a lightsabre because of the Star Wars DVD. A man in a C-3PO costume turned the light on.

Well done Felicia on completing week 2!

You should definitely take a break if you can, the podcast recommends days off in between! And you do have 2 other days to do a bonus run!

That's totally awesome. I found a great pictures of it with Darth Vader 'holding' the lightsabre. My kids thought that was fantastic.
