😀 Welcome all new first timers to this challenge and "Hello again" to those returning for another month, another year, another round. 😀

I joined back in September of 2021, which was my first month back on MFP. In the first 9 months, I lost 40 pounds and use this challenge as motivation to stay on track. It is nice to have a medium-term goal that gets broken down into manageable chunks.

Pick your own goal, check in once per week, and at the very end of the month. Let's keep encouraging each other & staying focused on our individual goals.

You can change the dates to suit you, but try to keep it weekly as it shows off the weekly progress better😀

For those unsure how to do your weekly weight input:
When you want to do your weekly update do a search for your original post, copy and paste as a new post in the add post box then you can edit in your new weekly weight. A lot of people also maintain their post in a notes application on their device and just cut and paste into a new post.

It’s not a race go at your on pace, imagine where you could be in 6 months time!😀

    Starting tomorrow off with a smile. January goal was 160 and I weighed in at 159.6! Been feeling great and excited about shedding the rest. I know I need to incorporate regular exercise at some point, but I’m just not there yet. This has all been due to diet!

    Good morning! Looking forward to this challenge. I haven't joined in awhile. I remember last year when I'd started at 238, then caught Rona and went missing. I eventually got back into working out and I had some great success. I dropped all the way down to 220.2 lbs by October, and for the most part, I've been able to keep it off. My goal overall for the year is to get below 200 lbs. My motivation is making weight for a helicopter ride later this year in Alaska as well as lowering my cholesterol and getting out of pre-hypertension range. I'll weigh myself again tomorrow, and come back with whatever the number is for 02.01. I do not expect that it will change from what it is today though. Congratulations to everyone making a conscious decision to go after your goals. We got this!

    This is my first challenge. I am thankful to find this group. I had a bad 2020 as did a lot of us than started a new job with long commute. My journey back to a healthier me started in August of 2022 at a start weight of 211. I have come a long way and need motivation and help staying committed. I have been back to the gym for several months. My motivation is my 4 grandkids and the joy of staying active and be the adventures fun granny. I will be 54 in February.

    My name is Carole and my profile name is "Walela617". I live in the Boston area, where I have lived for most of my life. I work for Mass General Brigham (Personalized Medicine/Research) in Cambridge. (I belong to a wellness program called, "Path to Lifestyle Change" that weighs-in on Thursdays, but I can definitely weigh-in for this group on Wednesdays, since I weigh myself every day now anyway.)

    My all-time highest weight was 217 lbs. on Leap Year Day, February 29th, 2008, the year I turned 50! I did manage to get down to 140 lbs. after a couple of years on Weight Watchers, but I didn't stay there long and have been yo-yoing ever since. When I started my current job on 11/01/2021, I decided to walk to and from work on as many days as I could (a little over two miles, each way). I weighed 188 lbs. at that time and now weigh about 150-151. (I will post my actual February starting weight tomorrow.)

    This year I will (hopefully) turn 65 on August 18th. I plan to weigh 140 lbs. or less by the first day of Summer so that by August 18th I should be in pretty good shape! ;)

    I look forward to sharing with all of you on this journey!

    I'm Chris - 72 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion...
