People say keto/LCHF isn’t sustainable. I’ve been doing it for over 5 years with amazing results!

@quiltingjaine Your keto statement has intrigued me. Do you mind sharing a couple of typical days of your diet?

    LOVE the Yoda quote!

2/01 - 163.0 - I'm happy with that tiny little drop. I cut it really close on calories yesterday and was honestly worried I'd be up again. Today will be another day which staying in calories will bring a challenge. I've already eaten breakfast since dinner was suuuuuper early and I was beginning to feel nauseous. Yoga this morning, just 15 minute easy morning wakeup practice. Will need to really pay attention to my watch's reminders to get up and move. And then move extra today. Not only to keep warm, but to give myself a little wiggle room in calorie department. Will see if BF wants to make chicken noodle or chicken and dumplings tonight for something cozy.

In other news I am retired as of January 1, 2023! Still planning to log a few part time hours doing admin things and being an ambassador for the firm.

(Too much information warning) And more other news, I am having a prostate removal surgery a week from today. Getting that “C-word” out of my body! I am not planning on filling you all in with ongoing fine details of the procedure or the recovery. But, I want to mention it here so you can pray that the doctor gets a good night’s sleep the night before. 😊 Thanks.

    1. Congratulations on (quasi)retirement! Don't you dare get too bored now (:
    2. Please keep us updated, at least generally, on your journey with that cursed "C-word" and surgery. I was wondering how that was coming along during your hiatus from us.

got care free in maintenance and the scale went up one lb at a time. Now I’m turning it around one lb at a time.

    2016- 245lbs
    2019- 142lbs
    9/12/22- 185lbs
    R212 EW 186.6

2/1- 183.8 back to normal yesterday with eating schedule, calories and exercise. Nice little whoosh. Today the calories will be tricky. I have lunch out with girlfriends at a fantastic little restaurant. It’s hard to order a salad at a place known for fried chicken. I have to study the menu this morning so I have a plan in place. I know it will be a calorie bomb but i can keep it in control.

Great you are thinking ahead! Once you plan, track it!!! I'm facing a complicated next 5 days. I have actually already planned and tracked through next Monday. Might I go off course?? Yes, but then I can look at the plan and figure out how to adjust. I had to do that today, helping my parents at assisted living. I planned a lunch, and had no opportunity. Came home starving. Shifting things about, but the day will work. Good luck!!
