What a great thread! My entire family loves Calvin & Hobbes. For my husband's birthday this year we had him dress in black shorts and a red and black striped shirt with a newspaper hat. We put my daughter's terrier in a tiger costume. Dessert was a cake made to look like a sledding hill complete with Calvin, Hobbes and several snow goons. For entertainment we played a homemade board game based on situations and places featured in the comic strip. Oh, and the menu for dinner consisted of "gross" food items.
