Just hit Maintenance this past Thursday. So happy to be here.
Been going over my diet the past couple of days. I need to increase my calories. I run a lot and tend to burn around 800-850 at the gym. I work out 3 days on, 1 day off. 35 minutes of running, followed by 30 minutes strength training.
I've been looking forward to this day for sooooo long!

Success of the week: Holding steady again. I went to a Volunteer Appreciation Event on Friday. I knew there would be lots of food. I gave myself permission in advance to eat whatever I wanted, no holds barred. I fulfilled my commitment. As I expected, the scale was up - on the order of 3.6 pounds. The success is it didn't phase me. I expected it, and I knew it was temporary. Scale weight is already coming back down one day later. Ten-day average weight barely made a blip.
Struggle of the week: The two squirrels who keep stealing suet and the other day took the whole suet feeder. I did find it, and I've got it wired shut and wired up to where it hangs to at least slow them down.

Successes/Struggles:
I did well in January, losing much of the 2 kg I gained in the last 6 weeks of 2022, but my weight has stalled at around 50 kg. There’s nothing wrong with 50 kg but I’m away on holiday for a few days from Feb 13th and will be eating breakfast and dinner in a hotel for four nights so I had hoped to be closer to 49 kg before going.
Struggling with exercise as my OA is really affecting my mobility. Thus, I have to be very careful about calories – no wiggle room.

After I jumped up to 145 9 years ago I joined mfp and have had my swings up and down.
Success- getting back under 130, doing Cross fit x 8 months.
Failure- gaining 10 pounds from Oct 30 to Jan 11 every year.
Goal- Stopped cookies, cakes, candy on Dec. 26 and lost 6 pounds. Back in my optimal range of 125-130.1 -

Successes/struggles of the week: Covering the last two weeks since I was traveling without my scale.
Success: Managed to do really good workouts every day except one when I was feeling slightly under the weather. Even on the long travel days…. Breakfasts and lunches were also well balanced, low calorie.
Struggles: Social eating at dinners and after dinners (lots and lots of snacking and drinking). I’ve really got to examine why I sabotage myself. I’m lucky so far that it hasn’t impacted my weight too much, but I can see it coming if I don’t figure this out.

Under Normal BMI Aug 4, 2018 through Aug 15, 2022.
Nov 1, 2022 Now over my Normal BMI 9 pounds to lose to get back into it.
Since Nov 19, 2022 Back under Normal BMI!! so basically I was overweight for 3 months of 50 months. That’s a success for me.
Maintenance weight range: 150-159.9 “In the 150’s” This gives me about >5 lbs before I hit Overweight BMI.

Successes: Drastically more steps, miles, exercise minutes.
High VO2 MAX level for the past 8 months!
Struggles: Eating out & foods that I usually don’t have in the house. Our guest leaves tomorrow. I am realized I was feeling more “down” than I should be & arranged to talk with a therapist. I think it may be a result of new meds, but I also have quite a few friends dealing with new serious health issues & other very tough situations.
I’m hopeful that I will feel more like myself consistently soon.
I’m also realizing that this all began when tinnitus began Sept 2021. Steps significantly lower & maintaining has been problematic since then. Mood definitely not what it was.
But I’m Fighting back now.

Successes/struggles of the week: I've been so busy lately the past few weeks, and it seems to have translated into an average weight decrease of 1 pound from last week - I've been moving around a lot, on my feet and helping out for a few hours per week, so there's likely an increase in my activity/calorie burn a bit from that.0 -
