I'm In again for another 10. Thanks, as always @quiltingjaine! I agree with @shmmm3 in that theres ... "Something really nice about these 10 day rounds is that every ten days I revisit and refocus on the lifestyle habit goals that every 10 days helps me focus in on."

Thu 3/23: 145.8 - I struggled and snacked between lunch and dinner, and it wasn't pretty (frozen yogurt bar, peanuts, hippeas puffs). I tracked it all and finally stopped myself, then did a better job at dinner. I made sure to get in a Peloton workout to help even it out.

3/23 - 158.6 - Internet is down so attempting this post from my little phone. All was good yesterday. I ended up shaving off a minute from my run between Wednesday and yesterday (same intervals for both). Today is a rest day so I'm very lightly pedaling the bike as I type this out and sip my coffee as a bit of active rest. I feel the soreness! Things may be more hectic as both BF and I have big things due today as we are both off work tomorrow so we may be going elsewhere to work (and therefore away from the house and towards tempting unhealthy options). BF is harnessing up Harley for a walk so I guess I'll also be taking a walk with Smoke once it's light out. Today's goal: stick to my good habits to get through!

Put away an entire easter egg despite it not even being easter yet today though I am back to my food plan and feeling more positive! Hoping to end the next ten days below 156kg (don't want to set myself to difficult a goal as at the moment just sticking to my food plan day-to-day is an achievement!)

3/23: 234.4 (-0.2), BF%=32.2 (0.0). Last night I got to snacking with some Trader Joe's frosted shredded wheat nonsense. I ate (relatively) slowly and mindfully, but I probably still overdid it. I'm almost going to stop being lazy with my posting. I'm a bit behind at work, but I'm trying to make being a part of this group a priority, at least as much as I can.7

@hoopsguy72 I think the key thing for me is to weigh out (and track) a portion before eating those snacks. It is amazing how quickly I can get to the bottom of any bag.6 -
@Rockinrobyn672 Thanks
Ingredients for the oil free hash: sweet potatoes, gold potatoes, brussels sprouts, red cabbage (I like it much more than regular), sauerkraut sometimes for a little kick and probiotics.
The short version of the recipe is: add the ingredients in the order of longest to cook down to shortest (order I listed above) and keep adding water to coat the bottom of the pan but not too much to boil anything. Stir consistently to keep the potato starches from sticking to the pan. I've opted to pre-cook the diced sweet potatoes in the air fryer a few times to speed up the process since they take the longest to soften. The sweets potatoes take longer than the gold potatoes so they have to get soft first.
Recipe:
1. Add diced the potatoes (first sweets, then golds) to a pan with enough water to cover the bottom of a large pan on medium heat or medium high. Generosity with water is fine here because it evaporates pretty quickly. As they cook down you'll notice the potato starch coming out. At this point I add my base seasonings of salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
2. Once the potatoes are mostly cooked down to as soft as you like it, add your halved Brussels sprouts and let them mix with the seasoned juices of the potatoes. Follow the mostly cooked Brussels with chopped cabbage. Season to your liking.
3. The pan is probably filled to the brim so let it sit on low heat while the water from the cabbage helps it soften itself. Cook until everything is soft and nice and voila!
My favorite finishings right now are balsamic vinegar and sauerkraut, a sunny side up egg (once I'm eating animal products again), and avocado toast. To give my husband extra calories I cook extra eggs in lots of butter to drizzle over his bowl of hash. It's a big hit.
Incorporate your favorite veggies but this is the base recipe I started experimenting with and I'll eat it for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner8 -
SW RND 218 -
Diet goal: YES to: Whole foods and plant-based.............No to: Ultra-processed foods and added sugar, except for the really good desserts where it's worth it. Meat and animal products are out until the end of March to help me fast-track my progress on getting better at the whole foods, plant-based BASE that I want my diet to stay at long term.
Movement goal: Some gentle strength training and cardio every day. This round I'm counting house cleaning as cardio.
Weight goal: maintain between 120-125. I made it 123.4 lbs at the end of RND 217

When I got back from my walk with Smoke, I discovered internet had returned! So we are still planning on going into town for Thirsty Thursday since it's FamHub's birthday but we can hang out at the house and work until then. We were planning on invading Fam's to work otherwise, now we can have our space to knock out our work.
For accountability - I'm avoiding beer and, if I drink any alcohol, it will be only one drink. Will need to see if we just stay at our usual spot, or go down to our friends' winery for our free glass (as members). I will log everything. Also hoping to eat at home prior to heading out so I can avoid the not-so-healthy foods there. If not, I'm pre-logging their spring blend salad with grilled chicken. I haven't had that one before and it seems like something I'd make at home anyway.8 -

I’m back now after a long hard two months. My DH of 38 years passed away on March 9 just two weeks ago today. He was hospitalized for a little over a month and fought hard but he was just too sick. I have a special needs adult daughter to care for and will do my best for her and another daughter and SIL who live nearby. Getting myself healthy is even more of a priority now.

Stick to Plan:- Calorie cycle for a weekly average of 1200 to 1500
- Exercise: Row, Walk, Bike, Weights, Snowshoe, Dance, Jazzercise
- Water: Shoot for 80oz per day
- Binge-Free & Sugar-Free for 100 days
- Lots of veggies and protein, some fruit (very little processed foods or simple carbs which I hardly have anyway)
- I need to figure out a way to get more fiber, especially from grains.

4/01 Goal - lose 2 pounds
Bingeing is why I'm where I am now. I want to see the results with 100 days of no bingeing. I'm not talking about going over calories from overeating a little, I'm talking full-out bingeing. And that's not just on bad foods, even when I'm eating well, I'll binge. This will be extremely challenging but if I stick to it (and stay off sugar and simple carbs to stop cravings), there is no way I'm not going to see consistent weight loss during these 100 days (not to mention the health benefits)! Part of this challenge, too, is if I do have a slip, that I don't revert back to old habits of bingeing for days/weeks/months. I will acknowledge the slip, celebrate that it didn't derail me, and just keep on keeping on.I want to see what happens when I don't give up!100-day Binge-free Challenge starting March 6….

⭐*******100-day Sugar-free Challenge starting March 6….

I couldnt figure hiwnto edit my post above to add my weight in 🤔 so had to make a new post. Also the battery in my Renpho scale broke so I had to use my old scale and I think it weighs me a little lighter. I'll finish off this round with the same scale then use my Renpho for the next one! I'm psyched for this accountability though.... Lawd knows nothing else has been working for me 😵💫

Maintenance Range Goal: 200-205

1. For 2023, avoid a repeat of 2022 lack of discipline.
2. Stop whining.
3. Log my food daily… That is how I lost my weight before.
Round 218 Posts
This is my posting format….
Month/Day: Scale Reading - First thing today after bathroom visit before getting dressed.
/ Logged Food; Exercise – yesterday / Comment
Previous posts:
3/22: 222.8
Starting weight at “end” of last round, most of which was spent AWOL.
3/23: 222.2
/did not log yesterday; did not exercise/
This round I will not get worried about the scale reading, but I MUST log what I eat so I can see how it affects the scale.
Today’s breakfast is logged.
The last three days of the round I will not be able to weigh, due to a short fishing trip. And the food will me of the “unsupervised pack of rudderless males” variety. I will log every bite and sip, and step on the scale first day of the next round.
I did manage a good exercise session on Monday. Hoping to continue with more consistency.

I have found a very good pizza substitute at Culinary Lion. Even my DH likes it. I make the crust and cut it into 4 pieces (that are 2 servings each) and freeze it. When I want pizza I take a square out, warm it, add desired toppings and heat. It’s very good but does include a lot of cheese. YUM You could skip cheese on top to compensate.

@KellyGurl68 Welcome! You'll love this forum. Everyone is so positive and supportive! Each day, I go to my last post and hit "quote" and copy it and paste into the comments box to create a new post. You want to remove the "[quote..]" and "[/quote]" from the top and bottom of the post. You're right, you can't edit your last post from the day before. However, if you have a typo or think of something else you want to say, you can edit for up to an hour after you add it. People do it differently, but this is what works for me.5 -

Hi, I’m Debbie.
I am 59 yr old, 5' 6" female from Missouri.
@jedaschultz I am so very sorry. My heart goes out to you and your daughters.6 -
@smoda61 I love that you take your cats for a walk. Oskar will walk on the leash but hasn’t ventured past the driveway.4

@deepwoodslady You’ve got this! A big loss in 216 followed by a smaller loss - I think your body is just trying to figure out what’s going on. Hang in there!3

@EddieAF93 Rather than setting a specific number goal, I decided ANY LOSS IS A GOOD THING. My goal became to have a lower number on day 10. For me it created too much stress to say “I’m going to be X pounds/lose X pounds by . . .”5
