    4 bad days now.

Okay I have identified that I am rubbish at looking after myself and eating healthy if I am tired plus stressed. This week dealing with a lot of stuff at work on a deadline plus helping little bro register wife’s death, arrange funeral plus several nights with much less sleep than my preferred 8 hours plus = absolutely no will power no meal planning and eating on self destruct.

The silver lining on this cloud is that, in the last couple of months, I have identified that if I’m not also tired I don’t do this. Step one to change identify the problem. So I have been making sure I get enough sleep. Preventative action.

But that doesn’t help when I don’t get enough sleep. I have got to find a way to train my brain out of this habit. 🤔🤔🤔

    👍😊

8.5 hours sleep last night. Feeling a little less stressed. Have the granddaughter for the weekend so that will keep my excersize up!
Not a good day yesterday. Need to get my head back in the game

Well that was over a week of not eating to plan. To be honest of not even having a plan.
But back on it yesterday and plan completed for today. I do enjoy fiddling with my meal plan to get my macro’s right. Odd I know 🤪

Didn’t stck to it all day, too tired to make tea. Didn’t go to bed as I was. Tired today with lots to do. Really not helping myself. Need to get my act together and start doing the things that I know will help me stay on track.

Up .6 since last post. Happy with that, got the family with me so had a very belated (got Covid in December) full Christmas dinner. Was really good and everyone enjoyed. Turkey dinner was fine but starters, puddings and cheese board that go with was excellent 😜
Then had two days out with the guys. Lots of steps in, but extra eating too. Did mean two early nights as was totally knackered. 10 hours sleep Friday and 9.15 last night so starting today feeling pretty good!
Really good fun. They go home today so I will send the extra goodies home with them and get back to it 🤞🤞🤞

Down .8 since yesterday. Family all gone home so house is very quiet but tidy! 😂😂

Plan for today complete. Macro’s within 10g of target and within 2% of target. Enjoying fiddling with plan to meet these and it does get easier as you get used to it. But it’s numbers and I looooove playing with numbers 😊

Out on the golf course this afternoon, should get 18 in. Been reading up on line as to why my drives fade right all the time. Apparently it’s all in the swing. So going to try to tweak that slightly 🤞🤞🤪

Down 1.4 on yesterday, the effects of a full 18 holes of golf with eating on plan. Plus it only takes me back to where I was a couple of weeks ago when I fell off plan. Always drops off easier if it’s only just gone on.

Working day at home today. Usually means I hit my drinking goals (water that is) but very very low on movement. Going to set an hourly alarm and run around the house like some sort of demented chicken for 3 minutes. 🤞it will get me up to half hour exercise on my Apple Watch as well as a semi decent step count.

Office tomorrow so drive to there tonight ☹️ looking forward to the day I can start working from home almost exclusively! Hopefully in the next few months 🤞

Down .4 on yesterday. Slight pleasant surprise. As had big loss yesterday following a lot of exercise was expecting + a little or break even. A result I think of staying on plan and running round the house a few times. 😜🏃‍♀️

In the office today then out at a clients so steps should be not tooo bad. Planned my meals to within 1% and 10gm of target. Couple of bits of shopping to get but no reason why it should not be on plan again today 🤞😊

I love how you've found a way to counteract your own triggers. Mine is similar: when I get home from a 12 hr shift I'm tired, cranky and snackish. And I have a hard time saying no! I suspect the drop in cortisol doesn't help. I'm not going for a walk at 830pm, does anyone have a suggestion for me?

I like having fat free plain geek yogurt with fruit. Frozen fruit because it's cheaper. Then i add a sweetener like Monk fruit. So so good.

Down another .8 🤪 Now lost all weight from my latest blip and losing what I put on last year 👍😊 very happy bunny. Down to sticking to my eating plan and being in the office meaning a little bit of walking in compared to just being at home.

Have entered every competition I’m eligible for at the golf club. So with lighter evenings expecting to be playing 18 holes at least 3 if not 4 times a week. Will certainly be on course at least 4 times 🏌️‍♀️⛳️ that gives me a reasonable amount of exercise and a good step count. Need to look at some exercises to strengthen core and upper body on days I’m not playing. Not just for weight loss, much more important than that. Want to get a little more distance on my golf shots. So wish I had started playing this 40+ years ago 😢

Day with the granddaughter and their treat draw. 🤞I can keep myself out of there!

After dropping 3.4 in 4 days a not unexpected + .6. Was expecting to be up this morning by more than that after a poor evening prepping food for sister in laws funeral.

So we have the funeral today. 😢 Going to be a hard day for little bro.

Sending warm wishes for a tough day. Be kind to yourself and cut yourself some slack if you’re not bang on goal today; bugger picture and all that.

All went well till after golf when I started looking at something stressful work wise. Then ate like there is no tomorrow 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

I just cannot seem to get my head sorted and on track for more than 3 days. 2021 I went all year no problem, lost nearly 5 stone. Life was just as stressful then, if not worse with Covid. I know what to do and what not to do. I’ve done it. It’s really pretty straightforward when your head is in the right place. Only 1 question really, how the ……. do I get my head back in the right place.

Ok day one of a new week, fresh start. Meals planned, macro’s on track. 🤞out on course tonight for a quick few holes. Will prep tea lunch time so will be easy to put together when I get in. I know I will be fine till then.

Plan to resist going off track. If I find myself in the kitchen looking for food I will put a three minute timer on and run around the house, make a cup of tea and sit down without eating. Puts foot down with a firm hand to self. I WILL NOT GO SELF DESTRUCT TODAY! 😠😠😠

Edit - just looked at the weather forecast for this evening 🌧️🌧️🌧️😭😭😭😭😭

Are you trying for too much of a deficit maybe? Perhaps something a little slower would be easier to stick to by being less restrictive?

    Hi Sarah
I think your right on days I play golf. I need to plan to use some of the extra calories in advance so I don’t succumb to the munchies.👍 thank you

Up .4 but had to visit a friend who has lost their husband last night so didn’t get to eat till almost 10. On plan yesterday so happy this .4 is an overhang from the day before or from eating so late.

So meals planned for today. Weather is looking good for an hour or two on course this evening. I need to make sure I prep dinner lunchtime so I have a planned meal ready to go as soon as I get home.

Starting to fill in plan for weekend, when I’m playing full game of golf 3 days in a row. Going to est calorie burn from the exercise and plan in 50% of that into the day, making sure I have something ready to go when I get back in. 🤞🤞🤞

So latest blip reversed. 🎉🎉 now to trying to keep myself off self destruct and away from another blip! 😜

Today I have the funeral of a friends husband which means a funeral tea. Planned breakfast and supper to leave a reasonable balance, but it is going to be difficult to measure.

B12 jab is due. Can’t get it till next week. Very poor concentration at the moment. Need to find out if I can get quicker than 12 weeks as makes such a difference to my ability to work!
