No weigh in this week. I started a part-time job and just didn't have time. I will get back on track next week as I now have a schedule for the rest of the month. Looks like Tuesdays may be my weigh in days as I have those off for the month.. I find I usually go up in weight when I first start working not sure why as I eat less.

Update week 10
Hello everyone. I am 5'3'' female turning 55 this month. I thought this would be a great challenge to ramp up my motivation on getting healthier!

My name is Mary, 65 from Pennsylvania.
Been MIA for a few months but still logging in everyday since I started MFP 5/14/21. Trying to get back into the swing of posting on my threads I've been in for awhile. 668 continuous days now today in a row since I started MFP.
Unfortunately lost my mojo and gained a lot back but not all Thank God! Need to get back on track and focused. I bought a NEW to me, gently used, Commercial PreCor EFX 835 Elliptical. It was delivered the beginning of November, as others here know I wore my previous 10+ year old one out from my extensive workouts. Back up to 150 minutes on my 3 days off per week.
Good to see some familiar names here and glad to see some new ones too!
Heaviest weight 255 lbs, twice. :-(
9/14/20-255 lbs
5/14/21-232.2 lbs
4/6/22- 147.6 lbs (107.4 lbs lost) I did NOT have a surgery. Did Keto.
8/1/22- 167.2 lbs
12/1/22-198 lbs
1/1/23- 213.4 lbs
2/1/23- 207.4 lbs
2/5/23- 207.8 lbs
2/12/23- 206.4 lbs Elliptical Interval setting 150 minutes Fri, Sat & Sun for 9.89-10 miles.
2/19/23- 201.8 lbs Elliptical Interval setting 150 minutes Thur-9.98miles , Fri-9.91 miles & Sun-10.0 miles.
2/21/22- 202 lbs Elliptical Interval (HIIT) setting first session 124 minutes for 8.14 miles, zone 3. The had to babysit for about 2 hours, then the second session Interval setting again 56 minutes for 3.75 miles, zone 3= 180 minutes, 11.89 miles.
2/26/23- 202.6 lbs Elliptical HIIT setting Fri, Sat & Sun, 150 minutes 9.89 miles -10.12 miles. So 40+ miles this week, since I took an extra day off on Friday. Waiting for the scale to show my efforts. :-(
3/1/23- 201 lbs Yippee!!!! January down 6 lbs, February down 6.4 lbs!!!
3/5/23- 200 lbs Elliptical Thurs, Fri & Sun 150 minutes for just over 10 miles each session. Finally glad to see a drop. I was hoping for Onederland though. Oh well, it's inevitable. Can't complain about 7.4 lbs since 2/1, in 4 1/2 weeks.
3/12-23- 205 lbs. Too many carbs lately. Elliptical HIIT setting on Friday & today (Babysitting on Sat) 150 minutes each day, just over 10 miles each day.
3/19/23- 206 lbs. Having a hard time eating less carbs, like before. Elliptical HIIT interval setting for 150 minutes on Thursday, Friday & today (my off work days) for 10+ miles each session.
3/26/23- 210 lbs :-( Elliptical HIIT setting only Friday and Sunday (too many errands & a hair appointment on Saturday) 150 minutes for 10+ miles each day.
4/1/23- 207.6 lbs.
4/2/23- 209 lbs. I need to get my head right and be more accountable to myself in this. I need to get back in control and off the carbs again. Back to my lower level of daily carbs(15g net +/- 3) and FOCUSED on what is best for me! Not short term enjoyment. Elliptical HIIT setting 150 minutes for 10.11 miles today (I do my elliptical like this 3x per week, on my off work days pretty religiously. Thursday, Friday & Sunday this week).
4/4/23- 204.8 lbs
4/5/23- 204.8 lbs Not my usual check in day but hopefully getting myself back on track, FINALLY!!! Was on track Sunday, Monday and Tuesday with my low carbs and it shows! Today I'm on track too!
4/9/23- 203.6 lbs Elliptical HIIT setting 150 minutes for 10.04 miles zones 2, 3 & 4.(Also same elliptical time on Friday & Saturday too). Meat & low carb veggies for Easter lunch today but I had a piece of a Dominican Pineapple cake. OMG! Not rich and a whipped cream icing but moist as a Rum cake. So delicious! Worth the calories & Carbs IMO.

My dr put me on wegovy, an FDA approved weight loss drug you inject yourself, once a week. She said it as been very successful for her patients. It really does suppress my desire to eat and I have not experienced other side effects. If interested, you should talk to your dr as it is not for everyone, particularly people with thyroid issues. Plus not all insurance plans cover it so check into that as it is expensive. I will keep posting my progress.
My daughter's doctor put her on something for weight loss that seems to do the same thing, she has no desire to eat. I'm not sure what it is but I know it's not wegovy as her insurance wouldn't cover it. Whatever her doctor prescribed it's a medication taken orally. He prescribed it in October and she's lost 40 lbs so far, dropping her A1C back down into the normal range.
If your insurance won't cover the Wegovy and you'd like me to, I can ask her what she is taking and let you know.
@GinLee61 I would love to know the medication your daughter is on. Especially since the weight loss substantially helped her A1C. I am a T2D.2 -

Ugh, I keep doing this every time I get under 150 😔

Seems like there is universal wave of not being well
I was overworked, overstressed and my blood pressure and blood sugar went haywire. Luckily, a family member is a wonderful doctor (diabetes specialist) so he gave me a full diet chart, some nutritional medicines, some for digestive system and very low doses of BP and pre-diabetes, some for mild stress. He actually admonished me for taking higher dose for these issues, as , he says, I'm next to normal and don't need much medication. It was such a relief after struggling for one month with strange issues!
So from today, my energy levels are back, I'm eating at an interval of every hour, but still, the calorie levels are within my daily target. I'm literally eating my cake and having it too.
@RubyRed427 I understand how stressful it can be to see someone close to us suffer. Be kind to yourself, and if possible, consult for your doctor for some mild stress relief medication. I suffer from anxiety and stress (causes for my chronic high BP) and can vouch that a little medication can be a very good help.
Wishing everyone peace, strength, and resolve to reach their aims.6 -

Meds were adjusted again, had blood work done, vitamin D is way under (even though I take it daily), hormones are all over the place and my diet and sleep are taking the hit. I made what I thought were small adjustments by incorporating more nuts and healthy fats into my diet. Maybe I need ti cut back elsewhere- I’ll get my tracking square & see where I slipped off. And prioritize my sleep.

I guess this just shows that our bodies are on their own schedule, and only thing we could do is make the right choices every day.

Consumed an average of 1533 calories per day last week and burned an average of 300 per day through exercise. Not terrible considering that I missed a day of exercise plus last weekend was Easter.
My goal for this week is to average below 1500 per day and to burn an average of at least 300 per day through exercise. BFF is coming to visit today which means there will be wine. 🍷 Going to stick to 2 glasses and only have healthy munchies to go with it. 🍇🧀🥕
Only 2 more weigh-ins before the end of the challenge period. Stay strong everyone and just keep going!!
Have a great weekend!

3/28 201 with cast on
4/6 200.1 with cast on
4/13 202 with cast on
Last week's goals:
YES Keep up green veggies each day.
SOMEWHAT Chill out- stop taking things to heart.
YES Keep up with making healthy food choices and don't be impulsive.
I have about 5 more days with my cast. I am so looking forward to its removal. Even though I may need to wear a boot or something, I think it would be better than a cast.
I have been quite active - lots of steps at work and today on Saturday about 8,000 steps per day- limping around.
I did journal twice this week. That felt good.
Next week's goals:
Eat green veggies each day
Eat one fruit each day- I rarely do.

@200Karen Jumping on trampoline is really good for the lymphatic system. On the balls of our feet, I believe, we have lymph nodes. I once heard that. Not sure if that's accurate.3
