Water saved to Apple Health

Thanks for the great suggestion involving syncing water with Apple Health. We will definitely consider it for a future update!

Yes, please consider this. I use Hidrate Spark because it counts my water intake automatically from my bottle. The count is synced to Apple Health and Apply Health sync’s to Myfitnesspal yet Myfitnesspal never sees my water intake from Apple Health7

I just got my Hidrate Spark bottle and was sad to see MFP did not sync this one part from Apple Health, especially for premium account. Please add this feature.3

Agreed!1

Following up to say pretty please! I agree! I would love if MFP synced with Apple Health for water - it currently syncs for all other nutrients. Thanks!1

Yes, +1 for this...heck, +100000! To be honest, it's kind of dumb not to pass this data on. I'm using a habit tracker app, and would love for this information to carry over so I'm not duplicating it.2

Another for logging in of water from Apple Health. Already logging automatically from Hidrate Spark…won’t do it again in another app manually which means I also won’t opt for a higher tier license of this app without this feature. But if it’s there…I definitely will!0

Yes please add this feature!0

This should already be a thing. You pull in all of this data from apple health and yet there is nothing for water. Whats the hold up??0
-
+1 - I'm using Habitify which can use the data from Apple Health, but it's frustrating to need another app or a shortcut to log this and MFP show nothing0
-
We need water to sync! I have Hidrate Spark and disappointed neither the app or apple health can be linked!0
-
+1 Big need for me.0
-
How's that not existing yet? Must be one click for the developer..0
-
Please implement it. Even 0.99 dolar apps can do it 🙂0
-
Please add this function!
It seems like an obvious miss. It shouldn't be very difficult, as you have all the data and integration with HealthKit.1 -
+1 for me as well. Hidrate Spark user and I want to have the Water nutrient sync’ed from Apple Health into MFP0
-
Is anyone from MyFitnessPal reading these - y updates will be appreciated.0
-
A big +1 to this. I use a separate app to track0
-
Please 🙏0

It’s concerning seeing so many responses in this thread, and so many other threads about this topic, and virtually no developer responses other than it’s being considered. This is a simple update and a big value add for customers, not to mention an important aspect of one’s overall health.0

Mods or devs keep deleting my post, which violated no rules at all. DM me, please, and tell me what rule my post violated? Why did I not receive any strikes? Why would you take down my post and not give me a strike? Very suspicious. Its clear they simply and plainly do not want us to be able to sync Apple Health water to MFP. If anyone is interested, search Apple Shortcut on the MFP subreddit and you'll find my instructions there.

🚨 URGENT: Water tracking integration is THE missing piece holding back your platform's dominance
Please prioritize this feature immediately. Here's why this isn't just another nice-to-have:
The market reality: Your users are already tracking water elsewhere (Hydrate, WaterMinder, Apple Health) because you've left a gaping hole in your ecosystem. You're literally forcing your most engaged users to fragment their health data across multiple apps.
The business case is bulletproof:
- Water consumption happens 8-12x daily vs 3-4 meals → massive engagement opportunity you're missing
- 70% of fitness goals fail due to incomplete tracking → water is the easiest win to keep users consistent
- Every competitor integration you delay is another user saying "maybe I'll just switch to [competitor] instead"
The technical argument: With AI-powered development, this should be a sprint, not a marathon. Auto-detection, voice logging, smart bottle integrations, API connections to existing water apps - these aren't moonshot features anymore, they're table stakes.
Bottom line: You've built the gold standard for food tracking. But health isn't just food - it's hydration too. Your users are literally telling you they need this (look at your feature request volume). Stop making them choose between a complete health picture and staying loyal to your platform.
The longer you wait, the more you're teaching users that MyFitnessPal isn't their complete health solution. Fix this gap before someone else does.
