    May 8th: 67,2 kg
    May 15th: 67,1 kg
    May 22th: 67,5 kg

Successes/struggles of the week: Not an easy week. I did a triathlon last Sunday so I was very hungry and ate a LOT on Monday and Tuesday. Then the rest of the week, I manage to compensate with healthy eating and rest. On Saturday night I overate at a friend’s house party and all my efforts of the week were set to zero... I would like to ba back around 66-67. There is a lot foreseen this week also but I will do my best with health in mind.

Success/Struggle - My weight looks like it is going in the right direction though slowly. I got taken out for breakfast on Thursday (late Mother's day) by my youngest son and out for lunch on Saturday by oldest son. I love it. This time, I actually logged the meals. I'm not good at doing that when I go out so that is my success this week but it was a struggle to do.

Hope all went well with the op, and you have a speedy recovery. The weight will go up for sure, but it’s only temporary as your body deals with the meds and recovery.

I went up 5lbs immediately after two different surgeries…water weight (inflammation believe) As you heal, it is no longer needed & decreases.

I think you already know not to diet at this time & make sure you get the calories - and protein - to rebuild tissue.

You go into a catabolic (sp?) state after surgery. Body is being told to eat more to help you heal.

    Hope this helps a bit

    Hugs

    Successes/Struggles:

10 days post-op – I’m getting out and about, doing my physio exercises, and the walking program. The right leg (the new hip) is swollen but pain is minimal.
My boyfriend is staying with me for a week or two and doing most of the cooking (We have been out for dinner once and lunch once). I’m eating what’s put in front of me without counting calories but I’m prioritising protein and calcium, and not stuffing my face with sweets and doughnuts!

I’m weighing myself out of interest but I know the weight is skewed by fluid retention.

I had plenty to eat but if I could have, I would have eaten a lot more carbs!

    May 31. 164.8 10 day TW, Actual 165.1

LOST 1.5 lbs even with a 5-day vacation & significant disruption due to home renovation. My best month in a long time!♥️

ONE POUND To go to be back in Normal BMI range!

    Successes
**shaving a few grams of foods is
decreasing my calories without my noticing 🤣😂🤣
    Healthy, normal kidney function
** Vacation - no net weight gain
    first time in 5-7 years!!!
    Steps increased
    ** 3 meals only
Calories good - slow & steady
** NEW: Handling “meals out” & occasional desserts very well.
    Increased water intake.
** Excellent CHOL, triglycerides, kidney, glucose etc labs in May 2023!

    Struggles:
Some fatigue/ insomnia- both meds related
    ** Very busy/ stressful
Waiting to see HA1C next month or so
** Still Not back to 10K steps:
thigh pain, knee pain etc & I never have knee pain. Will ask Dr 6/2/23 who prescribed the statin if that could be the culprit. Feeling sorer & older. Working to find a
    solution.
