    I am sure that your sleep is out of whack after traveling.
    Also I remember how you were getting NO sleep basically when you were on those meds.

    Totally relate to the garden getting out of control - in my case because I had no days off for 12. I just had 2 days off and got a bunch done, but not enough. We are extremely windy right now, and dropped down in temperature severely. This day last year was 42c here, this morning it was 7c. Really not good at all for my garden.
    I am ready to reseed my lettuce bed amongst other things, but the gusty winds are preventing me from being able to do that.

    @dawnbgethealthy - I have the opposite problem with weather! With temps over 100 my garden is fried except for the weeds! I'm just basically cleaning things out in hopes that the weather will cool down and I can plant more herbs to help with the Mediterranean dishes I want to cook this summer.

    I'm so glad to have gotten off those meds right as my cruise started. At least the sleepless nights paid off ... I've not coughed since!

    Today mammogram then later this week a follow up visit with the pulmonologist. I know there is still something wrong there but not sure I'm with the right doc yet ... though he did knock out the dry cough with the steroids and heavy dose antibiotics.

    @Lynn__W - I retired in January 2019 as well! By September I was volunteering teaching English (ESL) to adults free through my church program Learn English Ministry 2 days per week. The students which are usually 40-80 years old are from all over the world. I love it. Definitely gives me something that feels like I'm not just being self indulgent :)
    Congrats on taking the job and finding joy in it!!!

    Oh and the aches and pains these days ... when will they sort themselves out? Got to keep moving! Senior mobility and all. Use it or lose it!

    Ultimate goal 70 kg
    Day 7 Wednesday June 21 78.1 kg. Every day it isn't raining I go for at least a 60 min walk. While walking I look out for dropped coins. So far I have found 90 cents (US 54 cents) I plan to save it all and buy myself a non food treat at the end of the Challenge.

    @tinathescreamer - I like to walk as well! Great idea looking for coins. I got in the habit of looking for bolts, screws, nails, metal objects when at our fishing camp because the walk was toward the boat ramp and the road was bumpy. The boat trailers would lose all kinds of things that could give someone a flat tire.
    Now at my home I still look for them ... Found one on my walk just last week in an unusual area of a street crossing. Picked up the bolt so someone doesn't have a miserable day :)

    4. I am still ahead of the game and these challenges are working for me. It is up & down and slower than I would like but it’s generally working. I’ve got to try harder and put in the work. When I do, clearly the results are much better.

    Day 06-06/20-196.8-(Trend weight 196.1) I’ve really been wasting June. The opportunity to eat right is there every day and the weather has been good for extra outside activity. Lots of excuses but, in the end, really no excuse whatsoever and nothing that should stand in the way.

I’ll try pushing water today again. I had my truck repair appointment out-of-town at the dealership wrong. It wasn’t Monday, it is tomorrow. Luckily my daughter has her head on straight and we didn’t go. LOL. Today I take my two teen grandsons for their haircuts at my salon. Lunch afterwards. Since I’ll be out of town tomorrow for that 7 hour repair and 3 hour total drive, I’ll skip lunch today and just watch them eat.

    @deepwoodslady - You've mentioned the water pill a couple of times this past week. I apologize since I didn't go back and read everything while I was out on vacation 15 days. You were taking the water pills due to high blood pressure I thought. Did the heart doctor take you off the water pill or the nutritionist? Were they concerned about ongoing usage damaging your kidneys?

    Keep drinking that water!!! And if possible put your feet up higher than your heart to reduce the swelling at least once per day.

    Day 1 Thursday June 15 -- 143.3
    Day 2 Friday June 16 -- 142.1 – This is encouraging. Decrease is probably water retention from last week's heavy carb & sugar diet. Stayed in control with food intake yesterday. No exercise tho.

    1st week goal weight: 142.3
    1st week actual weight: 142.1

    Day 3 Saturday June 17 142.4 - Out for dinner and cocktails with friends last night. Stayed in control with minimum carbs, and sugar from 2 glasses of pinot grigio.
    Day 4 Sunday June 18 142.5 – 3 days in the 142’s. Hope to be in the 141’s by tomorrow.
    Day 5 Monday June 19 142.5
    Day 6 Tuesday June 20 142.7 – Still hanging in the 142s. Leaving for a short trip on Thursday night. Won’t be weighing in from Fri – Sun. I just hope I can at least maintain my current weight. Next Mon / Tues will tell all.
    Day 7 Wednesday June 21 143.1 - Unnecessary carb intake yesterday. Need to put in a workout this afternoon.
