6/22 - 167.7 (-1.1 lb)
6/23 - 168.8 (0 lb) - In office day yesterday. Walked a lot and ate a lot too. 2 hour commute really ruin my energy even though it’s just sitting in train😣 and I end up making bad choices for food.
6/24 - 168.6( -.2lb) decent day food wise. I logged most of that. Went to gym as well. 🤞🏼🤞🏼
6/25 -169.8 at 6 am and 168.8 at 8 am. Only difference, two hour 😴. Considering 169.8 as weight since this is my regular weigh in time. Other than chomping crossiant with Nutella, I did pretty good yesterday.

Thank you all for being back for another round to share the accountability! This month has not been stellar for me. I've been maintaining in a 165-167 range for a few weeks now...which I suppose is better than it heading all up...but my goal is to maintain at about 20lbs lighter than this. So much life going on and not much routine which really messes me up. I would like to get consistently into the 164s this round to show some progress.
Female - 51yrs - 5'5"
Goal weight - to hang out somewhere 145-150
R226 End Weight 6/20 - 166.6 - which was a 1lb gain for the round
6/21 - 165.8 - yesterday we did our dog walk down by the lake where it was cooler, got in a good 5k towards our challenge goal for the Canadian Cancer Society...we're at 45/50km for the month so we should meet our goal by the end of the week...if not tomorrow. I'd like to hit 55km though as I raised $550 so 1km for every $10 sounds like a reasonable target. It's a hot one today and I didn't get an early start to say the least so it will be a shorter walk on the shady side of the street.
6/22 - 166.0 - Sigh.....walked a lot yesterday but didn't manage the calorie intake very well. Boys had their school athletic banquet last night so hubby and I walked to a local spot for dinner...I had the rice noodle special (the owner and chef of this place is from the Philippines and her noodles are so good) so I'm feeling some sodium bloat today.
6/23 - 166.8 - wrong direction. I really need to get things back on track. I have been so lazy with tracking and logging calories and I'm not making healthy choices. I think the only thing that's keeping the scale numbers from being even higher is that I'm maintaining a pretty robust activity level.
6/24 - 166.2
6/25 - DNW - Overslept and rushed out yesterday to drive up for work...forgot to post and pack the scale for my overnight at mom and dads. I was going to go our for a kayak after dinner last night but it the weather was iffy and I hate getting caught out on the river...it had stormed earlier so that makes me nervous.

@_JeffreyD_ One day, I went to pick my son up from my moms and she said they had fun fishing but she was on her way to get the hook removed from her head…..my son had hooked her. A few years later, my husband hooked our son in the head. Crazy.
My husband hooked my son in the back of the head when he stood up on the boat at "the perfect" time a few years back. Those kids apparently make for a good catch.5 -
@jspecies11 I'm going to Tears for Fears in Toronto on Thursday!!! With my bestie from elementary and high school (and now LOL, we ended up in the same city as adults and re-connected, now we live minutes away from each other again). We saw Duran Duran last September...reliving our youth and proving that the reason I can't remember why I walked into the room is only because my head is filled with 80's song lyrics.5

I’m making some progress against the encroahments with my 3-hour weed & grass pulling workouts. Whew! I make it all bearable by thinking of the calories burning and muscles building. 😁 It does make me hungry, but I’m mostly sticking to the plan. All good.
6/22 - 183.6
Other than a piece of apple pie a friend brought over, yesterday was perfect. I did lots of yard work and even blocked a lace wrap I finished knitting a few months ago (pic below — color doesn’t show well, but it’s a dark brownish purple). I’m planning a workout this morning of moving a few plants that are in the wrong spots and not thriving. It’s not supposed to be so hot today, so that’s a relief. 90F yesterday, but forecast high today is 74. Sounds good! Enjoy your day, all!

Weird. I remember writing a post yesterday, but I can’t find it. I probably hit Done instead of post. Oh well! Happy Saturday!

Aaack! Salt and, let’s be honest, too much blankety blank food. I’m beginning to think I should go to bed at 9 p.m. before I start snacking! I’ll try to do better today, and tomorrow and tomorrow and… With all the yard work I’m doing, if I didn’t snack I’d be skinny by now. Sigh.

Round 227
June 21 – June 30, 2023
61 year old female, 5’5”. I am married, semi-nomadic (we live in three states, Mass, Maine, Florida).
SW WW Sept 29, 2001 - 168.8 (initially lost 29.8, became staff, then weight up and down 18 years with low of 126.8)
SW MFP Sept 14, 2020 – 153 (lost 40, then stress took off another 2.2 lb with low of 120.8, then stress became gain)
SW current MFP Jan 1, 2023 – 146.6
GW Maintaining between 124 - 126
Continuing to figure out maintaining, and to work on best nutrition and exercise.
History:Harry and Han are our cats, who travel with us. Have two “kids”, who are very much adults, a DGS, and second GS on the way. We have three parents, 88(father), 86(mother), 84(MIL) still with us, and I have logically been needing to help them more as they age. I got my act in gear during COVID, somewhat inspired by NOT becoming my parents. I lost 30 lbs and was exercising daily. Unfortunately, I am an “all in or not” person. Hubby and I seeing our family home and downsizing distractions, plus medical incident with my father and all their new needs, became an excuse. A year and a half later, I gained 25 lbs and lost all my athletic improvements. I need to figure out balance and how to make health be a daily priority for life!

6/21 (mass) – 124.8 (Renpho 124.6) Back to middle of my range, which is good. Kitties had their wt checks this morning and chubby cat is up and skinny cat is down. Wrong direction for each of them. I did get on the IC4 yesterday. Only 30 minutes, BUT I got on it. I have to remember that I have these options in the house and need to take advantage of them. Today is time again with my parents. Medical runs with my father. Tomorrow is also my parents. Legal runs with them both.
6/22 (mass) – 124.4 (Renpho 124.4) Good new. Tracking good yesterday. Pathetic 15 minutes on the IC4, but that is more than zero exercise that today may bring. Today is picking up my parents, long drive to lawyer. Let them address their needs. Get them home. Return to my condo and pack and clean to go to maine. Walk the cats, then drive a half hour to my daughter’s for a family celebration of my MIL’s 84 birthday. Head back to the condo again. Finish packing and loading car. Drive to maine, unpack and settle in. Nothing bad in it, just busy-ness.
6/23 (maine) – 123.6 Wishing I had brought the Renpho travel scale with me to cross check. Number seems too low to be logical. Yesterday had been a wild day, small breakfast, then after dropping home my parents (which included medical drama to, from and during the legal meeting) I snagged one of their chocolate bars for lunch. Getting home, I saw the now hard remains of the melted chocolate from cooking for the birthday party. I proceeded to eat all that. Then had Chinese food at the party (controlled but not tracked), and then triffle, which was unfortunately two small servings. No exercise yesterday. Ironically, I was starving at 10 PM last night. Anyhow, the numbers will shake out and show the reality with time. Good or bad. Note: the only other time I have seen "surprise" 123.X numbers were on my scale in maine as well.
6/24 (maine) – 125.0 Yup, scale works fine. :P Diet was great yesterday, and then it wasn’t. Simple, straightforward binge behavior. BUT I did track it all. Was over my target (which is still technically below maintenance) by 1400 calories. Lots and Lots of carbs. Going to pretrack today. Hopefully, I will also convince myself to do exercise. Lately, it is raining like 5 or 6 out of 7 days. This is NOT normal for here and nor normal temps for this time of year. It’s becoming and excuse. Not good.
6/25 (maine) – 126.2 Ok, so posting later than usual this morning. I did weigh first thing, but wanted to get myself together before posting. Need to break my new habits, as yesterday was bad …. Again. Today, I weighed even though I did not want to. I got outside and walked/ran 6 miles in 78 minutes. I then used the mfp recipe builder to calculate the nutritional info on tonight’s recipes, and then tracked it. We’re entertaining tonight, and I am doing new recipes. Only after all that am I posting to you all. Today looks like a proper day! Yay!

@rtls Sorry dining out is stressing you out. Two years ago (previous MFP efforts), I figured out how to enjoy dining out while losing weight. I have two appetizers, or two non-entrees. I’ll do a Caesar salad, and then the bacon wrapped scallop appetizer, or some such combo. I get portion controlled decadence. It makes me happy all around. No regrets!!
@fmfdfa2020 What beautiful work! Thank you for sharing!
To the fishing peeps, @tishawj @AR10at50 @_JeffreyD_ Hubs has been out on the ocean the past two days. Friday to catch mackerel for bait, and then yesterday doing catch and release striped bass. We have been fortunate with only two incidents on our boat the last 25 years. One a fishing rod kick back to the face that resulted in ER stitches and one hook in a finger that led to drawing straws for who had to help the injured party. Growing up though, on my FIL’s boat, my husband, then a child, got a blue fish treble hook through his finger. At the ER, they had to get a janitor to get his tools to cut the barb and take it out. Since I get seasick, I am never there and not in danger. :P

What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.
People say keto/LCHF isn’t sustainable. I’ve been doing it for over 6 years with amazing results!
This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.
We are unstoppable not because we do not have failures but because we continue on despite them. - paraphrase of original quote by Beau Taplin

6/22 129.0 I forgot there was going to be community bingo last night. The “meal” was fried chicken, sweet coleslaw (🤮) and cookies.
6/23 129.0 Fasted 21.5 hours yesterday. Doing that again today but eating earlier to try to get back on MY schedule. Tomorrow is DGGS’s first birthday party - he’ll be 1 on Sunday. Time sure does fly!
6/24 128.5 I made some fat bombs last night so I can have a “splurge” now and then or satisfy that “I want something but don’t know what” evenings. “greenandketo” has lots of recipes. My total carbs were 8g and I was below my fat macro.
6/25 129.0 It’s all good. Baby’s birthday party in the park was warm (95*F) but DGD (mom) did a wonderful job with everything. I avoided all foods except one large chocolate chip cookie. I didn’t have enough water - it was available but I didn’t drink it.
A picture of the birthday boy an his cake. He wouldn’t eat it. He is the only kid I know who doesn’t like sugar!

Round 227: JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS
Hi, I’m Amanda, almost 50, wicked short 4’11” from New England.
DONE: My 1st goal is for mid-June (trip to LA/Vegas),
2nd goal for mid-August.
Appreciate all your support.

6/21: DNW
6/22: 121.0 ⬆️Had the best time on my vacation/visit family trip.
It wasn’t about fitting in everything/seeing all the sights: it was a slower time for me to do what I enjoy and to see family that I haven’t seen in almost 10 years.
I was about 115 the morning of my flight.
Today is 121, so bloated and gained 6 pounds, which I will get rid of, plus a few more for my August birthday goal.

6/24 – 118.0 ⬇️
Went to my boss’s funeral, my amazing boss of 16 years.
His wife’s eulogy reminded us all to go out there and enjoy life. That’s what I intend to do!
6/25 – 115.0 ⬇️
So in 3 days since I've been home, I “lost” the 6# that I “gained” on my vacation (eating a lot of carbs/noodles/bread). My body is THIS sensitive to carbs.
Now that clothes are fitting better, I need to incorporate more weight training to manage all the flab.
But it’s been SOOOOOO humid here that all I want to do is sit in front of an air conditioner (I hate heat and stickiness).

thanks @quiltingjaine for the fat bomb links
this may be a tricky road for me to go down: I may want to eat it all!!!!

26 June 66.4kg 32.3% - went over 2000 calories, no exercise. I wasn't expecting any good results. Treated myself yesterday to icecream as I had spent a good chunknof my Sunday applying for a job. It opened my eyes to how indulgent icecream is, high in fat, sugar, calories and carbs! Definitely a treat and not an everyday thing. I try not to eat much dairy usually anyway, but I like sharing it with my cats because they love it so much haha! This week my goal is to continue what I have been doing as well as start getting up early in the morning and job hunting then so I have free weekends. 🙌🏼

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS: One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

65 yr young F, 5ft 4 Round 227 (my 158th). Thank you @quiltingjaine for the new round.
Goal this round is yet again the same as last; to get back under and stay under 139. Really try to stay on track. After all I am what I eat in more ways than one, my whole demeanour is totally different when I am happy with myself!!Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve my under 130 target; back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 134. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.SW Round 227 140.4

6/21 140.4 – a successful food day yesterday, not quite in calories or macros due to heavy prolonged periods of rain during the times when I normally walk to and from work & home for lunch – had to use the car ☹. Now to make the 10 days count. DD taking me out for afternoon tea today as a belated birthday treat, going to enjoy it but NOT use it as a catalyst to start a binge.
6/22 140.6 – 10.1 mils walked. Kept to my word, enjoyed the day with DD, a delicious lunch and walking before and after, did not let that prompt a binge so excess calories restricted to a sensible limit!
6/23 141 – calories & macros over as no structured walking due to child minding little DGS.
6/24 139.8 – at last back below 140! 11.69 miles yesterday, some of which were ‘dancing miles’ ! Only sat 2 dances out between 8 & 10pm, admittedly some were quite slow (rumba, waltz), but many others very quick (jive, quickstep, cha cha cha, samba). 60% exercise calories eaten back & all macros in green.
6/25 141 – sigh! 11 miles walked yesterday & weeding, deadheading and general garden tirying for a good hour and a half, 75%exercise calories eaten back, 29g carbs over.
6/26 140.4 – travelled almost 2 hours each way up to Sheffield to support DS in his first ever running event: a 20K timed staged race, power walked across city after watching him start to cheer him on halfway and then back to see him finish – those of you who know the city will also know how steep the hills are there, so half of those 8.72 miles walked were up steep & prolonged hills !! It was a challenge to get to both midway stage & then finish !! So proud of him finishing in 1 hour 50 and he had even more hills to run up than we walked!!

6/21 – 136.4 lbs - Down --- lbs this round and 1.4 lbs to goal; 165.21/210 miles for June.
6/22 – 136.0 lbs - Down 0.4 lbs this round and 1.0 lbs to goal; 169.77/210 miles for June.
6/23 – 136.2 lbs - Down 0.2 lbs this round and 1.2 lbs to goal; 179.9/210 miles for June. My energy has been a bit low the last few days, but I have continued to walk, at least. My concentration at work has slowly been improving – it is a week on the new meds, now. My hunger is totally in check; I have eaten less than 1454 calories for 3 days in a row, which is very moderate, for me.
6/24 – 136.2 lbs - Down 0.2 lbs this round and 1.2 lbs to goal; 185/210 miles for June. I am meeting my niece for brunch today and I took the time to look up the menu and try to pick something out that has lower calories and sufficient protein. I’ve pre-logged it in MFP so now all I have to do is make sure to order what I picked. Lol. I had a nice walk with the dog this morning; we were out for 2 hours but I did let him stop and sniff quite a bit, so we were not walking that whole time. I did not do any running as I am feeling a bit fatigued today, again.
6/25 – 135.6 lbs – Down 0.8 lbs this round and 0.6 lbs to goal! 194.4/210 miles for June. I did NOT order what I was supposed to at brunch yesterday but my calories for the day were still within my range (1569) so that worked out okay. (I had a big lunch so wasn’t very hungry for the rest of the day, which may be how “normal” people feel?) I ended up walking over 23K steps yesterday, so that made up for it, I guess.
6/26 – 135.4 lbs – Down 1.0 lb this round and 0.4 lbs to goal! 198.82/210 miles for June. I am getting very close to my weight goal as well as my steps goal! I haven’t been posting in the group as I feel I don’t have much to say or contribute. Also, I have been pretty fatigued. But I am pleased with my numbers today so I think I will share. 😊 I’m on vacation this week and most of next week. Hubby is home for 2 weeks unexpectedly. The goal is to NOT mess up my weightloss and exercise goals while he is here. Last night we ordered pizza. Whoops. Not off to a good start. However, I logged it and still wasn’t over my calorie goal, miraculously. I am noticing that I actually am not unhappy with how my body looks when I look in the mirror. I am even close to happy, at times, which is frickin’ bizzare. I am also not unhappy with the number on the scale. My brain is accepting of the fact that even if I do not make it to 135 exactly, I am basically at goal. And I am only slightly tempted to move the goal weight to 130. I honestly don’t see why I should, if I am pleased with the number on the scale and somewhat happy with what I see in the mirror and the size of my pants. I think I will feel better after I have skin removal surgeries, especially my hips/butt and arms. My thighs bother me sometimes as I have saggy skin and I see people looking at it sometimes (I have decided that I am wearing shorts cuz whatever). But some of the time I am actually proud of my saggy thighs? I mean, they are proof that I used to be close to 400 lbs (as far as I know, as once I got past 350 I could not find a scale that could weigh me for a few years) and now I am a “regular” size. And although some people may be disgusted or critical, it is possible that maybe some people who are “athletic” might see me trying to run and think I am amazing. And maybe some people who are struggling with obesity will see that and be encouraged, somehow. The fact that my brain is not going ONLY to the negative possibility is … incredible. I am proud of how far I have come. 😊

6/21 217.2. Thus continues the mysterious weight gain. I looked leaner in the mirror at yoga today, so pffft to the scale. Today is Summer Solstice & I had planned a 21 day fast. I think I have talked myself out of it since I am going through enough although it might be a good time to control something in my life. I guess I will see tomorrow lol
6/22 216.2. I decided not to fast. I feel it would add too much additional stress at this time. While I am not eating my feelings, I do need sleep & I also need to exercise. The days that I exercise I feel the fog lifting so I need to keep at it. Yesterday I took a 1hr sunrise walk & did 45 minutes of sun salutations before my 1 hour yoga class. It was supposed to be an easy Yin class, but it was not. I am sore today but will enjoy my morning walk & yoga.
6/23 215.8. I know a whoosh will happen any minute. My skin is lumpy in areas that I carry fat. I just have to be patient & resist the urge to go off track. My emotional brain is telling me to be kind to myself, splurge, indulge in comfort food, do some pampering. I know my ultimate goal is to lose weight & wear a size 6/8 again. I have lost my sense of urgency & I won’t punish myself & cancel my February cruise, but I am going to eat healthy & indulge in hot yoga & other forms of self care that will improve the way I feel more than any treat food will.

6/26 216.8 I am still working through my bio father discovery. My husband is very supportive. I bought a 3 month unlimited hot yoga pass because that helps me. I am also joining a women’s walking group. I tried to make it there this morning but it started to rain hard. I will be meeting my new half siblings in 3 weeks if all goes well. I haven’t decided if I will meet my bio father. I will ask him if he is interested in meeting me but the siblings are very excited. I find that I look like hell. I don’t know if it is depression or shock or all in my head, but hopefully that improves in the next little bit.
