@BittersweetVita I am definitely in your corner rooting for you! It seems you have had a rough go of it. I too am a cancer survivor, and it is recent. I heard talk of “survivor support” and wondered how much support a survivor would need because after all, they survived, they should be happy right? Well now that I’m here, I get it. This is a new normal and it is taking some getting used to. And still with all the appointments!

I’m a cruncher by nature, so on the way to work I’ll pick up a veg tray as my chip substitution for the next few days.
Plus, swimming makes me ravenous! I need these easy healthy snacks to conquer the munchies!

4 months ago I was diagnosed with diabetes. Since then I’ve changed to a much more healthy lifestyle. I’ve never done a challenge before, but would like to join this group and try. I count calories on mfp.

07/04-195.4-(Trend Weight 197.2)- A very nice drop overnight. I consider this loss water weight. I’ve been propping my legs at least 30 minutes per day (heels over heart) since they took away my water pill due to my blood pressure getting too low (and to protect kidneys). Yesterday evening and all night I shed water (finally). Ankles are so relieved! However, the last two days no TMI and the last two nights only 3 hours of sleep and fitbit shows that even those 3 were not of any quality. More loss to come if I can get those two things in order. BBQ today so I will likely eat out of plan. I’ll watch quantity. I’ve already made some SF Jello with SF whipped cream so I’ll be okay on the dessert front. However, I WILL be adding some festive red & blue sprinkles on top!
07/05-195.4-(Trend Weight 197.0)- I was over on both calories and carbs yesterday due to the holiday BBQ but the scale played favorites with me today. However, I am traveling today to get the recall work done on the car this time. Probably a little shopping also while in the city. I’m sure the scale will not sustain my weight two days in a row. But I’m hopeful that if I’m mindful and I tiptoe, I won’t wake that baby up!
07/06-196.6-(Trend Weight 197)- Well, I knew the holiday and the travel would catch up to me. Today, however, should be a banner day. Babysitting overnight and all day tomorrow for DGS. Tomorrow, he will keep me on my toes!

Hi! My name is Carol, I'm 59, married, two adult children, retired, live in Texas. I'm 5'2", I was at a good weight for me for several years but last fall after my annual physical and lipids test, I relaxed my eating and haven't been able to regain control since. Would like to lose 7-8 pounds by the end of August.
My main hobby is gardening! This year I grew a lot of cut flowers and also peppers and tomatoes. I also enjoy genealogy and piano.

I have a question. I’m a bit challenged technologically. How do I use a ‘form’ as Jill suggested on her first post? I weigh myself every day or so and would like to keep a running loss. I use an iPad, but do have a laptop that I can use.
