Hello!
I've been using MFP for 10 years, but never posted onto the community until now. The app has aided me in my health and fitness journey.
I've been at a healthy weight most of my life. I've dealt with self image issues driven by low self esteem and growing up in home where mental health wasn't addressed, and poverty impacted our access, therefore my understanding, of food.
During graduate school,
I experienced weight gain, and realized I was self medicating with food. I lost 35 pounds after a steady 5 year gain. I've been up and down the same 10 pounds for 10 years, and I'm happy with the progress.
I've built and maintained healthy habits, like strength and cardio training, and a healthier relationship with food. Thank you for listening if you're still here. ❀️ Lisa
