Staying Off SARMS

Anyone else slightly concerned at the prevalence of SARM usage - especially at such young ages? See it all over tiktok - and young women especially seem to find it 'better' than traditional tren injections.
We all want capped delts and *kitten*, but what are some good reasons to stay off the SARM juice?

I have no idea what sarms is, but I’m guessing it’s just another steroid. Reasons for staying off it? If you’re a competitive sports person it’s illegal and could lead to disqualification (if caught). Most growth enhancers aren’t medically controlled, meaning they might not be pure, you don’t know what you’re getting, or the dosage limitations. Steroids can cause a whole host of nasty side effects from the ego denting acne to heart and blood vessel issues. Again, amateur use and dosage is dangerous as most people don’t exactly get a full health work up before deciding to experiment.
So yeah, for me personally my health and longevity is far more important than developing an Insta-ready physique for strangers to ogle. But there are one or two serious body builders on here who’ve done stuff before - they might debate their side!0 -
If someone really wants to get hold of a PED, they will. Unfortunately you can only reach the ones who are willing to listen. And unfortunately, young people between the teens and up to 30 don't very well.

SARMS aren't steroids. They're steroid like.
In reality, injecting testosterone is much safer if only because testosterone is naturally produced by humans, and therefore meant to be in your body at some level. Humans can tolerate testosterone.
The abuse is all dictated by the levels people put into their body.
It's ironic that celebrities like the Rock, Chris Hemsworth and Christian Bale pump themselves up with the juice for their image. But anyone else is vilified.
Than you have TRT/HRT, cancer medications and transgender injections, all that injection steroids, or steroid compounds.
If people are educated, get blood tested and want to do it. I'm not worried.1 -

I’m completely indifferent to what other people choose to use in their own bodies, I’m only making these particular points in answer to the OPs question.

From USADA.org: Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators (SARMs) are a class of therapeutic compounds that have similar anabolic properties to anabolic steroids, but with reduced androgenic (producing male characteristics) properties. As an example, the androgen receptor is activated by binding androgens, such as testosterone. Unlike anabolic steroids, which bind to androgen receptors in many tissues all over the body, individual SARMs selectively bind androgen receptors in certain tissues, but not in others.
In medical settings, this could be very useful for stimulating specific tissue growth like muscle and bone, while avoiding unwanted side effects in other tissues like the liver or skin. SARMs are being evaluated as a clinical treatment for muscle-wasting caused by several diseases, such as osteoporosis, cancer, heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, end-stage liver disease, end-stage renal disease, and HIV.
Health risks: The FDA has warned consumers about potential life-threatening side effects from SARMs, including an increased risk of heart attack and stroke.
The long-term effects of using SARMs are unknown.
That would do it for me since some sort of cardiovascular incident will probably be what kills me, considering family history and personal risk factors. But I'm old and sensible.
Young people typically shrug off warnings like "increased risk of..." because they're young and invincible and it won't happen to them. Might dissuade a few but most will ignore it.3 -
Watched a news video about these recently (can't recall where but was uk based) and people were able to get hold of them in nutrition shops and the salespeople were telling the undercover reporter that they were completely safe. I don't have an issue with people making informed choices on things like this but when someone is lying about the potential health risk it's another matter.
If I can find the video I'll link it later.
Edit - found it - https://youtu.be/7Ww0xWf-OIw
I misremembered, the seller didn't exactly say they were completely safe but did say no side effects so I guess in a roundabout way they were saying they were safe.0
