You can’t deprive yourself for life. And this weight management thing is very much a life long marathon, not a sprint. That said, The problem is that once I taste sugar, it makes me crave it more. I think that’s what sugar is designed to do. What should be a very sporadic thing, turns into a regular thing. I’ve never been able to find that happy medium. I’m better off not having it at all, at least for now, until I can manage the craving better.
I could have written this myself, a while back. (Also what you wrote earlier about stress eating, and taking care of everyone else’s needs before your own.) I never could manage sugar either… “just a little bit” would unfailingly turn into a full-blown binge. What finally fixed it for me was reading Allen Carr’s Easy Way to Quit Emotional Eating. I no longer have to manage cravings, because I no longer have cravings. There are no words to fully describe how free I feel now that I’m no longer hooked on sugar. And seriously all I did was read a book.

11/01-181.2-(Trend Weight: 184.5)- I have not eaten any of the leftover candy from Halloween as of yet. I say that with puffy chest, proudly boasting because chocolate is my drug and I am an addict. If it makes it until Friday 5:00 pm it will all go to my teenaged grandchildren when I see them. Good luck everyone in November.
11/06-195.4-(Trend Weight: 184.3)- Clearly, November has not been good for me so far. Too much travel and celebrations already. Even today I am traveling. I really need to get past all this and give myself some healthy space between now and Thanksgiving (and all the upcoming travel for Christmas shopping too!) Wow, this is such a tough time of year! It is difficult to live in such a rural area with no local shopping. Otherwise I could duck in, get what I need and get home where things go well and all is so much more controlled.

So all my sister's came to town. And we went out to eat and to a concert and etc, etc.
Second week of weight gain now. And next weekend is a girls weekend away with my friends. I think I might have to become a hermit if I am to loose weight.
There are just so many fun things and temptations that go along with them.

11/13-183.8-(Trend Weight: 184.3)- It was an up & down week due to travel, restaurants and the inactivity (sitting) that comes with it. But I’m glad to see the scale is down from last week even if it was actually even lower a couple of days ago. My trend weight also dipped down, then back up again with the travel gain. I’m still ahead of the game though and feeling so-so going into the Thanksgiving season soon. I hope I can drop down to my low Nov 1st weight before turkey and pie day.

There was a whoosh last week so Friday I was getting really optimistic. That all the weight gain was just hormonal. But then I had a big weekend and the whoosh disappeared.
So know I will have to focus now. If I am to make my end of year goal. I assume some is just water weight and bloat from eating things I don't normally eat.
The outdoors are Abit meeh. These days below freezing and dark when I leave for work and dark when I return from work.
So today I am driving to a well lit path.
