No progress this week. Oh hell. Only have myself to blame. Back on the wagon now, just got to be very good this week and next and should hit my target- no reason why not.

:flowerforyou: Good luck on the weigh ins ladies!! I want to skip it but I KNOW BETTER!!! I have been loving the sugar and I will step on the scale to take the hit. Its crazy this is the first time I got w/in a lb of my goal for the 6 week challenge and now I am trying to gain it back!! NO WAY!!!:grumble: I will get it together promise.
Welcome back Tiff- good luck on the test
Rhiannon- Any advice that I give to this group is FREE because I love the SIXERS.
Leith- Soemtimes the tissue needs more time to adapt to the new shape of the tooth. However brushing to hard or w/ a hard toothbrush can cause bleeding also. I would give him some more time to heal and if it keeps happening ask the dentist for a good mouth rinse that you can use for the teeth to help you know he is getting them clean, while you lighten up on the brushing in that area.
Ava- It is very common for people to grind. It is something I see often in children in the office. We recommend patients to get a small sport mouth guard that you use warm water to mold to the teeth and use that to protect the teeth. First look in her mouth for smooth spots on the teeth, the baby teeth show grinding evidence after a small amt of time. Her appointment in July will be fine. The dentist won't worry about it as long as her teeth don't bother her. It is also common for chips to appear on the two front teeth.... baby teeth are just made of softer substance.

I LOVE TaeBo too - such a great workout! My livingroom is a weird shape for it but I manage. I need to find mine... I'll have to see if I can find any of the others you have mentioned. And I know there's no good news for me on the scale tomorrow either. Bummer. But I'm with you - I just need to face it and move on.
My Mum and I may be going to the gym tomorrow mid-day so that will be something! I have to start acknowledging some of the really difficult emotions I'm having these days because not confronting the depth of those feelings is allowing me to totally sabotage myself. SO illogical but I know that's what's happening. Also, I've changed my weight loss goals to 1 lb a week. For my height, my body is only a couple of lbs away from being in the healthy BMI range and when I add breastfeeding into the picture I think it's just a better plan. Upon reflection, I realized that since getting into the 170's in the first place, I've had a MUCH harder time taking / keeping weight off. It's all an experiment right?

i have a lose this week of 1.2 pounds. i keep track of everything and i burned a little over 3500 calories. i wanted to see what happens. now that i did, it's a goal for me.

OMG! I had a LOSS!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!! I have not been to the gym in nearlly two weeks just due to the sickness and busyness. I haven't tracked my food in a while and I still had a loss? CRAZY! But I am not complaining. Just goes to show, if you obsess over it too much, it can sabotage you. But I have just been kinda breezy about it. Heck, I even let myself have a small milkshake yesterday. Hey Ladies :happy:
Sorry Ive been MIA for the past few weeks..The week before Spring break I was slammed with tests, quizzes and all. It was awful. Then last week -the actual week of Spring Break I spent working at my sisters..and was completely slammed! I had a cold for a little over a week and didnt go to the gym..and couldnt go to the gym while I was at my sisters. I did go jogging 2x while there, but I didnt have any time for anything else.
Im still at 165.6lbs as of yesterday. So no gain, no loss! I'm going to try to get in the gym today or some form of exercise..I think that may help with my stress and anxiety!!

connie...it's ok, your body is adjusting to the new changes. and i am sure it loves it. you will have a drop one week that will shock you.

Remember that even if the numbers don't move, you are being HEALTHY.
You are eating healthier. You are exercising, improving your heart function and your lung capacity and your overall health. You are teaching your kids to be healthy.
Keep those things in mind when the scale doesn't move. Your efforts are not in vain.

Woohoo!!! Finally lost again!! so happy!!!!!!!! I think my goal for this challenge may just be to creep back down to the 149 I had achieved around Christmas. We shall see. Have spring break and a conference in Chicago next week as well as a visit to my sister in boston so there will be lots of temptation, not a lot of working out. But a lot of walking for sure!!!!
hung out with the boy again last night, tends to be our Monday night ritual. I think I've accepted that for now we are probably just Best Friends but that is a great place to start so I won't complain!

I was all excited yesterday, it was in the 50's. So, I washed sheets and comforters and threw on my boots to go hang the wash on the line... I went down the stairs of the deck, and started across the yard to the line... And promptly sunk to my knees in the snow:grumble: :grumble: :grumble: . We still have 18 inches of snow on the ground, I'm not quite ready to say summer yet!0 -

Still 18 inches of snow, YUCK!!! We have finallly started moving towards the 70s here in North Central Iowa and we are HAPPY! I work at Harley-Davidson so it is SUPER exciting when the riders come out! I love the sound of a Harley! Can't wait unitl I learn to ride!

Hey Ladies!
I am not going to weigh in. The gall bladder attacks are horrible right now. The eating and exercise are out the window for sure. I called the surgeon today and said we need to do this asap. My paperwork is being sent today to the scheduler. My surgeon is on call too this week so if it gets really bad then I am to take myself into the ER. I think I can make it. I would much rather it be planned than to be an emergency.
I love the name Sixers Spring into Summer !

Well ladies.... I lost 1 lb. I am happy with that for sure. I am proud of my progress this 6 weeks. Though it wasn't all fun I did produce some good results. I actually set a goal that I could meet, now thats progress. I appreciate all the support here. That's why I stay focused. Thanks Sixers!!:drinker:
Congrats to everyone who had the guts to post!!! It is such a struggle sometimes. But learning to deal with our actions is half the battle.
Katie- I am proud of you!! I second your comment on when you stop obsessing over it, it finally happens. I worked out hrs on hrs and when I moved down to 1 hr a day.. I got results. Our bodies don't like too much stress of any type. Good luck! Put a star on your calendar!! Hooray!
Tudor- Congrats! Work hard this week too!
Connie- Keep at your goal... The weight is coming off soon. Promise!

Well, work was too busy today, got a little lunch break, dog went to the bathroom in the house after he was outside 30 mins.... made me sooooo mad and A lady at work is on a power trip about reimbursing me my money for my license. Sooooo silly but I will be better soon.
