    3. I am still down 11.8 pounds from the first challenge (#1)
    4. I am still ahead of the game and these challenges are working for me. It is up & down and slower than I would like but it’s generally working. I’ve got to continue to dedicate myself and put in the work. When I do, clearly the results are much better.

Luckily today is going to be a quiet day at home since my family dinner celebration that I host will be on Saturday. This will give me time to cook, bake, clean and hopefully make some good choices until then. Also I hope to fit in some extra exercise even though you can’t outrun (or out-exercise) the fork.     CURRENT STRENGTH TRAINING REGIMEN
    Strength Training Mini Challenge Round #8:
    I will continue to work on batwing arms and flabby thighs. I will also try to engage in some floor/standing/chair exercising to tighten stomach area especially. I will try to add in some aerobic exercise like walking or dancing or the exercise bike AT LEAST 5 days a week. This is not my dream, it is my pledge to myself.


    Day 01 - Nov 20 – 5 min with arm loop resistance band, 30 min of brisk walking at 4 mph with video, 15 min of gen floor exercises/pilates, Iso knee therapy x 3.
    Day 02 - Nov 21 – 6 min with 5 lb weights, 30 min on exercise bike, 30 min of brisk walking 4 mph with video, 15 min of gen floor exercises/pilates, Iso knee therapy x 2.
    Day 03 - Nov 22 – 31 min on exercise bike, 60 min of Slow walking, 15 min of gen floor exercises, Iso knee therapy x 1.

I feel like I’m already back to square one. This will take a lot of work to get back off! Today I clean, food prep and bake for tomorrow’s big Thanksgiving dinner. I’m looking forward to some traditional holiday foods and desserts, but not for the overall damage to my plan. I’ll have to send away as many leftovers as I can get them to take.

    I will continue to work on batwing arms and flabby thighs. I will also try to engage in some floor/standing/chair exercising to tighten stomach area especially. I will try to add in some aerobic exercise like walking or dancing or the exercise bike AT LEAST 5 days a week. This is not my dream, it is my pledge to myself.

    I notice that the cornucopia is: turkey, apples, vegetables.
    Thus apple pie, pumpkin pie, turkey and potatoes. Many people have green beans, sweet potato, brussels sprouts.
    In Canada we celebrate the harvest as Thanksgiving. So many lovely veggies.

    I hope that everyone is enjoying the Thanksgiving weekend so far.
    I watched the entirety of the Macy's Day parade after work last night. Cher!
    That parade is such an institution and I hope that it brought people together instead of dividing the nation.

    I still have the Dog show to watch, another US Thanksgiving ritual.

    I know for many of you that Thanksgiving falling on a Thursday will mean that getting together with family and friends will really take place over the weekend. Such a lovely holiday.

    Hi everyone.
    I am Dawn. 5'2" (used to be 5'3"), 63 years old as of September 20th.
    My BMI and stuff like that shows my optimum healthy weight should be between 110 and 118.

    I have made a decision to limit restaurant food to 6 times per year since I seem to gain a few pounds each time which could take 3-6 months to get back off from one visit.

    Day 57-11/18 - 143.4 - Ribs last night. So yummy. I expected a gain, but I stayed in bed much longer than usual. Maybe it will show up in the coming days. Very sore arm from my Covid and Flu vaccines, kind of lethargic too, but that could be a Ribs hangover also. Beautiful and sunny out here today, but only -5c so far. Sipping away on my coffee. It is my favourite radio day. My favourite radio night starts at 3am Sunday mornings, international shows broadcast on the overnight. I will get out for a little walk later in the day when it warms up a bit. Loving sticking to my guns and not working on Saturdays.

    Day 58-11/19 - 143.8 - I was up just before 3am to listen to the overnight shows that I love. Not working today. I did go back to bed for awhile at 6am. There is snow on the ground today, just a skiff. I will do laundry and stuff and some more cooking. My arm where I got my vaccines feels quite a bit better today. It didn't stop me from Fitness Marshall yesterday. I heard the key is to keep moving it around anyway. I am short one pack of prawns for my Jambalaya batch, so I will get out to the grocery store this morning to pick some more up. Laundry and stuff today too. I need 2 days off a week and will try to get as many of those as I can.

    Day 59-11/20 - 143.8 - Packed up 8 more Jambalaya for the freezer this morning. Weight could be worse from the Ribs on Friday, so I am okay with this weight for now.

    Day 60-11/21 - 145.8 - 4 days post Ribs, does this show how slow my metabolism is? A good eating/exercise day yesterday.

    Day 61-11/22 - 145.4 - Coming down a bit. Some days I am just resigned to being in the mid 140s and am okay with it. Not often, but some days. Working splits the next 2, so much better than working 2 jobs in one day. I much prefer the restaurant!

    Day 62-11/23 - 145.2 - Slowly coming down. Busy next few days, so I need to make sure that I have food prepped or taken out of the freezer for meals. I have company coming into town on Saturday - only each from around 1/2 hour away, but they both might stay over after we go to the Comedy Show, in case we have wine or whatever. Lots of cleaning to fit in!

    Day 63-11/24 - 144.2 - Going out with friends to a comedy show tomorrow night. I am going to eat just before I go although I know that the others will have dinner there. I want to be able to drive home, so I will keep cocktails out to 1 or 2 over the space of the night. Or maybe even none.

    Round 5: September 18 - October 08. 11.25 started with 11.0 but completely okay with that, maybe building some muscle there.

    CURRENT STRENGTH TRAINING REGIMEN
    Strength Training Mini Challenge Round #8:
    I will continue to work on batwing arms and flabby thighs. I will also try to engage in some floor/standing/chair exercising to tighten stomach area especially. I will try to add in some aerobic exercise like walking or dancing or the exercise bike AT LEAST 5 days a week. This is not my dream, it is my pledge to myself.


    Day 01 - Nov 20 – 5 min with arm loop resistance band, 30 min of brisk walking at 4 mph with video, 15 min of gen floor exercises/pilates, Iso knee therapy x 3.
    Day 02 - Nov 21 – 6 min with 5 lb weights, 30 min on exercise bike, 30 min of brisk walking 4 mph with video, 15 min of gen floor exercises/pilates, Iso knee therapy x 2.
    Day 03 - Nov 22 – 31 min on exercise bike, 60 min of Slow walking, 15 min of gen floor exercises, Iso knee therapy x 1.

    Day 64-11/25: 172.6 Walked 1hr 40 min walk yesterday which included some ‘bushwacking’. A bit intimidating to be alone in the forest but no sign of any critters.; hip and leg complained last nite. Stayed up too late drying laundry so indulged in PB&J snacks etc. Not much but enough to bounce wt back up 2#.
    Invited for “coffee” this afternoon; this will be a real struggle as they put out huge assortment of snacks etc. This invite often totally derails me but today I hope to do much better.
