    Hi, I'm a 50+ yo married female, 5'6", and tired of looking and feeling like I do. I’m making changes to get out of the Obese category, to look good in my clothing, and to have confidence in public again.

    Hi all,

    Feel like crying. Finally broke 2kg - made it to 2.7kg! loss only to cruelly gain a kilo back for no particular reason. My body has a bad habit of not cooperating. I exercised a lot yesterday- 63 minutes swimming and a 33 minute walk. Again I haven’t been eating a great quantity of food either. It is a nasty heat wave we are having.

    Hope everyone is kicking goals !

    @ddainiak - No one else in my family had the bug. I didn't have a fever, just the gastro symptoms. I seem to get this stuff twice a year.😖

    @StirredIntention - I hope you enjoyed your walk as much as I did with my kiddos tonight!

    @Melwillbehealthy - you've had several days in a row with good movement - congrats and keep it going!

    Dec 2: 165 👣 📝 🥗 🧘‍♀️ 💦 My first holiday event this weekend. Greg and I are off to Newport, RI. We go every year this time of year. It is a city set on an island in Rhode Island. Really cute shops, great restaurants. They decorte the city for Christmas. We go and see the lights, do some shopping and our annual "Taste of Newport". We usually go to 5 different restaurants (Lunch, Appetizer, Dinner, Dessert and BF the following morning), and plenty of drinks with that. This will be the first year that I'm going since I started this weight loss journey. I am going to enjoy myself, but also going to try to curb that this year. We are thinking - just small plates for each and and/or sharing. I won't be weighing tomorrow, but will be back Monday AM to catch up.

    Dec 4: 167.2 👣 It could have been a lot worse. We had a wonderful time - back at it today. Hoping it comes off as quickly as the Thanksgiving gain did. Here is a picture of us on the balcony of our room - sunset and harbor in background. It was a beautiful day - almost 50 degrees.
    Dec 5: 166.8 👣 📝 Bingo night with Mom, got home and was ravinous. Don't know why but the late night binge took place and I ate over my calorie range. It will probably show up on the scale tomorrow.

    Dec 7: 165.8 👣 📝 🥗 💦 Trying to get back to my low before our next event on the 16th. It's getting there slowly. Took a 5 mile walk at the beach yesterday - love the smell of the salt water. We were practically the only ones there - Monty had a wonderful time. Came home, did a little xmas shopping.
    Dec 8: 164.8 📝 🥗 💦 Almost there! Rest day. Monty went to the groomer; thought we would wait for him to get home before we took out walk - but it took ALL day - he was gone for 6 hours. Apparently they had some kind of problem with another customer - so they did them first. I wasn't too happy. We skipped the walk. He does look nice though.

    June weight lost: 1.6 pounds
    July weight lost: 1.3 pounds
    August weight lost: up 1 pound
    September weight loss: 1.8 pounds

    🎄December:
    1: 203.4– Time to get all gears going. I’ve been really good getting on the scale everyday, but I have a hard time with consistent logging.
    I’ve noticed that it’s easier on the computer than the phone, so my goal for December is to log every day.

    2: 203.5– logged for breakfast… it’s the very beginning of getting back into logging, so I’ll take that as a win. Baby steps.

    3: 201.6 not sure what happened… but I’ll take it. I weigh myself 4x then take the average… so we’ll see what happens tomorrow.

    4: 203.6–there is the bounce back. It’s all good though. Taking carrots to work as my crunchy snack today, along with soup and salad. My goal is to log everything today. Happy Monday!

    5: 201.3 I logged everything and it felt great!
    Let go for 2 in a row.

    6: 202.3 Day 2 of logging is complete! Let’s do 3!

    7: 202.5 Day 3 complete. It wasn't pretty but it was logged! Day 1 of exercise. Up to the Beat fitness by Gina B on YouTube is my go to exercise.

    8: 202.6 Day 4 of logging and day 2 of exercise. Starting healthy routines for 2024 now. Now to get my snacking under control!😉

    9: 202.8 Day 5 of logging and my snack monster 👿 is in overdrive… fighting the logging…but I know this is what I need to do to get and stay below 200 pounds. It takes me a good month to get everything in sync… logging, staying at or below calories, and exercise. December won’t be pretty, but I’m happy to be creating healthy routines.

    Hello, I'm a busy mom and this is my 4th month with this group. I am slowly working my way to my goal weight.

    My goal for December is to not get derailed by Christmas! This will be a challenge, because I love to eat ALL the Christmas cookies from December 25-early January. My goal will be to log from December 27-31, in addition to checking in daily.

    Start weight September 1: 141.0 lbs

    December start weight: 128.2 lbs
    December goal: 126.6 lbs Considering Christmas, I want to be conservative with my goal, but I want to still have an overall loss for the month.

    December 1: 128.2 I logged 🎄
    December 2: 129.2
    December 3: 128.8
    December 4: 129.4 I logged 🎄 Had extremely busy days on the 1st & 2nd; went out to dinner at a restaurant; and have had some hormonal issues with my cycle starting. Hopefully this is the worst of the gain. Now I can get back to my calorie goal & logging.
    December 5: 129.4 I logged 🎄
    December 6: 128.6
    December 7: 128.8 I logged 🎄
    December 8: 128.4 I logged 🎄 Lately I have found it very tough to make my calorie goal. Gotta just keep trying every day.
    December 9: 127.4 Yesssss! Yesterday it wasn't hard to reach my calorie goal. I had a big breakfast and then lots of protein in the afternoon. Maybe that had something to do with it. Or, maybe I'm getting used to my calorie goal again.

    Dec 9: 207.0 - I've been calculating my steps wrong. I'm doing about 1,500, not 3,000. I've corrected it in my goals on this entry. I'm not using a pedometer, I'm using how long I'm dancing at 120 bpm to calculate. Honestly, I'm happy if I get an hour of dancing in -- it's better than the nothing I was doing. I am seeing a lot more definition in my waist -- so it's working, even if the scale number is high. I'm still biking at least 6 miles a day. I used to take the weekends off from exercising, but I'm trying to work this in on the weekends too now. I also ate everything I saw yesterday - I figured I must have needed something, so it was a higher number today. Don't even feel bad. It's done and I'm moving forward. Have a great Saturday everyone!

The celebration: I have officially moved from the Obese category to the Overweight category by the skin of my teeth. Literally, by decimal points I have made it. My last super big deal accomplishment was getting into Onederland and this, my friends is so much bigger and more important to me than even that. It is not just a number to me. It is a symbol of health. My near celebration today: I am 0.1 point away from my lowest weight in 5 ½ years according to any records I have. I really thought I would hit it today but life doesn’t always cater to us, now does it? You can bet that I am going to be stellar, as perfect as a human can, fastidious and compulsive even, to get that 178.9 or less tomorrow! Progress has been so slow this week although my diet has been very good since the birthday party last weekend. However, due to being so sick I have had no real structured exercise for most of the days. Just on my feet more than usual due to decorating but that’s about it. It is really showing me how much exercise helps. I’ll get back at it, as soon as I am strong enough. This sickness has not subsided WHATSOEVER. But fear not, I am still your biggest fan and still over here in your corner cheering you on, even if it’s with a box of tissue in hand!

    12/09-179.6-(Trend Weight 180.9)- My “Foodie” daughter and DGS I babysit hasve been staying the weekend with me since Thursday Evening. She won’t be leaving until Sunday evening. She is a size Double Zero. She buys all the junk, brings it in, then picks at it and eats practically nothing. And I have that deep seated issue of not wasting food! I’ve got to stop being the garbage disposal. Today I will tell her what’s on MY menu for myself and politely ask her to not offer me anything out of her never-ending Mary Poppins bag.
